I've been listening to metal for 18 years. Everyone who gets to know me thinks that my husband is a "Viking" type, huge, bearded guy who listens to metal like I do. They're quite suprised when they find out that my husband is a "normal" looking (cause wtf is "normal", it's a term others used) guy who listens to 90's rap and some metal too, but mostly rap. And he's a male version of me despite differences. We have a child together and we always joke about what his taste in music is going to be when he grows up ;) So far he loves mommy's black metal 🤘
A few of my best friends love the melodic black metal bands Ive shown them. (Alghazanth, Dissection, Sacramentum, Unanimated, etc) but a good majority of them don't like black metal at all. Aside from maybe Emperor or Gorgoroth, since most metalheads in general seem to love them.
I'll share songs/bands I think someone will like. Yes I love alt ppl. Goth. Grunge. Metal. Punk. But some country people are hot too. I've never really based my love interest on that. Sure I'd like a more matching asthetic with someone but I also understand that not everyone is going to be in that area.
I met my boyfriend at school when he complimented my Cannibal Corpse shirt. We were best friends at first and tbh, two years later, metal isn't really that big in our conversations. It only makes it easier to figure out what to listen to in the car. Haha
My boyfriend is a metalhead and I grew up in a very very Christian home where music such as metal was not around (nor would it have been allowed). So when I left Christianity 2 years ago and started a relationship with my boyfriend, that's how I was first introduced to metal music and I love it! He had no expectations for me to ever get into his music, but it's a pleasant surprise to both of us that I have been! I feel like I should have grown up loving metal but was stifled by my parent's religion. Now I am simply thankful that I have the opportunity to start loving it now!
Meh, I'm a metalgirl and i sure do find the male metal stereotype pretty attractive lmfao. You know the long hair and all that. And it's nice with people who have a similar taste in music. But it's just an attraction. I'm not interested in getting into a relationship no matter who the person is. My true love is for chicken nuggets and memes.
THis is me with Pizza. I think the metal look on girls is very attractive and is cool on dudes but I like lots of looks on people. Chicken pizza does sounds good though.
I've had relationships with girls who didn't like metal but they all ended with me breaking up with them because Everytime they told me that I should change into a "normal" person. Well that's not going to happen any time soon.
We met at an anime convention, both in cosplay, and had no idea either of us listened to metal. With the cosplay I was doing, there's no way you could tell I was a metal head because of the character I was dressed as and same goes for him. But it all started with our love for going to conventions and cosplaying. Then we both found out we were metal heads and it was just icing on the cake. It's great having someone to go to metal shows with and we're constantly showing each other new bands. Although we have a lot in common such as music, cosplaying, genre of movies/tv shows, anime and gaming, we definitely have our differences and are okay with that. We have a quirky relationship, but we just had our 1 year of first time hanging out together outside of the convention we met at.
I feel like the music can sometimes become your whole identity and maybe that's the reason some metalheads have ridiculous checklists and shit. They don't actually want a partner but they like the idea of a partner who fits the act they've built for themselves.
me and my boyfriend met when I played pantera onstage at a talent show. we both have a love for metal and that was the basis of our relationship, our personalities match so well...we're the perfect couple!!!!
I used to be like that. I wanted a metal chick. I was stubborn for a while and found a couple encounters but no love from those encounters. I found that the metal chicks I did have a chance with were quite broken and actually almost incapable of real love or comitment. Maybe I was just unlucky but soon I realized that the ratio of men to women in heavy metal culture was ridiculously out of balance so I had to adjust my standards and came to the conclusion that looking for the mirror image of myself was actually quite selfish of me. Now I know that you can love and be loved for who we are and our qualities and traits without having to have them in common. I'm 36 years old now and when I was in high school most of the girls were, what we called, twinkies. You know, the ones in the short skirts and fuzzy little boots. Back then those girls wouldn't have anything to do with me for fear of tarnishing their reputation and of course I cursed that fact because damn they were so hot. So fucking gorgeous. So many times I couldn't get up from my seat because of the hardon I'd get staring at these little hottie princesses. Well through adulthood I tried online dating more than once and that lead to getting laid but never love. I came to the conclusion that online dating attracted the wrong kind of people if it's actually love that you're looking for. It's mostly for broken people who only have one thing to offer. I decided to forget about women and accept a life of being a lone wolf since so many women today really are broken. Who needs a man when she can marry the state right? Well as soon as I adopted this new way of embracing a single life and my intent to make the most of it guess what happened! I took my dog for a walk in the park and met a beautiful, blue eyed, blonde. It's been 2 weeks and we just keep getting closer and closer. Tons of chemistry and attraction. She's 6 years younger than me. I like thrash and death metal and you know what she likes? The top 40. And she is one of those girls feom high school in the super tight clothes and fuzzy little boots that I never thought I'd ever get to even touch. Yep, she's a twinkie and I'm a death metal guitarist and we both are falling in love despite our differences. We embrace our differences.
