Attitude. Skills. Plan.
Haven’t shot this yet - but held one and this is not just for women. I have thick hands but short fingers. This fit like a glove.
hmm, kinda like me. maybe I'll give it a try
I have big hands, long fingers. I'm 6'3" and around 200lbs. I fluctuate between 190 and 205. This is a decent gun even for me!
I googled she dp and now my accountability partner has lots of questions.
Dude😂😂
🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
@Bry Zeer Thanks, you ruined the joke.😂
@Bry Zeer Well, if you have an accountability partner, you probably have a program like Covenant Eyes. It’s usually installed on every piece of tech you own. So, if you were to google something like this, it would be sent to your accountability partner, because that’s how those programs work. Now that I’ve explained it, the joke isn’t funny anymore.
Fun fact. That initial creep in the trigger will fizzle out after a couple hundred rounds. Mine did the same thing. Now it’s firm wall, then break. No creep. Great gun. 2,000 plus rounds with 0 malfunctions.
This is not only a she gun. Had my range instructor shoot it and he is looking to buy one. He is 6’2 and about 260. Big hands, big guy. A woman friend at 5’1 loves her 3.5. Universally a great release from Walther.
Well, it IS specifically built for women though. Men can certainly shoot it, but they used 20,000 scans of women's hands to figure out the optimal configuration for most women.
Fantastic they designed it for women because that’s a growing section of gun owners who have had to deal with guns designed for men.
Totally agree! Just saying, it actually WAS designed for women specifically. Doesn't mean men can't use it of course.
I got the 4" PDP F. Absolutely love it. I shoot it more accurately thanks to the reduced grip for my dwarf hands.
Held this yesterday and am absolutely in love. Will be getting one for sure. Had a gent that has the pdp hold it and he loved it as well. Definitely after the 3.5 variant
Three dudes talking that Walther up. I like it
Trigger is better than a VP9.
Picked one up at Cableas for $549, and qualified for the free Ameriglo optic ($379 MSRP...$$250 street value). Figuring the value of the optic, we are looking at a $300 pistol. But wait, there's more, I had $180 in Cabela's bucks so it wound up being a $120 pistol plus tax. Holy Smokes Batman! Waiting for the optic to arrive, but this may be a budget Staccato CS Killer!
That's a heck of a deal!
I have a 4” compact PDP plus a 4 ½ “ and 5” full-size PDP. Beautiful guns with excellent triggers. I purchased a 3 ½” F series today. When I compared it to my other PDP's it was easy to see that the trigger on the F series is absolute crap. I went back to the store to return the F series gun but they don’t accept returns on firearms. I looked at two other F series guns while at the store thinking maybe I just got a defective gun but those guns had sticky weird triggers too. So disappointed with the F series…
Huh that's weird.
Time to replace your HKp30 with a Walther! Joking of course
Ew.
“She-DP”. The internet really did rescue this product from its marketing.
Got the pdp for my wife definitely going to get this one it’s a fantastic gun thanks for a great video
Better than any glock trigger easily
I agree.
Got the 4inch pdp compact, best polymer striker l own. Best ergonomics, trigger, light weight, and fit n finish is excellent.. I also own glock, sig, Smith, HK. Just my opinion. Great thing is we are in a fantastic time for choices in guns.
I keep hearing people say it's snappy. What's your opinion?
I have one of these in the full size frame with the 4.5" barrel. I stippled the grip myself and got an aftermarket magwell as well as some extended magazine floorplates giving it a 21+1 capacity. Surefire X300U-B underneath and topped off with an Aimpoint ACRO P1. It's an awesome gun and has one of the if not the best factory triggers on the market.
@Zac's DIY Guns I've heard that. I've no experience with it and my comment is only my opinion.
What brand extended magazine floor plates did you use?
@@allenc4909 Taylor Freelance. My magwell came from there too...
Thanks! Did you have to get new springs?
@@allenc4909 Nope! The base plates/mag extensions come with their own springs to replace the factory spring!
N that’s out box trigger when it’s broken in that trigger is even better once broken in on PDP
I have held one and it's really comfortable. I was discussing it with my older brother and he's already ripping on me for it. We are talking about a 60 year old retired cop who wears a bracelet.
Tell him it’s perfect for his withered, arthritic body
I am a man and wear Large nitrile gloves when working, that F-Series feels darn good in the hand. I am bummed the upgraded Walther trigger isn't compatible and they haven't seemed to release one yet. I may move from my p365 to that thing just because of how well it felt. Trigger is for sure better than my Sig too but man, Walther has such a great trigger upgrade for the normal PDP.
It’s a good gun!
