- Replacing the DLP chip inside a BenQ MX710 DLP Video projector. I picked up a pair of these on eBay earlier this year and finally got around to repairing them. This video is not as instructional and has no narration. I did this in purpose as a bit of an homage to some of the restoration channels I enjoy. There is another DLP replacement video for this MX710 that will be uploaded shortly with full narration. The lamp # is 5J.J3V05.001

Great video. i was able to notice im missing the second option on my roulette and all i can do is change the focus but i can reduce image size and it currently is way too big for my livingroom. Any idea anyone what could i do ? thanks
I've got an mp626 with a still new lamp, but bad DMD. Tried to open to prep to replace it and I ended up ripping two of the connector housings when removing them. How much would it be to send it to you and have the DMD replaced? And maybe a video outta it :)
Frank, i have a BENQ MP610. It was in storage for 6 years. Now it will not turn on or show any signs of life. Can you advise on what I can do? Im in NY.

HI Frank I got BenQ MP525 ST , it works fine upright but when I put it on a ceiling bracket(upside down) it starts flickering like the colour wheel is going nuts. Any idea what is causing this?
Frank, all the DLP ICs use a socket? They are not soldered to the PCB?

Some chips mount this way. Others use a frame/bracket that allows them to connect without being soldered. This makes manufacturing easier I suspect and definitely makes repair easier. You gave me a great video idea. I'll make another showing the different DLP mounting methods. Thanks again my friend.
Hello sir, I have a similar model, the projected image has dots and the image is pretty unclear, is it the same problem or different problem?
Most likely the same issue. DMD failures will show white flickering spots and poor image quality.

Could be a few things. Sometimes that's a bad dmd chip. If the lens assembly was ever damaged (dropped etc) that can be a cause. I'm leaning towards a dmd though since it's always blurry. If you want to link a picture, I can give a better diagnosis.
@@FixitFrank absolutely, i can link a photo. not sure where tho. the color wheel sometimes wont spin and the lamp wont turn on but i just pull out the power cable and try again, pulled it all apart and doesnt spin longer than a couple rotations before stopping.

Думаю, я понял. Хотите 1080p за 5000 рублей или меньше? Android в порядке, но вам не нужно его использовать?
Ищите Mitsubishi, NEC, Acer, Panasonic и Viewsonic. Они должны быть около 5000 рублей. Optoma, BenQ и Epson будут дороже. Купите проектор DLP, если можете. DLP силен как Лада!
