Sorry, I'm sick right now. That's why I've voiced over with the "nose-sound". Sorry for that. Just want to deliver a good video on the weekend. Special thanks to TTTricks and ldb579932 for their amazing footages.
In the demonstrations, when they serve their shoulders hide the contact. Their serves are great, but they are (slightly) illegal IMO. Nice video; lots of good information.
Back to watch the very popular video of this channel 😁😁 NO DOUBT, Ma Lin has the best service! Thanks for the video :) Even XXL version serve is also good.😂 Because it's a service of Ma Lin. 😎 I will try to do it with short pips. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Great video. I think when talking backspin serve you should also talk no spin fake backspin serve though, when you have a very heavy backspin serve it can be very effektive to hit a no spin serve that looks like backspin and then when you cut under it to hit it back you lift it too high and it can be easily smashed
Emratthich explination is an incorrect word. The correct one is explanation. Spell as x-pla-nation. Video is awesome and amazing. Loved every bit of it.
Thank you for your videos. Tips inside are amazing. I made my serve more spinny, but I must train wrist for good acceleration. thx again. - Can I ask you a question about training legs and FH topspin? When I play FH topspin I often make angle in my elbow, I think main reason is the slow legs, or wrong steps, can you provide some tips how to train legs and topspin technique solo(right now it try to play 95% with FH I get this tip from one of your video), because I have not much time for training with advanced players. But I have access to table to train solo. Thank you very much again.
we want more match analysis video coach emratthic we love you thanks a lot for everything ( like this video : Table Tennis: Amazing 10 years old kid in China )
Hi coach, for more spin on serve, you suggest tacky and hard rubber, one question for DHS rubber like hurricane or neo, is it need to apply booster on ?
Hi coach ERT. My coach always uses a variety of trick serve - sometimes side spin, sometimes under spin and sometimes topspin. How did he serve top spin but his hand position is like serve under spin.. He won't tell me, he ask me to figure it out myself.. Can u help me? ^^
i dont think this serve is useless in a match. i think this serve is core. mostly used to prevent opponent from flicking. even ma long uses it, short along the line to the opponent's fh.
Unlike many of your other videos, this tutorial isn't that good. There are no technical aspects as to how to perform it, which is the main part, as without learning the technical steps, it is simply impossible to learn this serve (or any other difficult serve for that matter). I've finally learned this serve and here are my technical key points one must use when performing this serve: 1. The start of your serve: Your toss is very important and should land slightly behind the center of your body, enabling you to create more spin (because of the momentum and follow through of your bat and body). 2. During the serve: Your bat angle must go from horizontal to a backward lean, i.e. imagine a curve sloping upwards - that is your racquet movement. 3. After the serve: Your follow through with your racquet is crucial for a good spin. Use your wrist AND forearm after impact and try to almost hit your stomach with your bat. If done correctly and smoothly (key word is smoothly, you really do not have to force the ball when attempting spinny serves), add a bit of lean angle to really make this serve difficult to return. Hope this helped :)
So even when doing other serves like side underspin or side topspin, we should still keep our elbow fixed and stop using forearm?Only wrist and body rotation on all serves?
The rotation explanation confuses me, they both look like same amount of rotation, neither semi or full circle. Can you explain again or do another vidfeo?
Ghost serve is super effective against beginner level players, can give you a lot of aces. Against higher level players as you said set up serves work better but as an occasional surprise going for an ace with a ghost serve or a long fast serve still can very very effective. You just can't use it too much like you can against beginner level players
EmRatThich Table Tennis Coach when u mean bouncy do u mean the tenergy and other stiga rubbers like airoc m. those dhs rubbers r costly which r called hard rubbers

EmRatThich Table Tennis Coach hi, does anyone want to subscribe to each other?
Which comes first body rotation or wrist
Tip 4 (that u missed): take off your shirt before practicing underspin serve
+Async Shahriar lol. hahaha
Got it!.. 😂
LEL, the XXL version hits the ball so well it hardly passes 10cm on the other side and then returns to back to his own side. Thats amazing!

EmRatThich Table Tennis Coach I just thought the name "Ghost Serve" was cool. Yeah I liked it, might try playing someday.