Give them time. This gun seems to be gaining popularity.
Hahaha...I thought I was the only one who referred to himself as being " correct handed ". I am considering this gun as my next handgun. I have been trying to find one in ANY store near me without success. I am male but have. small hands and want this as another carry piece.
Few points to add
The hand grip module is narrower to allow for smaller hands and the shorter trigger reach
Barrel is shorter, c'mon guys you forgot to mention that.
Sub-compact size pistol
Someone didn't think about the possible associations, when they came up with "She DP" !!!
I am definitely going to have to try that gun for my wife.
Why not let your wife try that gun for your wife☺️
Need to pick one up guys compact or full I love mine n feels better then any HK I’ve held or shot on ergos n better trigger still German quality
Walther has another trigger that is apparently even better, not sure why they don't just put that version in the gun from the factory but hey at least people have a factory option right out of the gate if they are itching for what people have said is a markedly better trigger. That being said the PDP trigger out of the box is VERY light, like you will pull through the wall without meaning for a bit until you've dry fired it enough to notice where the wall is and how much room you have before it breaks. Once you do get used to it though it is a defined wall that you can easily stage to. Personally not a trigger snob, I have only met one trigger I didn't like and that was on the APX.
PS. He mentioned that the gun wanted the slide racked quite far for reset, I tested my PDP and I only have to pull it back about 1cm before it resets (and you can feel the build-up right before you hear it), so I'm not sure if they changed something on the F series but the standard PDP only needs about as much travel as the HK.
That trigger is for sale in another pdp its the pdp sd pro
Two piece striker is why it’s easier to rack 😘
Let's see Walther make a non -F branded one exactly like the -F. S&W had to do the same thing with the LadySmith line because guys realized they were pretty good but didn't want to carry a gun with Lady anything on it. S&W got the branding right with the Shield EZ.
I wish they would make a 3.5 inch without the small grip.
@@Asidebar No, the F series has the reduced grip size and trigger distance.
@@Asidebar You said the F series didn't have a small grip, which it does.
They have been hard to find. Would like to try one, but need 5” barrel. Would be cool if they sold the grip separately.
I am very interested in this pistol. I have medium sized hands so I sometimes struggle with larger frames. I am also very interested in the trigger. Owning both a VP-9 and a PPQ45, I can say that trigger was better on the PPQ out of the box. I hope the PDP is as good.
Better
I had the PDP compact 4”, great trigger and deadly accurate. I sold it and bought the PDP F. Just picked it up yesterday so I haven’t shot it yet. I held it in the store, the grip was noticeable better for my medium hands. The trigger is great, I’ve done about 2 hours of indoor dry fire using a laser. I am also a HK fanboy with a full line up in my collection. The PDP trigger hands down superior to my HK VP9 with a Lazy Wolf trigger up grade as well as my VP9sk.
@@blackbullitt849 Then you're really going to like the trigger on the all new PDP Pro.
Lol I wouldn't describe that gun as the She DP. DP stands for other things lol
“Ummm so are we still doing phrasing?”
the Walther PPQ/PDP are notorious for their lighter than advertised trigger break. the PDP F is heavier?
I have the full size PDP, and I love it....
$650...higher end of the Value market."
My poverty felt that.
Keith Kalfas videos will help you
Anybody who says the VP9 trigger is better than the PDP trigger is bullshitting you and has an agenda....dont listen. Also the fact that you need to rack slide all the way back ( apparently) to reset a dryfire isnt necessarily a bad thing....just makes you train with a full rack back
sav and Mac loved everything about it except for the trigger. They felt it was a tad bit to big for ccw. I respect their opinions. Remember EVERY 1ST GUN doesn't/ shouldn't be for ccw. That is the beef i have with many gun channels.
PDP compact is my EDC, the dry fire reset (after being broken in is not much at all - not sure if the F model will be the same after break in.)
Yeah my PPQ has a very short reset, both on the trigger and the slide recock.
All the pdp models I've seen seem to run the same price. I bought the full size for the range only but with that long barrell it was dead nuts on target right out of the box
Pretty sure Walther triggers get better as they break in…
I don’t think that happens with modern striker guns at all really.
How is it compared to a Glock 26 or G19 .?
I after listening to these people I don't trust their judgment when they compare other firearms to the pdpf. Just their knowledge of the triggers on the pdp and the vp9 tells you all you need to know.
I literally showed you on camera.
@@ASPextra my criticism is in your comparison of the vp9 trigger being superior to the walthers. You said that the Walther trigger was usable but not good compared to the vp9. In reviews of both no one has ever said that the vp9 trigger was better close maybe but not better. If you said that the canik or the cz p10 you might have an argument. That is the basis of my criticism.
