It's good having you back!
Thanks!
Good to see you back as others have said, and great video :) These are the type of little maintenance jobs I plan to do this winter, never occured to me to check this so on the list it goes ;)
Another great fjr upgrade!
More to come!
Thanks a bunch!
You bet!
Welcome back! Thanks for posting this video. I have a 2005 FJR1300 that has experienced a latch failure of this little hatch. I've heard of others having a latch failure, do you have any insight? Thanks, -Andy
I don’t have much experience with the gen 1, and have not seen the failure. But I do recall many years ago at least one discussion about it on one of the fjr forums.
I use the same foam on my patio door to keep the frost out in the winter time , but I’m sure you don’t have that problem 😂🌞
This is true lol
Great tip. The storage box doesn’t have the ability to route a cable nicely from the port outside the box. Any suggestions how to rig up a USB C cable without having force the lid to close?
Go through the drain hole in the bottom. Just pull the rubber plug. That being said I do go out the lid no problem. There’s more than enough give to let it close.
