Scott here (Orange pants) For people asking how to improve just keep at it, its the same with anything - persistence pays off! Or I recommend attending RDS for a month and you will improve your fitness, strength and flexibility while with us, Guaranteed! For people saying its easier on knuckles, for me it makes no difference hands, knuckles, wide grip, narrow grip, whatever, I train hard and push myself so I can do any version although I prefer doing it on my knuckles for many reasons, the longest i've done in this position is 30 minutes with ups, downs, half way holds, down holds etc If you think that is easier come to RDS, keep up with me and I will give you a month for free ;) Good Luck all
+RisingDragonSchool congrats Scott you killed it. Funny thing is Scott i just showed another youtuber this challenge and is name is also Scott, (Scott Herman Fitness). I have did this about a year ago and i completed it but know i only can do 2 minutes and a half but i believe i can do it again
+Thomas D Thanks for sharing the video Thomas, seems you're not too far off completing it either so keep at it. I have some other challenges similar to this I will try and get around to recording this year.
+ShakexJunt haha no problem, any other requests? I'm no superman but this is not a problem for me. When I have time i will make another video, maybe go through the song twice in a row just for you....Bitch ;)

@@youngmagic8343 i do regulary fists push ups (about 40-50 a day, no workout session) and when i try with my palms i do almost twice more and faster so no
It's much harder doing knuckle pushups on concrete you need alot of pain tolerance and conditioning. The pain alone would make any beginner quit before he even reached 10 reps. I know because I once was there when I had to do knuckle pushups during my time in Japan. LOL good days.
Everybody in here talking only about the guy in the orange pants but let’s just take a moment and respect the guy with the military pants doing diamond push-ups which is way harder

I am so proud of myself, just came back from a long injury break and now it’s the first time I complete this challenge after a long period of time (I completed this first time 2-3 years ago) 💙
I finished this challenge at the age of 16 when i was probably 20 kilos lighter during covid. Forward into 2023, more consistent gym goer, i tried this and barely got half way. Humbling experience but time to go again💯💯
Ian Tejas Merten Am I cheating in the other videos too? 😂 running 22km fasted in -22°C, up & down challenge, 1km log run, 66km ultra marathon, burpee pull-ups, 5 minute circuit???? The only cheating I do is when I eat 2 large pizzas and a kebab from time to time😆
@@idunno512 Unless you reach a high level of push-ups, it is not as easy or easier at all as normal ones. I would like to see you try this challenge on knuckles.
18 years old 155lbs body weight started my first attempt at the challenge nov,17 of this year and got 48 seconds.Finished it today, dec,28 and did expect to finish it this soon.Stayed consistent trying it once a day never skipping. If I can do it you can too.Setting a new goal to do the challenge twice in a row and will most likely update this comment if I ever do it. Good luck.
How is it going. I'm doing two too. It's depends on my Form that day but it's mostly mind over matter. I'm at the second refrain on the second attempt. Finishing two times does not seem impossible anymore.
@@OfficialPro96haven’t stayed consistent in attempts as I used to try everyday to every other but with other things factoring in I try about 2 times a week. Don’t plan on giving up
Sometimes it helps to know what’s coming. This is 8 push ups + 5 push ups + 5 push ups + 12 push ups (for a total of 30). The planks after each push-up series are at 0:59, 1:33, 2:10, & 3:27. The planks can be used as milestones. I got stuck at the 2:10 plank for close to eternity, then I started counting how many pushups I could do past 2:10. Once I got close to 10, I just had to go all the way. Today I finally finished it.
I'm 63 and I am going to try this but i do 50-60 push ups in one set every AM anyway so I should be able to first shot. I did the same thing last summer, haha. Was stuck on 2:16 for soooo long :D. It took me about 2 months be4 i finished it if I recall correctly. I Had a daily streak of additional 60 days where I finished the whole song AFTER I first got it. Just might be my greatest achievement ever :;D Good luck to you, you will get there in the end brother :D
I am 50, and I have completed this challenge every day since late November. Doing the press ups is still hard; but my recovery time is now far quicker.
He has poor posture causing his head to sit too far forward on his shoulders. That's why he turns his head; to get all the way down to a normal level without inhaling dirt.
I dont think that it's specifically harder than normal push ups. It just targets your triceps more than the Chest. Personally i think someone who is able to do more than 15 dips with his own Bodywight will get the same results here, if hes doing normal push ups or diamonds. Personally i get the same results (around 2:15) with both Push Ups and Diamonds.
This is the best version of this track to workout to. Because A) there's just enough extra time at the start to get set up. And B) watching these guys work alongside you is an extra bit of encouragement. Great video! Thanks for all the workouts over the years
@@RisingDragonSchool it got to the extent, when I open my RUclips app on the phone, this comes out 1st. I try to do this exercise first thing in the morning.

