Drivers in Europe don't tend to be as much of the entitled maniacs on the roads that North Americans generally are when it comes to cyclists, runners, skaters etc. I definitely miss living there for that reason.

I use to speed skate and did Well in my middle school / high school years. This is exactly what we focused on 40 hours over a 2 day weekend. This is absolutely the defintion of efficiency over power. This gave me the urge again... Beautiful....
Look at it from the other side of the coin as well, people who came to watch this video are the ones who love to see or learn skating, and while 100% of them would definitely be amazed by the actual skating skills of Joey, they couldn’t resist commenting on the surface’s condition as that’s what they are missing as it’s beyond one’s control

Yea :) Some use them in racing too. As there is a lot more movement on skates than on a bike, the profile of the aerodynamic drag is quite different though :)
There could be hundreds of Colombian world champions but no one like Joey Mantia, the best ever, he used to beat everyone in short and long distance races, all around complete skater, no one comes close to him, when he was skating in the world championships Colombians were nothing compare to him maybe a bit Pedro causil and Muñoz but they were only for short distance races not all around complete like him, even his technique still the best of all time

The skate technique is just so consistent and on-point. Amazing! I love flow skating, but speed skating can be amazing if done good.