I’ve always been in relationships with fellow metal heads, so much of my time is spent either at gigs or with my bands so it’s always been quite important to me to be share the same interests music wise. I’ve also tend to found that a lot of people that listen to the same music as me, especially black metal, tend to share the same values in other areas of life too...Ive never really gone wrong with that! It’s such a great community to be part of ☺️
So a few different things: 1. Welcome back! I definitely missed you and your videos popping up in my inbox. 2. My girlfriend and I have VERY distinctly different tastes in music. Most of what she listens to is pop, Broadway, country, rap, etc. BUT she does like at least some metal. Most of the time though we do like you mentioned and poke fun at each other's tastes in a very lighthearted non-malicious way. 3. Funny you should mention Saxon. The lady and I are actually planning on seeing them this April.
I'm a metalhead girl and I've always had metalhead boyfriends, except the one I'm dating right now and he's the only one I've been in love with so far, so I totally agree with you man! Amazing video🤘
shruti25111997 I think it's different for girls than it is for guys. When you're a straight or bi girl with a niche interest, especially if it's a typically masculine one, I think finding boyfriends with the same tastes as you is easier than it is for guys to find girlfriends like that. This is a thought I had throughout this whole video. I had a conversation with someone about this awhile ago involving nerdy people, but I think it can apply to metal too honestly: basically, it's easier for nerdy girls to find a nerdy boyfriend than it is for the reverse and that those "ideal dream girls" do exist, but they tend to not be single. While I agree with him that narrowing your options and missing out on people can mess you up no matter your gender or orientation, I think there is a truth in the fact that it's easier for girls of a niche subculture to find a niche subculture guy than it is the other way around. Your comment "I'm a metal girl who always had metal boyfriends" doesn't surprise me, while his comments in the video also don't surprise me. This being said, I don't think the reason for this is because of a lack of women with these niche interests, as many guys tend to assume. I think it has more to do with the fact that the "dream girls" don't stay single for long and also tend to stay in their relationships for long periods of time. There are exceptions obviously, this is just the trend I've noticed.
F.....SLLLLAYYY...nevermind.. Check out my jamz, I'm soooo fuggin' desperate, it's SIck really, to reach to 46 subs or RUclips owned govt. goons will come blasting out Napalm and potato chips till i make another one!
I didn't even know what this was about till a minute and a half then I bailed. just temporarily reactivated really bad feelings that ive had for a very long time. nothing to do with you at all dude, I am really glad you`re back.
My boyfriend and I are both into metal, very passionate about it on top of that. One thing I do like is that we have similar taste, but different, so we're always showing each other new bands and music. It's pretty cool.
You're back! Hope you are doing well in spite of the personal issues! I agree with this video! I have no issues with dating somebody who doesn't listen to metal because I have many other interests besides metal! As long as we share interests, a sense of humor, and a connection, it doesn't matter that the person doesn't listen to metal. Also, you should try to attend 70000 Tons of Metal one year! It's a metal festival on a cruise. We'd love to have you!
Welcome back ! I have other qualities that I'm looking for in a guy: Either a smoker ,or non smoker.. no alcohol ( I have a valid reason for this) , non abusive, loving, caring, the quiet type( shy) etc... I'm not picky ,or have standards that are too high..shit can happen in life that gets in the way of everything..Also , I look for a guy who has a great personality & has a natural talent in the occult..( a witch ..NO SHITTY CRACKS WILL BE WELCOMED!)