Just to throw in my 2 cents since I see a lot of people saying they are struggling. Notice that the guys who last the longest and finished have proper joint alignment of the elbow to hand, with the hands directly under the shoulders. Do not let your arms "chicken wing", rather keep the elbows close to the body to maximize stability and allow your muscular-skeletal system to work more efficiently. Hope this helps and cheers everyone!
Started going to the gym 10 months ago, and in my 10th month i started doing this challenge. My first try i got 2:12 And 10 tries later im now at 3:02. What i end up doing is everytime i fail or give out, I'll pause the song, screenshot my progress and then plank for the remainder of the song, the planks play a big role in my endurance i believe because the majority of the time youre holding a down position so i think the plank helps tremendously, and its getting easier holding the planks and holding the pushup when the song makes you stay down for a count.
@@mrzombie4263 I did it for a few months and it not only improved my push-up stamina, but it also shaped my upper body and arms significantly. (Nothing crazy noticeable but definitely an improvement)
may 31st. 1:37 first attempt, after doing 2 sets of 30 narrow grip pushups 20 min prior... will edit this comment till i get it! June 4. 1:54. Gains! June 6. 2:00 Amazing. June 8. 2:04 Felt stronger. So cool. Did it at 11pm right before bed. June 9. 2:15 Unreal. Did it at 9am after being awake for 3 hours. No breakfast yet. June 11. 2:17. Did heavy bench yesterday, might have had an impact on today's strength. June 15. 2:17. Been doing heavy bench these days. Yesterday hit pb on incline bench. Probably need a full days rest of not chest/arms if I wanna beat 2:17! June 22. 1:23 with narrow grip, thumbs touching n arms grazing my sides. My bench has dramatically improved since doing this challenge, but since I plateaud at that 2:17 mark w this pushup challenge, I'm goona start it over again with narrow grip until I platue with that, then go back to regular width and see if it made me stronger! June 23. 1:43 on the narrow grip. Wow. Didn't expect a 20 second improvement right away like that! June 29. 2:17. Haven't done it in awhile! June 30. 2:17. Stuck!! July 10. 2:17. Haven't been working my narrow grip sally up training like I should be. Been going to gym n lifting heavy incline bench too much. Sept 5th. 2:23. Holy shoot we did it boys!!!! I credit this to the past 3 months of Intermittent Fasting/One Meal a Day eating and the past week of daily handstand practice. Wahoo!! Sept 8th. 2:33! Hell ya baby!!! Making those gains. I think it really helped that I was training my one arm pushup last week, too. Sept 22. 2:53. Hell yes!!! So crazy to be going this long now. I think having a good mix of calisthenic training, weight lifting and REST is important to progress in this. I think I can finish the song before 2019!! April 13th. 2:51. I'm back!! If I knew I was only 2 seconds away from a record maybe I could have squeezed out another rep lol. I'll get 3 minutes this month for sure. May 1st 2020. 2:24 we're back!

