Training 24/7 The Life of a Triathlete

- We created this video which cronicles my training for St. Croix 70.3 starting in November 2007. I knew in February I would be giving a talk to some elementary school students to introduce them to triathlon, sports nutrition and what it means to have faith in yourself and your dreams. This video really brought my training to life for them.
Not only did the kids love the video, I can now say it was all worth it. I traveled to St. Croix in May of 2008 and placed first in my age group of 25-29 females. I qualified and competed in the Hawaii Ironman World Championships on October 10, 2008. I was blessed to have a great day and in my first ironman I finished in a time of 10 hours 58 mins, 9th female in the world in the 25-29 age group.
As a registered dietitian, I now have my own Sports Nutrition Counseling business called Fuel Your Passion. If you would like to contact me please go to my website www.fuelyourpassion.net.
You can also follow my blog at www.fuelyourpassiononline.blogspot.com. I offer nutrition counseling for athletes, as well as coaching services. Please check out my Kona Video for a follow up to this video!
Take care and best of luck in your future endevors! Спорт

Inspirational,! I suffer from partial epilepsy and your experience and focus is awesome,,,10-17 hr's a week on the bike and I love it ,,my journey is to get well enough to race without time out for a "partial" Have been told many times to give up and accept it,,Good to see someone else so focused ,,hello from New Zealand ;)
"you only live one but if you work it right, one is enough." wow love it,
God Bless You!!
Damn this is sooo motivating!
Great video very well done very inspiring
Kimberly, I thoroughly enjoyed your video...kudos to your husband his support. In Nov 07 I joined masters swim class at the Y. Soon enough I was rubbing shoulders with triathletes, normal people with super dedication and drive. I joined a tri class and did my first tri in Apr 08. This year I'm training for the Kansas 70.3 and reading the Triathlete's Training Bible. It's an incredible journey. I'm loving every minute, so I totally understand how you feel. Best of luck in Kona this year!
Great video! I started a triathlon vlog documenting my training and journey as I am trying to go pro in the future. So a lot of things you talked about hit home with me. Thanks for sharing!

Great job on your finish in both the St. Croix 70.3 and the Hawaii Ironman. I just raced in my first sprint triathlon and I'm envious of the beautiful countryside you get to train in. I'm training on the busy streets of Florida (way too many cars)

That's funny you say that.. Now I'm a professional triathlete so lucky for me I travel all over the country to train when I need to do so! I love the hard training in the winter because it makes me tougher than the other girls in those easy temps and when I need a break I get out of town! So nice of you to comment though! Not so dull after all making my living doing something I love.. :)

My goal is to complete the iron man competition in Klagenfurt 2012. At the end of this year I'll straighten up my work outs. Enough about me ;) KEEP GOING GIRL! :)
Awsome, congratulations. I agree with you, this can be done only a few years of our lives, so why not to give a chance to live our dreams?