Welcome back! I totaly agree with you! I once was in a relationship with a metalhead girl but she became mad for no reasons, hit me, blamed me for some made up shit, i couldn’t stand it so we broke up. I want someone that is kind and understanding. Great album btw🤘🤘
Met my boyfriend about 7 years ago and introduced him to metal, and he hasn't looked back. One of our favorite things to do is go to shows together and we've even kicked around the idea of a GWAR themed wedding xD I used to have that idea of the "perfect person" when I was much younger, and I'm glad that I got rid of that. It's allowed me to meet some amazing people, and personally, I don't think any music genre or whatever should get in the way of that. Great video, happy to see you back!
New sub and when you said Saxon. First concert I ever went to 1985 my ears rang for 2 days. Me and my wife have a great relationship. We know how the world works and we like different things and we both aren't selfish.
Glad to see you happy and well, welcome back! Personally, I'm in a bit of similar state. As much as I want my metal dude who will go to gigs with me, in my life other metal heads aren't the easiest to come by, so I need to stop being so close-minded about it. I wouldn't not be someone's friend for not liking metal, so it's got to be nicer sharing different tastes and opinions with a guy than waiting around for the one specific type to come along!
Im very fortunate to have a husband who loves metal as much as i do!! Hes the one who got me into most of my most favourite bands, and without him i dont know where i would be!! Glad to have ya back Werewolf!! Cant wait to see more!! :)
You're back! Yay! Good you took some time to get back on your feet, glad you are doing ok. I’m in a relationship with a non-metalhead myself, for 7 years and still going strong. It’s about love and accepting the other for what they are, not looks or a specific taste in music. Awesome video!
I agree. However, I think that tolerance and a certain interest in what's important for you are necessary. I, too, made a negative experience with someone who doesn't like metal, and out of "respect" I ended up hardly ever listening to my music for almost a year. When we separated I finally realised what had happened. This led me to the question whether I really have to tell men that I like metal the way others at one point will say that they are divorced and already have two children? I really don't feel like handling my love for metal as a problem - it's the opposite! So, yes, similar taste in music is not a huge point, but I find that it surely can make life easier when you listen to it a lot.
The problem with a couple of my exes was that we only had our music taste in common. It really can be overrated. I won some kind of lottery with my fiance, though. He loves metal *and* shares my faith. Christian metalheads are rather difficult to come by... He's basically the male version of me and it's working out so far. Also the moustache is working really well for ya dude.
I totally agree with this. I've only had a Metal girlfriend once and it was a miserable relationship. Now though, I am happy with who I'm with and she doesn't like Metal as much as Pop. Though I can't stand most of her music, it's never held us back and we totally "get" each other. Great video dude.
Glad you’re back!! Badass beard, bro! My man and I, just enjoy good music. I love the heavier stuff. We introduce each other to new music in different genres. It was a joy to introduce him to Megadeth. Loving music is a must for me, but it’s ok if he doesn’t like everything I like. Some metal is not for everyone and that’s ok.
I glad you said the whole thing about the mirror. I told that to someone once and they disagreed with me lol. She said "well it's because I'll know what to expect" to which I responded "well that's fucking boring"
Glad you're doing well 🤘🤘 I agree with what you're saying. Sometimes people do have very high standards, and I understand that everyone has a "preference" but there's also nothing wrong with giving someone a chance, especially if there's a connection
this is a good conversation lots of good points a relationship should have a broader range for it to work this clip has given me a good self evaluation
My BF have alot in common but bonded over metal. Our first date and his place we watched Lamb of God's walk with me in hell, and LOG was our first concert together! That being said tho, as time goes on and our love for new bands and subgenres develop, we have our differences. Hes more into the new school style of metal, and I'm more of an old school thrash kinda gal. We have alot of different hobbies and interest but metal has always been and will always be a bonding force for us. It's been almost 6 years since we watched that LOG DVD, alot has changed but we just got tickets to see them this summer with Slayer, so it's safe to say we're still doing good.
both me and my girlfriend "met" at a new years party of a mutual friend of ours. we had seen each other in passing before hand. but before we started dating music literally didn't come up at all. but when we started dating we had kinda similar music tastes but also some polar opposites. like we both liked metal core and stuff along those lines but her taste went more on the light side of music like one of her favorite artists at the time was Garth Brooks. but mine went the other way. i loved all genres of metal even like the blackest black you could get but now we have a yearly tradition of going to rock on the range here in ohio. its a 3 day metal fest with everything from hard rock to black metal, metal core to babymetal and we couldn't be happier together stay metal and spread the love you brutes \m/
Welcome back!! Sorry I am late watching the video. I think musical diversity is important in a relationship it keeps things interesting. It would be boring if we were all the same.
