Just started Blender. You have been one of the best teachers by far! The fact you always go over what you're doing is really helpful. A few other vids just seem to lack explanations with the tools and other things that are going on.
Best tutorial! I'm challenging myself to learn blender and make a small low poly set with a couple characters in a month and this came in really clutch!
After a conversation on Twitter yesterday I decide to give low poly in blender another try, and who should come up in my search… the internet is small, or perhaps our niche is
I think a feature that could be added in the keys you are pressing on your keyboard so like when selecting multiply things in blender when we delete the camera and light I would click on both so I would need to hold shift but to use the select box one uses the main mouse button to click and drag or like to move the model holding the middle mouse button. I think just having the keys you are pressing being recorded and shown up either above or below the magnifier window would be really helpful.
You can hold shift and select each edge you want to move. I use industry standard hotkeys and controls so in that setting you can double click an edge and itll select all of its neighbor edges in the loop.
Why do the faces have slightly different measurements when scaling the lid in? I thought I was imaging it, but I used the measurement tool and it always shows they're off?
The plural for axis is axes. It's kind of pronounced "ack sees". This is the same pattern in analysis, analyses. Crisis, crises. Hypothesis, hypotheses. Parenthesis, parentheses.
Its just my workflow. If a cylinder or circle works for others, I encourage anyone to take the path theyre most comfortable with when modeling or texturing.
Just seen this video. Firstly. Thank you for this! Second, please do more!! 😂 would love to see a course, which I’d happily buy. And third, you’ve earned a sub. Once again, thank you.
this is the best entry level low poly tutorial ive seen so far tysm 💖

When I use insert face to modify the top at 6:26. the handle isn't exactly centered, so the ring doesn't form properly.

When you select the outer edges all at once, how do you do that? Mines only shifts one edge at a time

Ive tried to scale all the edges but cant as theres no blue square for me to pull but just an arrow. Would you know how to solve this?

This is exactly what I wanted to do when starting Blender. Also couldn’t you just start with a circle instead of a cube and why didn’t we.

10/10
I cannot for the life of me figure out how you turned that cube into a stick
