well not really, but it is in a way. They basically have to gradually go down as the time goes down, meaning they have to sustain a clean form. then when the timer runs out, they must go back up but at a certain pace with perfect form. So it is really hard.
@@supra1949 look at the video, the end part, they didnt do that, their arms were slightly bent the entire time and then started going down when the timer was low, i get that a normal one minute pushup is slowly going down, but they did not do that.

Isn't Tom Hollands Challenge a handstand challenge? I think we'll have to wait a bit for Browney to fully recover from his shoulder injury as handstands put a lot of stress on the shoulder. But in a few weeks, he'll surely be able to do it.

What they should have done is figured out waypoints. Like a third of the way down every 30 seconds. Doing this would help ensure that there is progression the whole time, rather than staying close to one spot most of the time. It looked like Blue Shirt Guy locked his arms out a couple of times as he readjusted since he was so close to the top of the position so often.
The progression isn't nearly as hard then, since you're releasing the struggle only to to planking on lock offs, while if you if you continuously go down/up it's much harder since you aren't at a lock off point in your muscle.
@@vancestanfield not locking out in planks. I mean that they have mini goals to reach so that you avoid locking out because you're constantly trying to reach the next goal.

I saw this video the first time and I was like that’s real strength right there. I was familiar with the 1 minute push up and never done anything passed it. I then tried this for the first time and failed miserably. I tried it a second time with no practice for any of my attempts and completed it. This was very hard. Browney, his brother, and “guy in the blue shirt”, you guys are the real ones. Keep up the amazing videos.
Aaaack that's hard! I've been working out for around 9 months, and I got to 1m and 40s, with clean form. Hopefully in a few more months I'll be able to beat the impossible pushup! :)
I did on the second try, except instead of a minute and thirty seconds going up and down I only did a minute going up and down. Still pretty challenging though.
Everyone who does this challenge comes up to quickly and stays at a 130° angle for like 1 minute without moving, it's kinda cheeting in a way but gokd effort
Well, let's see, doing a rough measurement on myself I came up with the distance I move my torso for a pushup to be about 16 inches at most (I'm 6', so a shorter person would move even less). Over 1 minute and 30 seconds (or 90 seconds), that would mean moving a little less than half a centimeter every second. That would be practically impossible to judge accurately even without taking the physical strain into account.
We all just gonna ignore when browney congratulated his friend who managed to do the challenge while his bro stood there with a 🙁 face. "I'm a failure" he must have thought...

The younger brother didn't finish because he kept his elbows in the whole time making it more difficult for him. The other two did better because they started with elbows out.
ive always learnrd and put into practice that having your elbows flared out to the side is poor form, keeping them slightly tucked definitely makes it harder but that due to it being a much cleaner form from my experience
Always thought pushups were badass exercises, most likely one of the first forms ever under taken by man. And they give you a well rounded pump, hitting the major upper body. Love how you guys executed this challenge, with blue diamond dude just barely making the time. Also, how he admits that it wasn't the prettiest form, just made it real authentic. i have tried it personally...besides the entire point of a impossible pushup is to do a pushup for that entire duration...and not to engage in somekind of plank for most of the time then suddenly get down.😅😂
We called this a God pushup, because like a god it takes forever to go down and up, you look majestic. I used to be able to do it, nowadays I'm lucky to do 20 down 20 up
Ngl, channels like yours are a good way to show that no matter who you are and how your life is going with enough time and hard work anyone can get healthier, stronger, smarter, more skilled and more successful.
After every leg day and few back exercises , I do a 3 min squat hold by holding a 10kg dumbell...and it's tough as hell because my thigh region starts burning. Try it out sometime 😁👍 P.s after doing that probably you won't be able to walk😂😂
Saw this just now. So I decided to try this challenge put for myself. I did my warm up, and then set the timer going. 50 seconds into the slow descension, I thought, this isn't so hard. 1 minute in I was like, wow this is surprisingly easy! Then I hit 1:10 and the pain in my shoulders started and I began to start shaking.1:20and I dropped. This is actually very hard to do. Insane challenge. Gonna keep working at this one now.

Also the older brother had poor form from the beginning - the shoulder blades werent pulled down so it strained the shoulder more

After every leg day and few back exercises , I do a 3 min squat hold by holding a 10kg dumbell...and it's tough as hell because my thigh region starts burning. Try it out sometime 😁👍
P.s after doing that probably you won't be able to walk😂😂

Saw this just now. So I decided to try this challenge put for myself. I did my warm up, and then set the timer going. 50 seconds into the slow descension, I thought, this isn't so hard. 1 minute in I was like, wow this is surprisingly easy! Then I hit 1:10 and the pain in my shoulders started and I began to start shaking.1:20and I dropped. This is actually very hard to do. Insane challenge. Gonna keep working at this one now.