im glad to know youre back safe and sound doing what you love to do. great video dude and u made a very intresting point about finding youre opossite significant other rather than someone that shares the same intrests as you. some people think that if you share the same intrests then the relatiknship will be amazing and thats not completely true . good point man keep it up 🤘🏽
I agree, 100%. Even still, it's important to note that just because you meet them when they had next to no interest in your style of music doesn't mean they can't eventually grow to appreciate it through exposure (provided they are open minded). There are plenty of gateway bands and subgenres that may agree with a non-metalhead S.O. that you can go to shows with. As someone who loves Power Metal and Folk Metal in particular, I was able to find common ground on certain bands based on my gf's and my nerdyness. I got her to really like bands like Arkona, Korpiklaani, Turisas, Sabaton, Battle Beast, and Helion Prime (among others) by exposure and having her come with certain shows with me. She particularly loves the atmosphere of folk metal shows. I guess what I am saying is, find other common interests of yours, find out what does and doesn't work for them and you may eventually find common ground enough with them to at least find a viable car playlist for long drives with them. lol
I just want a girlfriend haha 😂. Nice to have you back, man, I pray you get through this difficult time in your life. Finally, Saxon is an awesome recommendation. One of my faves. I'm going to bump some rn.
I just ended a relationship with someone I was exactly like. We overall liked the same music, video games, dressed the same and had the same views on things. It's hard to explain but dating someone just like you does get boring after awhile. It sounds awful but that's what typically happens. Great video man!
Welcome back staying fn brutal as always I agree with your opinion it a bonus when you meet someone who has similar taste in music as you it should not be a the main criteria you should base love interest in
My fiancé and I met through Tumblr about 6 years ago. He's from the Bay Area in Northern California and I'm from a small farming town in the southwest. My main music genres are goth and metal and his are punk and hardcore. I honestly never imagined being with a guy who was into hardcore, I always wanted a guy who was either metalhead or goth. His personality and humor won me over almost instantly though and we clicked through our mutual love for The Misfits and Danzig. Many years later here we are with a toddler and another on the way. We like to introduce each other to bands of our genres and attend gigs he and his band play at. I'm glad I kept an open mind about him, we go together like chocolate chip cookies and whipped cream. Haha :D
My boyfriend and I met through tinder and we clicked right away. We both loved niche music (he's into classic punk and I'm into classic rock/metal and some local bands) and game grumps which made us so comfortable with each other. It's fun listening to him talk about stuff that I never my future s/o would talk about and just be happy and watch them just glee around. I introduce him to my favorite stuff and there are times he does like it or tells me the honest truth. I love him to death because of that. It's fun to play him cringey pop music I heard from work or play him a decent song from a CD I got from a small show. He does his agitated look and it makes me laugh so hard. Just recently I played him pantera's this love, cemetery gates, and im broken which made me overjoyed to see him just look "broken" And confused.
I totally agree with your points on this video and I am very glad to see a new video from you. I may not comment on everything you post, but I have watched all of your videos and I look forward to new ones. I would be lying if I said I wasn't impatient with your newest upload, but I stayed as patient as possible. By the way, have you gotten anymore boxes from the Metalhead box during your time of not being able to post videos? If so, I would love to see videos on that and if possible, I would also love to see a new fan mail video if you have gotten anymore. It's great to see you back and posting videos!
I just would like to have a relationship with someone who likes metal and has long hair and obviusly someone who loves me and is loyal....I love men with long hair 😍😍.....great video dude 😃👍😄
I did have a girlfriend who had nothing really in common with me. It only lasted about 5 to 6 months and haven’t had a girlfriend since. I’m not looking for a relationship at the moment though simply because it’s not something I care about. But in future the only standard I’d set is that i would want someone who likes Heavy Metal. Not necessarily the exact same bands but someone who likes some Folk Metal, Death and Thrash. That’s all really. Also glad to have you back, The wait was worth it.