Bcoz you are lonely without balls :)

Thank you coach! Please make a video on sidespin service and how to do service practice
Is it necessary to keep the T-shirt off, while practicing this serve...???!!!☺☺☺
t-shirt off makes your serve extra spin, trust me
So glad you asked
Yes
is amazing how some of them even did it with the t-shirt on, they must have been beginners tough
Ya that's black magic
He practice same serve 8 thousand times a day and practice around 7 hours a day
Haha, making your videos funny makes them more interesting and fun to watch. By the way, xxl version was great 😂
keep making such videos, coach
Penhold grip is the BEST. MORE PENHOLD GRIP VIDEOS!!! 🏓🏓🏓

Kinshuk Joshi lol, the correct word is explanation. And the coach wrote explication which is a bit formal, but not incorrect.
thank you :) explanation
Also, you are pronouncing technique 'tek-nik', but it should be 'tek-neek'. Love everything you're doing for us coach!
+Norman Hathaway thank you. my old mistake
Legend has it Joao is still serving on that table.
XXL Version is Extremely good!!
Love you Ma lin
thanks for the lesson

Excellent, keep seeing it
XXL version is GREAT!!!
I liked a lot this tutorial!
The XXL version is the best. The balls all return and stick to the net as final resting position.
Wow i was messing around when doing table tennis with friends and i actually started serving like that without knowing it is a real move
we want more match analysis video coach emratthic we love you thanks a lot for everything ( like this video : Table Tennis: Amazing 10 years old kid in China )

love ur videos
Coach, what is the end credits theme song that you play every video, please? I love it!
"Im the boss, I'm very sorry sorry for your loss" :)
@@pingsunday this whole time I thought it was "on the bus, America we sorry for your loss"😅

Is it possible to generate such back spin service with intermediate racket like stiga medium quality rubber not expensive rubber.
Serves plz next vedio very easy returnibg serves

What would a teacher have to sell you if not his/her/their/its knowledge? Suck it up, buttercup. Love don't pay the bills.
Interesting (unnecessary) comment, there are no technical applications which makes it a poor "tutorial". That's all.
Someone please tell me what the noise is Everytime someone serves? Is it a foot stomping, or the paddle hitting the table?
foot stomping
So even when doing other serves like side underspin or side topspin, we should still keep our elbow fixed and stop using forearm?Only wrist and body rotation on all serves?
Anyone have a link to a video from the server side? Hard to see what he’s doing from this angle.
What is this semi circle and full circle in table tennis
the XXL version is definitely better! haha
I believe pen holder has severe disadvantage for playing backhand shots. I have seen Ma Lin always defending while playing backhand shots.
Follow wang hao's Reverse Pen backhand. That technique balances out penholders. :)
Do we have to do the same in all serves to add more spin
Good
Upload a video based on how to keep eyes on ball
smoke a joint and then play
That is funny i love it
nice
Dear ERT
Please let me Link to original video with the Jumbo guy training.
Thanks to you a lot.
yes. ofcourse. Can you give me the link. I will credit it
cool ! :)
Ma Lin is like the Jackie Chan of Table Tennis
The rotation explanation confuses me, they both look like same amount of rotation, neither semi or full circle. Can you explain again or do another vidfeo?
You did not explain the bat angle when you contact the ball and would also like to see the contact point in slow motion please.
jun mizutani's ghost serve is more compact, putting it in a short toss.
gj coach
Why do you stomp your foot after every contact on serve?
xxl version :D
The XXL version of Ma Lin! xD

hey emratich for this type of a serve u need a very gripy rubber tight???
yes, grippy, or tacky rubber. But don't choose bouncy rubber. Hard tacky rubber is the best rubber to do the tricky serve.
EmRatThich Table Tennis Coach when u mean bouncy do u mean the tenergy and other stiga rubbers like airoc m. those dhs rubbers r costly which r called hard rubbers
Rapid Spectre Please watch Coach's video on rubbers. He has given awesome explaination on them and which one to choose for your playing style.
Kinshuk Joshi Lol, you were correcting the spelling and all and then wrote explaination? It's explanation, dude.
Because I Say So
ha ha ha... Thanks for pointing it out. My bad. My bad.

Your body cover the ball
