The Ed Sullivan Show was a television variety program that aired on CBS from 1948-1971. For 23 years it aired every Sunday night and played host to the world's greatest talents. The Ed Sullivan Show is well known for bringing rock n' roll music to the forefront of American culture through acts like Elvis Presley, The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. The entertainers each week ranged from comedians like Joan Rivers and Rodney Dangerfield, to Broadway stars Julie Andrews and Richard Burton, to pop singers such as Bobby Darin and Petula Clark. It also frequently featured stars of Motown such as The Supremes, The Temptations, Stevie Wonder and The Jackson 5. The Ed Sullivan Show was one of the only places on American television where such a wide variety of popular culture was showcased and its legacy lives on to this day.

So dignified and well spoken. As an Asian American, I choke back tears and thank MLK Jr. and the Civil Rights movement for improving the lives of all Americans. His words still ring true all these years later!! We will get to the Promised Land!! 🙏

She’s such a strong, elegant and poised woman. God truly provided her with the strength to do this segment. Most women might have fallen to pieces. Thank you, God for placing this couple on Earth. They are a great example of what true love should be.

I take it that this was surrounding the 1970 documentary "King From Montgomery to Memphis" that year. My dad took me to see it at a local church and to see the people just a few years removed from those events respond in the way that they did made an impression on me.

Coretta and Martin were two powerful for the establishment yes there both gone but as some of us know death is not the end you can’t kill spirit that lives forever if Martin wanted to run for president he would of won as well but he would of turned it around and got rid of politics and dealt with love and peace instead unfortunately that dream isn’t recognised on this earth plane the establishment don’t want it they don’t want us coming together then where two powerful for the establishment but I’ll always be grateful to them both the sacrifices they made are telling us all we are all gods children and are purpose is to help one another so many great people and the ascended masters have left all this great knowledge with us it’s gotta be the way forward I do believe in spirit and one day surely the human spirit has too beat these bar coded fools that control this world