I'm very lucky that my girlfriend is a metalhead too. I've taken her to a couple shows and she absolutely loves the vibe and even moshed with me. We've seen Anthrax, Killswitch Engage, Eyehategod, Corrosion of Conformity and Black Label Society together and she's had a blast each time.
I dated a girl for 3 years who didn’t like metal, but she liked other music that i liked which was cool. But my current girlfriend likes metal and all the same shit I do. I’m very lucky, but yeah you’re right it goes way deeper than that. I think that the bonding off of the passion for your music taste is like icing on the cake
I agree, you have to be open minded, your partner might recommend you other metal bands/ or genres that you might also enjoy. You can talk about different points on view, movies, politics, anything, you will learn new stuff!
I literally got into a relationship a few months ago. She does listen to metal, she listens to all the subgenres. But she also listens to metalcore & deathcore sometimes. We argue sometimes over the music, but we don't make it a big deal. Our relationship is perfect. Most of my exes didn't like metal either. My first girlfriend was into country music, my second girlfriend was into country music, my third girlfriend only liked metalcore, my fourth girlfriend was into hip hop, and now I'm dating s girl who MOSTLY listens to metal. I live In Alabama, so no one ever really has music taste. Luckily, I found a girlfriend who actually has an amazing personality & music taste
my biggest metal love is copper, good material resistant to corrosion and highly conductive
If you loved gold, it is guaranteed that your woman will love metal too.
That's pretty fucking brutal man.
also doesn't expand as much as other metals when heated ;)
But not good for construction
Resistant to corrosion but not mold, my lovely lady liberty can attest to that

I'm a lonely Metalhead also.

Reprisal Within Dude you give me hope. 👏👏👏👏👏👏round of applause for your love story
Aww. That's great
Glad you're back. If a girl i date loves the same music i do that just an added bonus. Mabye she could introduce me to some new bands.
The Plague Doctor same here !!!
I fell in love with someone who likes Black Veil Brides enough said
Fatima believe me she's worth it and she's not emo either she just likes them managed to get her into some of the classics though
As long as shes open minded that's pretty cool dude. Obviously she has an appreciation for music in general.
Yeah she does which is why I'm hoping to get her into some of the classics like maiden or sabbath
Otto von Steinberg am i the only one that likes metal (the most) and also enjoys emo stuff? (Mostly the somewhat more agressive stuff)
Koffie Verslaafde I'd say you're part of a very small minority

shruti25111997 Your name seems Indian. Indian Metalhead girls do exist? That's great.
shruti25111997 I think it's different for girls than it is for guys. There are exceptions obviously, this is just the trend I've noticed.
do you ever notice other metal girls don't want to talk to you? ._. (I keep getting that)
F.....SLLLLAYYY...nevermind.. Check out my jamz, I'm soooo fuggin' desperate, it's SIck really, to reach to 46 subs or RUclips owned govt. goons will come blasting out Napalm and potato chips till i make another one!
Felicia Pulo Metal shows are pretty much sausage fests
I met my husband at a concert, he loves classic 70s and I love the death metal 80s stuff. I'd say our love is perfect.
Your beard is looking a little like Varg, but I dig it 😂 Glad to see you making videos again! 🤘
Tylar Merritt I though the same 😂
Luckily there is no euronymous to stab
A beard that looks like Varg? Wow, what a brilliant beard
nah ! the werewolf is goin for the johann hegg look
No it's kinda like Fenriz's
Im a metalhead since 14, i fell in love with a guy that listen to hiphop and rap
Glad to see you back! Here's to more rad videos sooner than later!
Awesome beard, metal as hell \m/
I have a metal lover. We’ve been together for 2 months, it will be our 3 month anniversary on March 8. We both love metal, have a passion for metal.
It's so good to see you back!
Im very fortunate to have a husband who loves metal as much as i do!! Hes the one who got me into most of my most favourite bands, and without him i dont know where i would be!! Glad to have ya back Werewolf!! Cant wait to see more!! :)
Glad you're back!
Glad you're back, hope your personal stuff got sorted out.
Her name is Alexis and she likes most of the stuff i do but we never force anything onto each other and im glad your back!!!
So glad to see you back!!
That Saxon album came in the mail a couple of days ago. Pretty good.
