In honor of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on what would have been his 89th birthday, we share a clip from Tavis Smiley's 2005 conversation with Coretta Scott King, his widow. This conversation would be her last national, public conversation.
Tavis asked what she thought Dr. King might bring to a contemporary conversation in America about race, about politics, about economics. What might he be saying that's not being heard in our discourse right now.