January 29: I would call myself pretty athletic and good shaped. But after making just 01:20 I’m questioning myself. February 9: Yo, after practising almost everyday now i have gotten up to 1:41. We’re making progress! February 12: Stuck at 1:41. But every time I get a little close to making the push up! I will not give up! February 15: Finally! I made the push up I struggled on and got to 01:46! February 16: 01:05. I’ve upgraded from a wide grip to a more narrow and “shoulder wide” grip. Felt a lot harder but more effective! February 22: 1:31 with narrow grip! I’ve been working out a lot lately with calisthenics. This video was the start to my journey. March 5: 1:41. Damn, worked out a lot yesterday and felt like I did not reach my full potential. Either way it feels awesome making a bit of progress almost every single day! July 10: I’m back! Haven’t done this challenge in months now and instead been focusing on other calisthenics drills. I’m pretty glad with my try today tho landing at 01:41 again! Anyway, I will keep y’all updated since I will start doing this challenge more regularly again! November 9: 1:47. A lot of people don't know but honestly doing it with your fist is easier it's less strain on your actual shoulders it's like a rubber band when you go down it's easier to hold all the pressure is not on your arms it might hurt your fists but in my opinion it's easier that way

I'm not lying. I've got 3 months doing this and I completed 15 (I'm 13 years old) days ago. But with my fists clenched. I know why, because I'm not american, I am a latin. From what I see the boys in these years they doesn't like to do excersice or something lile that they just want luxuries. That's why they're getting crazy.
Exactly, you look at it on paper and think "30 odd pushups in 3 and a half minutes? Am I missing something?" But then you realise that the whole challenge is based around the chorus as it starts to feel progressively more like death each time it swings round.
Damn, I enjoyed that part. managed to lock my triceps or something while I was down there and rest my arms a little bit... But the first 2 sally ups after that and I was dead...
After some weeks of attempting it every second day i finally made it. I pushed my limits and it challenged my will power. But i am so proud and i am sure you guys can do it as well!!!
I love this routine. I'm 45 and was completely unfit. I started doing press ups at the end of September this year and someone mentioned by chance in early October this routine. It took me just over two months to finish, doing it every day. Now I do it daily. I usually either finish or drop during the last ten seconds!
+random guy Big, deep breaths every time you push up and release when you go down. Aim for milestones i.e. the chorus, so you know how far into the song you are.Aim to get to the chorus, then aim to get through it and then carry on afterwards. Make sure you do it every day. Also do sets of press ups outside of doing the routine (as many as you can - I do 30 at a time - started at 10 and built up). I found that progress at the end came all of a sudden. I'd been stuck at about 2.40 for ages and then it just happened.
Rob J Nearly 47 now and I used to share my account with my daughter but she has her own now so I guess I should have a tidy up. Still do Sally every day...
Went for a half-year practice with this video, doing pushups and crunches, got my core and shoulders firm and strong, plus the "push up help for Sally challenge", and now can go full challenge on my fists. When I first tried this in 2020, shortly after the pandemic began, I barely mananged to do 1 minute. I went up to 1:30 and took 3 months to get through the second long pause, just couldn't get up. When I finally managed to do it, the progress sped up rapidly and I could do the full challenge without breaking a sweat by the end of the year. A few weeks ago, I managed to do the 5 minute extended version with proper form (without back arching or strechting my arms) for the first time. This challenge really is great, and this video heavily inspired me to try it over and over again.
I've been doing a push up routine 4-6 times a week for the last 9 months or so and came across this on the web. Intrigued to see if I could complete it I got to within 8secs of the end 1st time and managed it the next time. This now features 3-4 times a week as part of my routine. Love it....but sometimes randomly hear 'Bring Sally up....bring Sally down' looping around in my head 😂. Thanks for sharing
10/04 - 0:47 Plan on doing it everyday, tho I struggle with discipline 11/04 - 0:55, bit sore from yesterday, but managed to get myself 1 push up further, it's all about the mind. 11/04 2nd attempt - 0:35 12/04 - 1:10, I added a band for assistance bc without my form was way too shit and doing like 1 push up with good form isn't great for the motivation xD 13/04 - 0:42, (with band) wasn't quite feeling it today idk, probably gonna take a rest day tomorrow 14/04- Rest day 15/04 - 1:06 (with band) I did a upper body workout this morning and am already a bit sore (probably not the best time to do this..) so I'm kinda surprised, but hey moving in the right direction 16/04 - 1:18 (with band) was already struggling at the 3rd push up x.x 17/04 - 1:23 (with band) Suprised myself today, I think once I'm at 2 minutes I'll try a lighter band/no band 18/04 - forgot 19/04 - 1:08 w band 20/04 - forgot 21/04 - forgot 22/04 - 1:06 w band, want to focus more on form 23/04 - 0:53 w band, but it kept rolling over which was annoying and caused me to stop and I didn't really feel like doing a second attempt 23/04 - 0:28 Nvm I did do a second attempt, this time without the band, it was a pathetic attempt but tbh I expected to not even be able to do 1 push up 24/04 - 0:53 w band, I kinda start doing like the worm like motion and Idk whether I should stop when I start doing that or just like keep going with shitty push ups... 24/04 - 2:53 inclined push ups (80cm), I feel like the band and actual push ups arent quite working for me, so I think I might start doing it on an incline until I can do the whole song and then use at lower and lower area until I can do it on the ground 30/04 - 1:44 w incline (80cm), Lacking mental strength x.x 01/05 - 0:36 w band (slightly less assistance) I feel weak af... Idk, did 5 extra assisted push ups, maybe I should just work on regular push ups before trying this, 0:42 knee push up attempt
Best ever chest workout. I've been going to the gym for years and this beats any previous pump. Four weeks of training and I finally completed. Thanks for posting, very satisfying 😁👍
I tried this for the first time back in February and only got to 1:50. Since then I've been goin' hard on the pushups but forgot about the challenge, and then my friend just challenged me to do it today, and I actually finished the whole song. Only two months and a lot of pushups and dips later
bro your jacked... legit a month and a half ago to this day, the first time i tried i got 1:10. Just today I got 1:50. In a month in a half though I've gone from 5 pull ups to 10 pull ups... You starting at 2:08 your on a great path lol!!!
haha thanks bro. and you are doing well too! I worked out almost a year so I can do 60 to 70 push ups in a row. At first, I managed to do 5 pull-ups too. If you keep work out, you will eventually succeed the challenge. I hope you can do so
My cousins showed me this video when I was around 8, and now looking back at it this has helped me improve and better myself throughout my years, thank you

