Since there might be a huge missunderstanding in the comments: *Cleopatra was white* .. (greek) she ruled over egypt after greece took over. You guys might wanna check your history books again. She was from the ptolemaic Family of rulers (related to alexander the great). Her Family ruled over egypt several hundreds of years but still they were greek (spoke greek too).
I'm Egyptian, A COPTIC CHRISTIAN EGYPTIAN, I shout that out loud because we are the most pure blooded Egyptians out there and that's not only my opinion that's what Egyptologists, Historians and Scientists also agreed on , and I tell you that every word that Bassem Youssef said is right and I totally agree with him. Yes Egypt had lots of mixed cultures throughout its history like for example: Greeks, Romans and Arabs, but the Egyptian blood didn't mix and change that much and that's because for centuries we Egyptians had a golden tradition rule to marry our cousins, and that tradition is still present until now especially in Upper Egypt(from Assiut to Aswan), Although that tradition seems silly and bad from a scientific biological point of view, but that doesn't matter, silly or not we kept that tradition of marrying our cousins for centuries and that helped us to preserve our pure Egyptian blood not mixed as long as we could, and the result is what you see now and that is Modern Egyptians looks typical to their Ancient Egyptian Ancestors, just look at my skin color and Bassem Youssef's skin color we are almost the same although he is a Muslim who was born and lived in Cairo and I am a Coptic Christian who was born and lived in Luxor and there is almost a 1000 km distance between us, doesn't that tell you a thing or two about who Ancient Egyptians were and what they looked like? With all due respect for all the Black people and all the other ethnicities out there, but we Egyptians are special very special, WE ARE NOT Black or White or Yellow, Not Europeans or Africans or Asians, Not Assyrians or Persians or Israelites or Nubians or Greeks or Romans or Arabs or French or Italians or Germans or British or Turkish or Ukrainians, Not Middle Easterners or Caucasians or Mediterraneans or Levants or Amazigh or Berbers or even North Africans. WE ARE EGYPTIANS, WE ARE VERY UNIQUE!
Marrying your cousins is not really something you should be proud about. Look at the pakis and how it’s affected their culture and you’ll see why it’s not recommended by geneticists 😅 As for Egyptians being unique or special, I disagree. Modern Egyptians aren’t special in any way. But you could make a convincing argument that your ancestors were special in that they were amongst the first to develop a civilisation due to the ‘gift of the Nile’ as it is called. If Egyptians were so unique from everyone else then why did they get conquered by the Hyksos who introduced wheels and horses to your ancestors? Why were they then conquered by the Persians, and the Greeks, and the romans, and the ottomans, and the British? That’s not special or unique, this world is a refuge for the conquered. Why is it only recently that you have once more been governed by actual Egyptians? And how comes your ancestors gave up your culture, your language, your religion, for someone else’s language (Arabic) and someone else’s religion (Christianity, Islam) an someone else’s culture (Arabs)? That’s not special either, it’s what has happened to the conquered everywhere. If there’s an argument to be made, as to which people are ‘unique’ or ‘special’, brother, then I would argue for the Jews as they have kept their religion for thousands of years and managed to keep their language alive despite being scattered to the wind like seeds. That is a true miracle. Would you not agree with this assessment? I say all of this with affection with no intention to degrade. I am from Southern Africa and I agree with you 100% that your ancestors were not black people the way I and my ancestors are. The people who want to claim your history for themselves are ignorant fools (mainly Americans) and know nothing of their own history. We who know our own history have no need intention whatsoever to claim yours and we consider it embarrassing that anyone would engage in such a lie for any reason.
Why are people using black, white, brown, yellow, tan, blue, green, turquoise, etc. to describe Cleopatra. Almost no one used those terms the way we use them today, 2000 or even 500 years ago. People had less ambiguous ethnic monikers for other people.
I did not mention anything about language. I was talking about when did people start using ambiguous color terms for races because almost no one used those even 500 years ago. I just curious.
my ancestors called sub saharan people "Aithiopes" (Burned faces) for many thousands of years. That is where the name Aithiopia comes from. There were many different ways to distinquish races of people and colour was among them

Oh my god...Legionaries with bucklers and centurions with axes...

