interesting fact, in ff7, cc and the tech demo she turns her head left and starts walking in that direction in the remake she turns her head right as a sound cue is heard and acts as if "someone" is at the end of the alley. from the beginning SE was hinting this is not the same game

Now to point out something interesting. In the original, Tech Demo, and Crisis Core versions, Loveless Avenue is a full street that keeps going... In the remake, it's a dead-end and Loveless Theater and Studio White are part of the same building. Alternate universe confirmed?
For those saying the 1997 original is better need to take their nostalgia goggles off. I love FF7 as much as a lot of people, but people need to stop and smell the roses. This remake is a massive improvement.
The Crisis Core post credit is just the bizniz to me. I LOVE the remake but as for “faithful” recreations (aside from the Buster sword hilt) The Crisis Core aesthetic is so good. Can’t say I have a preference between the two because the Remake looks amazing as it’s own thing.
I find PS3 demo an outstanding success in retrospective. Back in the day sure it looked great, but also it was pretty close looking to Crisis Core CGI, which came years after the demo and of course, CGI looks more refined that that PS3 demo and still today they look good. Just imagine how incredible could have been able to play a realtime CGI cutscene in PS3. Gladly that actually happened as Metal Gear Solid 4 was a playable cutscene xD and God of War 3 was on console's peek.... but I'm even more glad to live in the reality, as Final Fantasy 7 Remake surpass everything done by PS3 and Crisis Core
I'm not a purist, in fact I can see the arguments from both sides. Which is why I still say that once all parts of the remake are released, they should have a merged version that is a 1:1 recreation of the original story without deviations, have all the extra stuff sure like chapter 4 as an optional extended Sidequest, but only as long as it doesn't contradict anything, so no early Sephiroth or whispers, but still have all the new side characters like Roche, Leslie and Kyrie. Keep the fleshing out and expanded stuff, but none of the contradictory stuff. And this should be apparent Right down to the intro, skip all the establishing shots of Midgar from the desert, and start with the Mako and Aerith, and make it just like the Crisis Core and the tech demo versions with no "One Winged Angel" leitmotifs or stepping on the flower. (but keeping the scale of the Remake Midgar for the longer pan/zoom out, I really like that.) Then have the remake story be a sort of New Game+ with multiple endings (I'm hoping for that anyways because otherwise what's the point of defeating the arbiters of fate if it's still going to be linear?), including a bad ending where Sephiroth wins, a neutral ending where it's basically the same as the original, and a SSS Ending where everybody lives except the irredeemable villains. Granted when was the last time a Final Fantasy game had multiple branching endings? closest I can think of is Chrono Trigger which of course, isn't an FF game.
I remember the time I was almost bursting into tears and yes... being trolled like that for a long time hurt pretty badly. And then of course the announcement for FVII to be ported from PS1 to PS4. And then of course came the OFFICIAL announcement that gave me hope. The demo came and I was finally bursting into tears when the release date came. Kept playing the demo almost non-stop. It was the same feeling it gave me like Devil May Cry V. So back to back games like that was just overly joyous at the time. 2019 for DMCV and then of course 2020 for FFVIIR

FF7 Remake is a sequel to original FF7. The original FF7 was the future vision Aerith saw

When she turns in remake you can hear a faint verse of sephiroths theme, SE knew what they where doing, so excited for Rebirth
