This came across my feed. I suppose because I'm an Egyptologist. Stunning graphics on this scene. But I must say; there's absolutely no 'Alpine' mountains anywhere near the real location of Memphis.
I wondered about that. And the iron helmets & breastplates worn by guards? And did ancient Egyptians have rugs like that? Well, maybe in the 26th Dynasty,
I didn't see any cartouches...and I don't remember a female pharaoh figure having a lion head near that time...tho this complex was filled with them...and the water Buffalo looking heads on the statues look off...not like horah...the one they worshipped
Egypt and Rome lived in real comfort these buildings are unreal just wonderful I dont know why someone does not make a movie with the use of technology’s today they could create this magic along with a great story
These are more like temple complexes and maybe the Pharaoh’s living quarters. Only a select few priests and the upper, upper elite would ever do anything but visit or serve in a place like this.
I commented this elsewhere before I saw your comment. But YEAH I DO wonder why people aren't making films with this sort of look and design. They either do Live-Action with CGI or 2D and 3D cartoon animations. Video game walk-through styles would be very interesting to put on film. And wouldn't it be easier to make than an entire video game itself?

I've been to Egypt. It was not pleasant experience. Museums were top notch, but people on the street are unapologetically rude, especially to tourists. Every cab you get into, and every attraction you visit, people will try to con you. If you must go to Egypt, go on a guided tour with a reputable tour agency. The resort, where we stayed on the Red Sea, the last few days of the trip, was very nice. If you want to see antiquities, Cypress, Greece, Italy, Jordan all have a lot to offer. My personal favorite was India, where we were with a tour group. I wish we had more time there. The landscape is amazing, and it's the cradle of civilization.
The Indus valley civilization was more ancient and more advanced than the Egyptian. They had better urban planning, a sewage system, everyone was more equal, while Egypt had a pharopah and a few of upper class living in luxury, indus had no religion but spiritualism, they a writing system but it hasn't been cracked yet

This is a game? I thought it was computerised history. Been to Eygpt and did the Nile Cruise before lockdown. As a fan of Eygptian history this is marvellous.
This is such a great escape into the magical world of the past. Though it's temporary, but I appreciate that for a brief moment, I could used it to escape from this mundane reality. ✨🌌✨

Wow! I’m not even into games and I thought it was amazing to have a time travel experience into ancient Egyptian! This was awesome! I’m sure it’s not a perfect replication but let’s say close enough for a modern human to experience the ancient world.
My country is Egypt and there is a place like this if you want to have a real experience in a place called the Pharaonic Village. You can go there and see this for real in Giza, Cairo. We welcome you.

Thanks for keeping it green! The modern desert environment seems to have been caused by flocks overgrazing--something no monarch would have allowed, or the nomadic Bedouin shepherds who had a rotational grazing system for their flocks, evidently by treaties between their sheiks until the 1950s. Although that was in Saudi Arabia, I suspect the same practices were in place in Egypt. The tall palms and other trees represented in Egypt's statuary, IMO, probably REVEAL the ancient, forested landscape more than they would have CONTRASTED with it as now seems the case. How cool it would be to see that in real life today!
it is lovely to hear what we believe Ancient Egyptian sounded like. Some speakers seem to be more natural speaking than others who sound like they are reading from a script. I am not diminishing their value, I just like the natural speakers or folks who really speak it so much, they flow better over the material.

This is beautiful. I've been to the ruins of Memphis and sadly, there is little left of what was once the greatest city on Earth. The modern day city surrounds the site and there may be ruins underneath modern day structures. But there are no mountains in that area like the ones in this video, although it does make for an interesting backdrop.

How did the Egyptians deal with mice infestations? No wonder they worshipped cats and mummified them even. I like the rendition of administrative facilities except that I imagine row upon row of desks/seats of accountants/book keepers, bench seating for clients wanting to be paid, people waiting etc. Egypt must have been abundantly fertile with produce that was exported everywhere across the Mediterranean. I would have liked to see more of the colour Azure, since they were abundant with azurite as much as they were with malachite and turquoise. In fact I see azurite as Egypts identity colour. Clear blue skies and flat horizons. Much more drapery since they made lotus silk that was cool and provided shade. And lotus silk absorbs dye very well. The ancient world was enlightened before the world was plunged into a dark age. I enjoyed this video very much. Thank you.

Okay weather or not the games themselves are worth a hoot. These historical map recreations are spectacular. AC Odyssey looks incredible as well. I hope they do some more of these. Especially more roman era games.

How did the Egyptians deal with mice infestations? No wonder they worshipped cats and mummified them even. I like the rendition of administrative facilities except that I imagine row upon row of desks/seats of accountants/book keepers, bench seating for clients wanting to be paid, people waiting etc. Egypt must have been abundantly fertile with produce that was exported everywhere across the Mediterranean. I would have liked to see more of the colour Azure, since they were abundant with azurite as much as they were with malachite and turquoise. In fact I see azurite as Egypts identity colour. Clear blue skies and flat horizons. Much more drapery since they made lotus silk that was cool and provided shade. And lotus silk absorbs dye very well. The ancient world was enlightened before the world was plunged into a dark age. I enjoyed this video very much. Thank you.

Okay weather or not the games themselves are worth a hoot. These historical map recreations are spectacular. AC Odyssey looks incredible as well. I hope they do some more of these. Especially more roman era games.