"I will sleep with anyone... *as long as they agree to be executed in the morning*." FEISTY
And yet she didn't kill Julius Caeser
Am I the only one in love with Cleopatra's voice?
4:05 does this give everyone else chills when they hear this?
Fun fact: Cleopatra married her brother
Killion Ryan so did basically every other pharaoh / wanna be pharaoh of Egypt , it was kind of a non written requirement
alot of kings in Queens did that to keep power
Both of them.
That's actually normal for Egyptian royalty.
ALABAMA 100
I dont know... Sinice she meets with Caesar she seems so out of her character.... The coversation with Aya about entery to the tomb is so unnatural....
Aya: do you think we could take them all?
Bayek: of course, we've better gods than them
Is that a female playable character I see in some? Or is it like, just random side missions that have you take a different person's view?
I think it's like ac syndicate where you switch from jacob and evie
No it's just the wife of the main character , you play as her in some missions.
Wow, she's T H I C C.
No, she isn't...

[Chicken legs]

Oh seriously I do believe that 2000 years ago the Egyptians had such accurate maps
They probably did??
They probably did. Egyptians were very smart people. Considering what kind of buildings they built i dont think maps were a problem for them
13:36 he’s right, after all Aya is the granddaughter of Alexios/Kassandra who were demigods
They lived in Egypt for over 300 years. They weren't white. No history book called her white, she was closer to olive skinned.
@@majeedmamah7457 Lucan did. As well as frescoes from Herculaneum.
i need a fucking throne lol
i haven't played Origins yet, but does anybody else notice that the Serpent (the skull with the hat) looks a lot like the iconic picture of Nefertiti?
11:48 Looks like we have an ancestor of The Black Knight.
13:53 LOL WTF
Hahaha
"You were meant to kneel"
Bayek: DO I LOOK LIKE BRUH
yall cleopatra isn’t 100% egyptian. she’s practically from greece
WE ARE
EGYPTIANS,
WE ARE
VERY UNIQUE!
Marrying your cousins is not really something you should be proud about. Look at the pakis and how it’s affected their culture and you’ll see why it’s not recommended by geneticists 😅
As for Egyptians being unique or special, I disagree.
We who know our own history have no need intention whatsoever to claim yours and we consider it embarrassing that anyone would engage in such a lie for any reason.
now THIS is the representation of Cleopatra
not like the Netflix show
i always loved the assassins creed games for their historate accuratie
Every time I met Cleo I was thinking “MY QUEEN” “SHE’S GONNA JUMP MY BRUDDAS”
Why is this cleopatra more bad ass then this stupid show on Netflix
should have given her more costumes
Time Traveler: *Sneezing
Grandma: "Cleopatra was black."
Cleopatra was a trans woman.
The only queen in history who needs no introduction
Is there a reason aya looks almost twice cleopatra size?
Because she's the MC.
Nobblk Praetorian MC? What is that
Zachary Shepard she is thiccer in every way
Elle Madara main charectar
No racial, shes full blooded Egyptian, they were huge as hell back then, and....she Bayeks wife
Cleopatra, like many nobles and royal members, was actually a very big woman
She looks stunning :')
Why are people using black, white, brown, yellow, tan, blue, green, turquoise, etc. to describe Cleopatra. Almost no one used those terms the way we use them today, 2000 or even 500 years ago. People had less ambiguous ethnic monikers for other people.
Roderick Clerk They didnt speak English either, do you not care about that?
I did not mention anything about language. I was talking about when did people start using ambiguous color terms for races because almost no one used those even 500 years ago. I just curious.
my ancestors called sub saharan people "Aithiopes" (Burned faces) for many thousands of years. That is where the name Aithiopia comes from. There were many different ways to distinquish races of people and colour was among them
16:45 walks into a pillar while holding Cleopatra TWICE
