If you're going to festivals every week, you are basically in the same category as professional musicians, and you will eventually knacker your hearing and get tinnitus. Trust me, you don't want that. We - the audience, love all you guys, and we don't want to see you end up wrecked from the lifestyle!

A bad system can wreck your ears permanently in one night, but that's rare; it tends to be the compounding nature of exposure to loud sounds over time that causes deafness and tinnitus. Myself and my mrs started using the Loops earbuds a few years ago to go to festivals, and they are pretty decent; it still sounds decent. We are older, though/40s, I get when you are young, you think you're invincible! At our age, we have to look after what's left of our ears!

However, went to see Budos band at Camden jazz cafe and it was LOUD and my ears were fucked. I think what you suggest is a good idea. Mind you I’m a drummer and 20 years of ride cymbal chimes in my right ear can’t have put me in good stead

I got the shivers when you climbed through that tunnel! I was at beatherder nearly 10 years ago and I crawled through the exact same ones when i had, let’s say, too much of something. I thought I was army crawling through the trenches for what felt like years. I finally got to the phone box and then suddenly found it descended down into the depths of the underworld, where I shook hands with a well-known red man with horns and an eerie smile. Haven’t been back to that festival since. Learn you doses 🙏 love watching you guys 🤠

Also if you're looking for a fest you've not done yet similar vibe to this and Boom, can't recommend Lost Village enough. Super immersive production, lots of theatrics with actors giving you quests, hot tubs and spa sessions by a beautiful lake, an on-site games arcade and one of the stages has an actual Aeroplane! Only downside is its the same weekend as Leeds Festival, but definitely think its one the crew will love!

I gave up the sauce a year a go, and it’s the best decision I ever made. People think you have to drink when going out. It’s a win win when not drinking, you can go out and then go about your day the next day. Just think about how many days after are wasted hungover. If you’ve been out 70 times a year that’s 70 days after done in bed too. That’s not including how it affects you mentally and physically.