@@powerpug964 Power pug Not even close to still good. Its decent for not exercising person but not as hard as doing 1 minute and 20 seconds at normal speed. Faster tempo is way easier to do I thought I'd wreck this challenge with my 120 push ups in 10 minutes but I got to 1:41 and literally couldn't do another push up, big respect to these guys, there's one who did it with proper form for over 11 minutes! Search this up on RUclips if you're curious. Sorry for such long reply but just wanted to say that doing it at 2x speed isn't as good as doing it for 2 minutes
My class did it with squats and my and my friend were the only ones to finish. I find it fun and enjoy with squats but i cant do a pushups to save my life
After many attempts at this, i am proud to say that today I finally did it My advice is, (because a lot of it was mental) Never look at how many more you have to do, always just think that the very next pushup is the one that matters most. And keep repeating this technique to your fullest potential. Each time you break the barrier that you faced last time, you’re getting stronger.
@@swaraj01 glad i helped. And another thing is try to only use the muscles in your abs while on the 5 second holds. This way theres less strain on your arms.
The trick is to just push through the pain. After 1 minute I already want to give up, but i just keep doing them mechanically and next thing I know it's done.
@@henryhewitt4971 Especially when you don't want to just crawl up, but actually do a clean pushup. One can always somehow bring the body up, but is that really the goal here?

