Oh Boy Baby! Congratulations! We had my 27year old son, his girlfriend and their cat move in back in April, then we got a new puppy. I haven't been able to practice more than 2 hours a week since May 2020. I'm in!
"Yeeeees!" Tomlin, you "Superstar".... Started (a while ago).... Life took over,, gave up (and looked guiltily at my Harmonica, every day)... Needed a "Boot in the right direction"... Lo and behold Tomlinsharmonica fixed it... Cheers
Tomlin, Congratulations! I hope you are enjoying that little one. Sorry to be so late to the game, I've stepped away from the harp for a bit. What great news.
Hi! I am a profi Flute player, playing harmonica for fun. Just wanted to point that I really learned to practice when I had my first Child. You use the time so much better with that limited time...
Great Tomlin!! I am definitely joining you!! Congratulations on your baby and house! Wow! I would love to see your baby sometime!! :-) Blessings to your family and thank you for this opportunity, I appreciate it! Very Creative Tomlin!!
Great idea. I started singing practice eight months ago and have managed to keep up 30 minutes singing exercises every single day since and I've just realised that this is probably because (accidentally) it ties in with a particular period of the day. Definitely going to give this a go on harmonica.
Hey Tomlin, congrats on the baby. The first 6 months is the easy bit! I’ve got 3 kids eldest 27, 25 and 21 and still having sleepless nights. Good luck. Cheers, also good result against England
Congratulations on the new member of your family! I am wondering what is the beatbox-like thing you do in the intro. It is so cool. Are there videos about this technique?
Tomlin this is perfect timing I’m definitely in. About to sign up at your school and this will help me form good practice habits. Congrats on your little one. God Bless you all!
Earlier today I was thinking about practicing certain riffs. I can play songs quite easily now moving from hole to hole fluently. I can play cords. I still have trouble getting the right sounds, but I keep moving from one thing to another and need to practice a certain riff. I also have trouble lip pursing single notes, cords are fine and tongue blocking is really good. So thanks for the advice and congrats on the birth of a boy.
Hi Tomlin! Congratulations on the new addition to the family! Now that you're not sleeping you should have lots of practice time :)! Thanks so much for this challenge! It was just the gentle kick in the butt I needed!
Great piece of advice and great exercise. You can count me in! And of course CONGRATULATIONS! for the baby, it's a big change but it's well worth the effort
Bro! A year ago you looked like a kid, now you look like you've been through the wringer and come out old! Congratulations. Enjoy that 6 month breathing space. When they start crawling and walking it's back to full time, hands on, eye's open business. I'm just starting out and would love to just try that easy riff. Can I still access it anywhere?
Congratulations I’m up to 6 kids and 12 grandies that take practice! I like the idea of this challenge,I can’t believe it’s 112months since the last one. Stay safe ...
Congratulations Tomlin. As I look around at various RUclips and other web-based harp instruction, I find that yours is consistently among the most practical and realistic. Having a couple of my own children who are now teens and older, I can tell you the common sense practicality you offer to your viewers and harp students will also help you maintain a good relationship with your son once he's old enough to do some thinking for himself.
Yay... We're on day 24! I've tied my practice to brushing my teeth habit. That way I can do it morning or night. Usually it's late night.Tonight it's at :05pm approx Pacific Standard Time. Thank you for the challenge Tomlin 😊.
Congratulations for the baby! This 28-Day 5 Minute Practice Challange is really a great idea. I hope it will help me practicing regularly again. Thank you.
Congrats on the kid. This sounds like a good idea to get back on track. I'm trying to come up with a solo to help me practice a set of techniques but still sound musical. Last time I tried a solo it was miserable. So I'll join in. I was working on the hard riff already.
Firstly, congratulations Tomlin and --- (wife name on the birth of your baby! Secondly, thank you for this 28 Day Challenge and it's announcement. I need a kick in the butt to discipline myself to improve and create new playing habits! This will be good for us all. Super idea!
Congrats on the little Leckie!! I do not recall seeing you play a regular marine band harp before. I'm going to try the more advanced rift because it sounds best. Since I'm slow it may take all 28 days to get it.
So I stumbled on this today and really like the idea of the 28 day challenge, and since February is almost here, I might join in. I also looked up your on-line classes, and I might sign up! I'm a beginner-level player and would learn best by some structured lessons. So here's my question....should I sign up for your classes now, or should I work on the 28 day challenge you issued? I'm ready to go with one or the other. I look forward to hearing from you!!
Congratulations you might have few more weeks with little chance to have a good sleep ! Even more difficult for a regular practice. But not to worry your background will help;..
Congrats on your baby boy! This challenge seems right up my street mate, I recently subscribed you channel, and I find it absolutely outstanding. Thanks for all your hard work and for the content it really makes me do some progress day by day, step by step, cheers!
All right, here we are day 5,still had to check the lesson for the solo part, but once did, finally trying the metronome. was ok until the solo part, get it sometimes and then other missed, did at 60 bmp.
Congrats for the new born. May I ask you what song start immediately after the initial jingle: it can hear in background very soft while you're speaking ... thx
Well here we are,day 3,first day went sputtering well, except i tried the metronome, and i couldn't keep it together,2nd day didn't use the metronome, but kept time with my foot,(am a drummer you know),third day now, getting flow better, still just tapping foot.feeling more comfortable with the flow so to speak.hahahaha

Congrats! Being a father is the greatest thing there is.
I love this, especially since the harmonica is such a chill instrument. Like a musical meditation routine...

Long time dear sir!
Thanks Tomlin, 5 minutes first, I like it, a marathon not a sprint. (cliche spotted) thanks very much.
I'm doing the warble.
This guy has fully read "Atomic habits".
Congrats 👍🏻
Great initiative!
I'm in!
I practice nearly every workday, but having a strategy and new riff will definitely help me improve. I feel I've plateaued recently.
Will you create a playlist for these lessons?
Thanx a lot!!

Sending healing thoughts your way.
