    Selling one jet monthly would be great.😊 In 2023, Textron Aviation (Cessna) sold 168 new private jets, which was a decrease from 2022's 178 sales. However, Textron Aviation's total revenue for 2023 was $5.37 billion, up from $5.07 billion in 2022.

    I was on a PIA B707 in 1974 I was
    7 yrs old going back to London
    With my mother .
    The pilot before landing was literally
    Diving aircraft down, speeds kept on
    Changing literally diving nose
    Down as you just talked about stalls
    In the video 😮

    So why get a type rating if not purchasing a Mustang? Is Amir going to lease one? Maybe I missed something.

    • @FlyingwithRich
      @FlyingwithRich  2 месяца назад +1

      I think he intends to lease/consider purchasing. He also wants sees a lot of benefit in the training to progress as a pilot. Amir?

  • @SkylaneGuy
    @SkylaneGuy 2 месяца назад

    Can you really practice abnormals in the jet? Like a shutdown and restart? Is there a zero thrust setting to do SE approaches like a piston twin? Seems dicey.

    • @FlyingwithRich
      @FlyingwithRich  2 месяца назад

      Much easier and safer in a jet. We do single engine approaches and V1 cuts article power, but have to do an engine shut down and restart. Other possible abnormals - no flap landing, avionics failures

    • @kodiakmd
      @kodiakmd 2 месяца назад

      We have already done a shutdown and restart. It’s actually a lot easier than when I had to do it on my ME training and check ride. Thanks for watching!

    Rich, how much is it for the Mustang 510S type rating

    • @FlyingwithRich
      @FlyingwithRich  2 месяца назад +1

      Pushing $30K at FlightSafety. If you do it in the airplane, and depending on skill level/proficiency - $20K in the airplane.

      What’s ‘air work’ now?

    • @flynomo3148
      @flynomo3148 2 месяца назад

      @@FlyingwithRich nose hi/low recovery’s. Then a stall recovery at 30k+ feet which takes 6-9k feet to recover. But… neither are on the type. Type is more of a LOFT. But just prior to the LOFT are validations that prove your ability to do all the stuff that used to be on the type.

    • @FlyingwithRich
      @FlyingwithRich  2 месяца назад +1

      @@flynomo3148 interesting - honestly I think the traditional air work, hand flown approaches are valuable with all the automation now.

    I've watched this doc in several of your vids now Rich -- he clearly has a great business and a ton of money for all sorts of expensive toys, and to pay for your services as a CFI and broker and mentor. But there's not one moment of one video I've seen where he looks even the tiniest bit comfortable piloting an airplane. He seems to have no sense of energy management or stick and rudder instincts or confidence in any move he makes in the airplane -- Some guys are not born to be pilots. I think this doctor is one who should really take up something safer like fly fishing. I know you've probably got a lot of influence over the DPEs there in California, but this guy shouldn't be type rated in a 152, never mind a citation. I mean, really Rich --- help him out for real -- tell him the truth.

    • @FlyingwithRich
      @FlyingwithRich  2 месяца назад +2

      Interesting opinion/observation which I disagree with. I fly with a lot of different pilots so I feel I’m in a good position to have some basis for my assessment of all the pilots I fly with including Amir. Amir is doing very well, and smart as he progresses as a pilot. Thanks for watching.

      I would rather a student show up not acting as if he knew everything than one that knows it all because of his profession. We have checks and balances that will hopefully not advance him if he not deserving.

    • @FlyingNDriving
      @FlyingNDriving 2 месяца назад +4

      Think of the commission tho from selling him a jet!?

    • @kodiakmd
      @kodiakmd 2 месяца назад

      I’m going to diagnose you with Down syndrome or some form of mental retardation. This video is taken in my first hour of flying a mustang jet. Of course I was uncomfortable. I’d like to see you do better. And while you’re speaking of energy management… I took my commercial check ride in my Kodiak and had to do a power off 180. Something you likely couldn’t do on flight sim based on your mental capacity. I’m surprised you were able to operate a keyboard to type such nonsense. Finally, Rich has never sold me an airplane nor been a broker for me. He’s been a close friend and a Mentor pilot and I’m very lucky and blessed to have that.

    • @firepilot109
      @firepilot109 2 месяца назад +3

      Glad he's not a cocky arrogant pilot like some I've had to fly with. The nervous ones that take flight training series are they one's that will probably make the smart decisions along the way. I hope this post was joke or something cause I thought he did great for not hardly anytime in a Jet. Good job Rich.