Fortunately you made a new video!! We all have missed you so much.
And I believe love doesn't exist btw.... At least from my experience
It’s great that you’re making videos again, it’s been too long
You're back! Yay! Good you took some time to get back on your feet, glad you are doing ok.
I’m in a relationship with a non-metalhead myself, for 7 years and still going strong. It’s about love and accepting the other for what they are, not looks or a specific taste in music. Awesome video!
Nice mustache man, glad you're back on youtube
Glad your back sorry you where go through some personal issues I hope they worked out
The problem with a couple of my exes was that we only had our music taste in common. It really can be overrated.
I won some kind of lottery with my fiance, though. He loves metal *and* shares my faith. Christian metalheads are rather difficult to come by... He's basically the male version of me and it's working out so far.
Also the moustache is working really well for ya dude.
That beard is fucking brutal. It's good to have you back! We've missed you \m/
I totally agree with this. I've only had a Metal girlfriend once and it was a miserable relationship. Now though, I am happy with who I'm with and she doesn't like Metal as much as Pop. Though I can't stand most of her music, it's never held us back and we totally "get" each other. Great video dude.
Luvin that stash gorgeous, completely complements your metal go-tee.
Glad you're doing well 🤘🤘
I agree with what you're saying. Sometimes people do have very high standards, and I understand that everyone has a "preference" but there's also nothing wrong with giving someone a chance, especially if there's a connection
this is a good conversation lots of good points a relationship should have a broader range for it to work this clip has given me a good self evaluation
It's nice to see you again
Missed you.
This video has helped me a lot on relationships thank you for making this video!!!!you gave me a new prospective on dating
Waking up to u having a new vid was the best news :) im so glad ur ok and ur back!!!
both me and my girlfriend "met" at a new years party of a mutual friend of ours. we had seen each other in passing before hand. but before we started dating music literally didn't come up at all. but when we started dating we had kinda similar music tastes but also some polar opposites. like we both liked metal core and stuff along those lines but her taste went more on the light side of music like one of her favorite artists at the time was Garth Brooks. but mine went the other way. i loved all genres of metal even like the blackest black you could get but now we have a yearly tradition of going to rock on the range here in ohio. its a 3 day metal fest with everything from hard rock to black metal, metal core to babymetal and we couldn't be happier together stay metal and spread the love you brutes \m/
I'm so glad you're back making videos, I seriously missed them dude. I hope everything goes well for you here on out! \m/
Welcome back!! Sorry I am late watching the video. I think musical diversity is important in a relationship it keeps things interesting. It would be boring if we were all the same.
im glad to know youre back safe and sound doing what you love to do. great video dude and u made a very intresting point about finding youre opossite significant other rather than someone that shares the same intrests as you. some people think that if you share the same intrests then the relatiknship will be amazing and thats not completely true . good point man keep it up 🤘🏽
Great to see that you're back and in good shape😁. I'm happy for ya
Your background looks great.
Welcome back dude!
Nice welcome back dude
I completely agree with you on that. Also I missed your videos man, and great recommendation, I love Saxon!
Haha :D
Its great to see you uploading again! Great video 🤘🏻🖤
Love your Beeard!!
Omg your back and good to hear that your OK and doing well hope you settle in your new home soon keep up with the uploading
Glad to see you back man!!
The camera quality! 👍👍👍
I love listening to metal and my wife loves to listen to country and pop music.
He is back , the goatie is bigger and the video is great
I met my dude at a Maiden concert last June. Still going strong.
Tbh I think it’s fun sharing interests of yours with a person with different interest
Also glad to have you back, The wait was worth it.
welcome back buddy we missed you. ps nice beard.
MAN, it’s been too long! Welcome back! It’s good to see you!! ✊✊✊🤟🤟🤟
I agree, you have to be open minded, your partner might recommend you other metal bands/ or genres that you might also enjoy. You can talk about different points on view, movies, politics, anything, you will learn new stuff!
I missed u man !!!! Nice to get u back
Dude! I was the same way in high school! I wanted a metal girl, but I lived in a small Wisconsin country town with pop tarts and country cowboys.
Yeah that Saxon album rocks, love that band
Dude, your videos are so cool! They always make my day!
this is one of the few people that have correct opinions