I did it! I SMASHED THE CHALLENGE! I‘m so happy, 6 weeks of hard training 💪 The Push up help, vengaboys up & down, 100 pushup workout and the shoulder workout helped to make progress, but at some point I was stuck. The key in that situation was the breathing: the tai chi technique helped and I was able to go beyond my limits. Thanks for everything Scott, I hope seeing you one day at RDS
Going for a 30 day challenge. Probably won’t make it, but still gonna try. Background: I’ve been doing karate for a long time, so push-ups aren’t too hard for me. But because of quarantine, I haven’t really stayed in shape. I’m not used to holding it. We just do sets of 10 or 20 then do something else. Day 1: 0:45 Day 2: 0:55 Day 3: 0:49 Day 4: 0:55 Day 5: 1:01 Day 6: Hurt knee and hip, so didn’t do it. Day 7: 0:54, did it again right after and got 1:07 Day 8: 1:30 Day 9: 1:33 Day 10: 1:40 Day 11: didn’t do it. But we did tons of push-ups and planks in karate. Day 12: 1:48 Day 13: forgot Day 14: 1:32 Day 15: 1:49 Day 16: hurt knee again 😬 Day 17: 1:56 Day 18: Busy and by the time I was done I was exhausted. Day 19: 2:07 Day 20: 2:17 Edit: I gave up. 2:17 was my record. I don’t feel like trying to do this again. Came up 10 days short but that’s fine.

Scott here (Orange pants) For people asking how to improve just keep at it, its the same with anything - persistence pays off! Or I recommend attending RDS for a month and you will improve your fitness, strength and flexibility while with us, Guaranteed!
For people saying its easier on knuckles, for me it makes no difference hands, knuckles, wide grip, narrow grip, whatever, I train hard and push myself so I can do any version although I prefer doing it on my knuckles for many reasons, the longest i've done in this position is 30 minutes with ups, downs, half way holds, down holds etc If you think that is easier come to RDS, keep up with me and I will give you a month for free ;)
Good Luck all
+RisingDragonSchool congrats Scott you killed it.

SYN. Its easier to do push ups on your knuckles
@@idunno512 Unless you reach a high level of push-ups, it is not as easy or easier at all as normal ones. I would like to see you try this challenge on knuckles.
@@idunno512 That's actually 100% false.
Form drops at the end but it’s hard
18 years old 155lbs body weight started my first attempt at the challenge nov,17 of this year and got 48 seconds.Finished it today, dec,28 and did expect to finish it this soon.Stayed consistent trying it once a day never skipping. If I can do it you can too.Setting a new goal to do the challenge twice in a row and will most likely update this comment if I ever do it. Good luck.
Respect 🫡
Did you ever do 2 in a row?
Two would be crazy

I dont think that it's specifically harder than normal push ups. It just targets your triceps more than the Chest. Personally i think someone who is able to do more than 15 dips with his own Bodywight will get the same results here, if hes doing normal push ups or diamonds. Two dates, no edit tag?
Just to throw in my 2 cents since I see a lot of people saying they are struggling. Notice that the guys who last the longest and finished have proper joint alignment of the elbow to hand, with the hands directly under the shoulders. Do not let your arms "chicken wing", rather keep the elbows close to the body to maximize stability and allow your muscular-skeletal system to work more efficiently. Hope this helps and cheers everyone!
Wtf? This actually works :E

I don't get it!
Started going to the gym 10 months ago, and in my 10th month i started doing this challenge.
My first try i got 2:12
And 10 tries later im now at 3:02.
Well at the 11th try I plummeted back down to 2:09.
I think i need to let my body rest from doing it every day lol

Same lmao my body has never ached so much 😭
Literally it is torture
How does it work in boxing class...
0bada They probably play this song and do push-ups with it. We’ve done something like this in kickboxing class as well.
We do it in boxing too loool

After some weeks of attempting it every second day i finally made it. I pushed my limits and it challenged my will power. But i am so proud and i am sure you guys can do it as well!!!
I love this routine. I'm 45 and was completely unfit. I started doing press ups at the end of September this year and someone mentioned by chance in early October this routine. It took me just over two months to finish, doing it every day. Now I do it daily. I usually either finish or drop during the last ten seconds!
Good job that's actually really impressive
+Lee Bailey Any tips on how to improve? Like my start time is near 1:05.
Lee Bailey you have vids of logo and your 45?
Rob J Nearly 47 now and I used to share my account with my daughter but she has her own now so I guess I should have a tidy up. Still do Sally every day...
Went for a half-year practice with this video, doing pushups and crunches, got my core and shoulders firm and strong, plus the "push up help for Sally challenge", and now can go full challenge on my fists. Really satisfied with results! Great video! Also can do plenty of other exercises using the song. Respect!

