    Hey, I got the gl0067, in 42mm with white dial and leather strap, and it's fantastic! The movement is sooo smooth and super accurate, and the leather strap that came with it is one of the best I ever got. Love it!

    I recently picked up a bronze gl390 that I love, I'm looking at the airman, also in bronze with the off white dial, just vintage perfection.

      Bronze is such an interesting case material. That is a great color combo (bronze and white). Have a great week!

    I’ve travelled around Asia with my Airman 18 (much smaller dial which better fits my wrist). I love this watch, but there are shortcomings for use as a travel watch. First, since it uses an ETA 2893 derived movement, it’s definitely clunky to use as you fly from airport to airport. The workaround is to set the watch to the final destination time the night before flying. I also set the GMT hand to final destination. Then, as I fly, I use the rotating bezel to quickly set the local time every time I land at an intermediate destination. For my particular watch, the GMT hand isn’t lumed, which, for me, makes no sense. In the end, I love my Airman and despite now having a traveler GMT, this watch will remain in my collection.

      Great tip on GMT hand and bezel uses. I'm stealing those! Have a great week!

    I have the double 12 Glycine @ 40mm, and it wears great.

      I think the 40mm would be more my size considering the length from lug to lug. Mine feels longer than other watches with a similar diameter. Have a great week and thanks for the comments!

    In order to wear this one I'd have to move to Canada and work as a wood chopper for a while. Unfortunately, until that, my wrists are insufficient for this one 😂

    I love the Glycine Airman ... but not all versions. My favorite is the Base 22.
    The other new 'concern' about Glycine is what their new owners Invicta might do with the brand.
    Butterfly clasp ... uggggg ... so hard to get a good fit.

    • @Realidealgear
      @Realidealgear  8 месяцев назад +1

      Agree with you on ALL counts. Invicta has been true to leaving Glycine alone...for now. I would say the new ownership concern should start to evaporate...that was 8 years ago. If Invicta was going to meddle with Glycine in the way Invicta is terrorizing their own designs, I think there would've been some substantive results by now. We'll see. Thanks for commenting and watching.

    Definitely not for me for many reasons. A butterfly clasp HAS to have half links IMO. But I love their Combat Sub. You went full TGV with the history lesson. Very cool. Now to find a joke telling dinosaur…🦖

      Agreed on the clasp. I've shut many internet tabs of watches with butterfly clasps...this one snuck in and fortunately fit. We'll see what the fit is like when I start working my outdoor job and lose my winter physique. TGV does such thorough backgrounds on watches he reviews. If I had the time to add some context or history to watches, I would...it takes about 50% more time to assemble a segment like that. I did a similar test-run segment with my Hruodland review. Thanks for sharing and have a great week!

    Space walk is a fish story but it’s still a cool watch and a great review Tim.

    The lume on my Glycine suxks, and from your video yours is not good either. Your watch lume faded within 15 bloddy minutes. That is pathetic, I have other brands with great lume and they do not fade that quick.....

    • @Realidealgear
      @Realidealgear  8 месяцев назад

      The initial intense lume faded, yes. However, I can read it in the dark 6-7 hours later. It's an all night lume.

      @@Realidealgear I can read mine also after my eyes have adjusted, but its very dimm. Compare the lume to a seiko diver. Glycine lume is pathetic
