    Great video, very helpful!
    I was doing this and found a slight shortcut: for the two brackets that hold the bulb in place, you only have to completely remove one. With the easier-to-remove bracket all the way off, you can loosen the screws on the other bracket, and the bulb wiggles free pretty easily. It's still possible to install the new bulb, making sure to line up that notch that the video points out.

      Hello mate! Any drawbacks in projection after replacing the bulb? I mean like more brightness on one side than the other, or more brightness in the center than in the corners compared to the original?

    You should always have gloves on and never touch bulb by bare hands. It will shorten bulb life if not.

  • @Kammaflaje
    @Kammaflaje 6 лет назад +26

    Do not.. I mean DO NOT change bulb without cotton gloves. If you get oil on the outside of the bulb you shorten the bulb life length by half. I mean it seriously don't do it like this dude. Everything else is good only thing are the gloves he don't use.

    Good morning,
    I state that I can not hear the audio of your video.
    In another user's video I saw that between the lamp and the external plastic door there is a sheet of transparent plastic adhesive to seal the lamp from dust.
    The person who made the video, removed the transparent sticker before removing the lamp and then, after inserting a new lamp, put a new sheet of transparent plastic adhesive to seal the lamp from the dust and then inserted the plastic outer door to close the projector.
    In the opening video, there is no clear plastic sheet to seal the lamp from dust. Neither before nor after ...
    Because?
    thank you

    I'm from India and when I called up Benq repair center they told me cost of a replacement bulb would be around 200 USD. But I can see bulbs of my Benq model w1050 on eBay for $80. If I were to keep using my projector, do you think the bulbs will still be available in 4 or 5 years or so? I really don't want my projector to go to waste. And also do you think it's good to buy from eBay?
