From his celebrated conversations with world figures to his work to inspire the next generation of leaders, Tavis Smiley - broadcaster, author, publisher, advocate, and philanthropist - has emerged as an outstanding voice for change. Smiley was host of the late-night television talk show Tavis Smiley on PBS for 14 seasons, and will premiere a new talk show “The Upside with Tavis Smiley” this spring.
Smiley has written 22 books. His memoir, What I Know for Sure: My Story of Growing Up in America, became a New York Times Bestseller, and the book he edited, Covenant with Black America, became the first nonfiction book by a Black-owned publisher to reach #1 on The New York Times Bestseller’s list.

Why is everyone acting like this performance is a competition? A multi instrumentalist who also sings maybe isnt as good a singer as some of the best singers ever. Ok..cool....Geddy lee can't play guitar as well as Alex Lifeson or play drums as well as Neil Peart...and they cant play bass as well as Geddy. A rush song isnt a contest nor is this.

Jacob and Bass is in tune from the start it seems. Theres is a bit of harmonic discrepancy between them, and the choir harmonies. My belief is that Jacob is relying on his perfect pitch, and since the bass was 'on his side' he wouldn't correct. Now the rest of the group is not out of tune per say, since they seem to be in tune with each other, but not Jacob and the bass. Just a bit weird. They seem to meet each other around 3:00 and get separated again soon after. But this arrangement.. It's a real challenge!