The PDP-F trigger has more creep than the VP9. Just a fact of life. More creep, not as sure or consistent a break. The VP9 trigger is superior.
@@ASPextra personal bias I can tell you from trying the vp9 it's not. The Walther trigger is the only factory trigger on my striker fire guns I haven't changed. I improved the trigger on my gen5 glock 19 and the trigger on my m&p 2.0 and had Johnny glock build one for my glock 43. None of those are as good as the factory trigger from walther. Just my opinion.
Agree my vp9 trigger was trash
This is a lot of “cope-e-um”. I love HKs (P30, HK 45) but no one the VP9 hangs with the Walther
So you guys like the VP9? LOL
Well the pull of any gun has more to do with the length of your fingers, not the size of your hand. Plenty of people have average/larger hands with shorter or longer fingers. This gun helps people with shorter fingers, so it needs to be advertised as that. so we know what people it fits better.
Lastly anyone can reach various triggers by slighting adjusting their grip on the grip, favoring some movement to the left or right on the grip. I have fairely large hands but shorter fingers so a shorter pull works better but I can also use a longer pull by adjusting my grip.
Only partially true. Palm size is just as important as finger length.
@@ASPextra Sorry don't agree like most professionals don't
@@intheknow3431 I was under the impression that professionals designed the gun.
Oh, I guess. everyone has the same length of fingers huh duh
@@HotVoodooWitch There's all kinds of handguns some fit ya others don't, No handgun fits everyone
That title though 🤣🤣
What is it like in a guys hand with large backstrap on? Would this F be good for males with large backstrap?
If you don't have small hands, I would look elsewhere. If you want a PDP, get the regular one if you have regular man hands.
The VP9 has the same amount of creep as the PDP.
…but the PDP got a better reset.
Check out the new PDP Pro
uhhhh shoulda said PD-She.
Now the guns have genders?! 😂
Just remember some are binary !
He sounds kind of like a hater
😂 @ “She-DP”.
going to get my wife 1...
"She D P" ... 😲😮👀
Many of you reviewers have a trigger fetish. To a certain degree trigger operation has importance. But in real operation people don't think , slack / wall /creep/ fire. In your mind during operation you don't think about the trigger, you just do it.
Not true for longer range shooting.
2:22 yea but the guy in New Zealand is clenching his cheeks.
Think it's time to invest in an actual camera
"I have the gun.
You have the gun.
I have the gun."
Some body, if not both of you, fly airplanes.
I have my PPL, and started positive control of the firearm switches shortly after starting flight training. :) -John
It’s a shame it’s marketed towards women. As a man with smoll hands, I want this.
It’s okay for you to buy too! :)
It's like what S&W did with their LadySmith line. S&W had to make non-LS branded models so men wouldn't feel bad about carrying them.
I wouldn't give a damn if someone considers it a woman's gun as long as it worked for me the only gun I care to carry is walthers p99 it's a double action striker fired decocker it just has so many of the best of walther including the the trigger guard mag release I'll never understand why it didn't take off in this country to each his or her own.
Love my PDP, but why the HELL Walther doesn't ship the guns with optic plates LIKE EVERY OTHER MAJOR MANUFACTERER is just beyond me. REALLY tic-tac. I've been waiting for Walther to send my plate for over a month. Just got off the phone with them, them simply said they are back stocked and they'll send it out when they get more. No email notice that they received my request (I requested it twice) Nothing. VERY poor working on Walther's part. Just ordered a chpws plate for $80 because I have no real choice.
They don’t? That’s surprising. I guess maybe they think that people will buy whatever one they need. Still, I get your frustration.

kinda odd naming. because the woman that are promoting it. shoot full size guns.
What a mess.
LOL nice try lefty 🤣
Female Series PDP 👎🏻
I think it has a place.
Care to elaborate why you disapprove?
There's other tiny guns out there. This is embarrassing 🙄
The way they designed this length of pull is quite different.
The gun isn't tiny. They redesigned certain aspects of it after consulting with women, such as the distance between the backstrap and trigger, etc. Not sire why you're embarrassed, but ok. The first step is admitting it I guess.
@@sodoodle296 Ever since this pistol was announced, I realized that there are quite a lot of men who has fragile senses of their own masculinity. Apparently if the tool fits them and the job but happens to be marketed towards women, it means they are less of a man, or something. Some guys I talked reluctantly admitted that this pistol would fit their smaller hands yet rages that it's marketed and designed for women shooters. In addition, if we want to keep the 2A culture ongoing, let's true to include the other 50% of the population with real pistols designed for them instead of pink pistols.