Hector Tio Salamanca just hanging during „sally down“ is hard enough
Hector Tio Salamanca holding it down is super hard too
When I first tried this in 2020, shortly after the pandemic began, I barely mananged to do 1 minute.
Great! Thx for sharing.
10/04 - 0:47 Plan on doing it everyday, tho I struggle with discipline
11/04 - 0:55, bit sore from yesterday, but managed to get myself 1 push up further, it's all about the mind.
11/04 2nd attempt - 0:35
12/04 - 1:10, I added a band for assistance bc without my form was way too shit and doing like 1 push up with good form isn't great for the motivation xD
13/04 - 0:42, (with band) wasn't quite feeling it today idk, probably gonna take a rest day tomorrow
14/04- Rest day
15/04 - 1:06 (with band) I did a upper body workout this morning and am already a bit sore (probably not the best time to do this..) so I'm kinda surprised, but hey moving in the right direction
16/04 - 1:18 (with band) was already struggling at the 3rd push up x.x
17/04 - 1:23 (with band) Suprised myself today, I think once I'm at 2 minutes I'll try a lighter band/no band
18/04 - forgot
19/04 - 1:08 w band
20/04 - forgot
21/04 - forgot
22/04 - 1:06 w band, want to focus more on form
23/04 - 0:53 w band, but it kept rolling over which was annoying and caused me to stop and I didn't really feel like doing a second attempt
23/04 - 0:28 Nvm I did do a second attempt, this time without the band, it was a pathetic attempt but tbh I expected to not even be able to do 1 push up
24/04 - 0:53 w band, I kinda start doing like the worm like motion and Idk whether I should stop when I start doing that or just like keep going with shitty push ups...
24/04 - 2:53 inclined push ups (80cm), I feel like the band and actual push ups arent quite working for me, so I think I might start doing it on an incline until I can do the whole song and then use at lower and lower area until I can do it on the ground
30/04 - 1:44 w incline (80cm), Lacking mental strength x.x
01/05 - 0:36 w band (slightly less assistance) I feel weak af...

+Michał Daniel Yea, I have a hunch he was in the military at some point.
+Gamacios we do nearly the same thing in karate, but we only touch the ground with the first two knuckles... it's to harden your knuckles
I tried this for the first time back in February and only got to 1:50. Since then I've been goin' hard on the pushups but forgot about the challenge, and then my friend just challenged me to do it today, and I actually finished the whole song. Only two months and a lot of pushups and dips later

haha thanks bro. and you are doing well too!

Power pug
Not even close to still good. Sorry for such long reply but just wanted to say that doing it at 2x speed isn't as good as doing it for 2 minutes
that's still impresive :D
I too
Me too... That too deserves an achievement 🙃

@@meeskollenveld5306 There's a lot behind completing this one song. Not an easy feat for most
My class did it with squats and my and my friend were the only ones to finish. I find it fun and enjoy with squats but i cant do a pushups to save my life
@@tiannawalters9214 man thats easy i nearly did it with push ups lasted 3mins and 11 secs
I did it first try xD
After many attempts at this, i am proud to say that today I finally did it
My advice is, (because a lot of it was mental) Never look at how many more you have to do, always just think that the very next pushup is the one that matters most. And keep repeating this technique to your fullest potential. Each time you break the barrier that you faced last time, you’re getting stronger.
Fantastic, thats precisely what i wanted to hear
@@swaraj01 glad i helped. And another thing is try to only use the muscles in your abs while on the 5 second holds. This way theres less strain on your arms.

The trick is to just push through the pain. After 1 minute I already want to give up, but i just keep doing them mechanically and next thing I know it's done.
The last 5 are hard as fuck, that’s when you just gotta keep saying “only one more and you can quit” each time
Muscles dont work anymore. Cant lift arms.
It’s easier said than done
@@henryhewitt4971 I agree.
@@henryhewitt4971 Especially when you don't want to just crawl up, but actually do a clean pushup. One can always somehow bring the body up, but is that really the goal here?
