- To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s "Beyond Vietnam" speech, we are joined by Professor and Author Marc Lamont Hill, Co-Executive Director of Highlander Center Research and Education Center Ash-Lee Woodard Henderson, and Executive Director of Color of Change Rashad Robinson.
Following our broadcast interview (link below), we continued our discussion. In this web exclusive, we unpack this quote from African-American historian and activist Vincent Harding, credited with authoring Dr. King's "Beyond Vietnam" speech. He said, "A new America still needs to be born. Let us be the midwives."

Can we hear from these folks again after the protests of 2020? Where are we? Biden/Harris?
After watching this program with those three guests - the two males in particular but the female to a lesser extent nonetheless she still plays a pivotal role as well- I don’t see how Tavis Smiley didn’t see what was so apparent in his presence! These 3 guest were not talking about uplifting the black family (husband/wife/children - the true trinity) in America, their plan is to usher in the alternative lifestyle for the black family which consist of lesbianism, homosexuality, transgenderism, immigrants, interracial couples and narcissism of the individual! The implementation of this new order is being filter through the black women (a majority of them unknowingly) and through her the agenda is being propagated to the entire community via Music, reality shows, movies, news outlet, social media and most importantly through the political leadership. Looking back at this interview, the writing was clearly on the wall by the way the folks on that stage, particularly the males panelist, wanted Tavis out of the picture in order to bring forth the vision they had for the reimagined black community in America - which again consist of primarily of black females, black lesbians, homosexuals, immigrants and interracial couples. This vision they are imagining is not for the unification of the righteous black nation nor the black righteous family (husband/wife/child - the true trinity)! And when you really analyze what they're communicating - their vision does not consist of the alpha black righteous male figure either. You know when you think about it- no vision is successful if the righteous alpha black man is left out of it!
sounds like you need a drink and to sit down. The winds of change are blowing.

By saying the "System" is not broken, it only contributes to the problem. "The System" was designed for all to contribute and benefit... However, the cancerous disease called "Racism" has infected the very fibers of our infrastructure. We have been so focused on preventing another from succeeding that we ended up hurting ourselves. We have been conditioned to think, act, and move in a certain way that contributes to a "Broken System." The "System" is not broken. We are.
How do we fix "The Broken System", we start with ourselves and our communities and make a difference. Demand-change. Be the change.
Our children are not disposable.
We have fought in your wars and contributed to a "system" that stole our land --- We fight for equality and justice
The system was created to be what it is. The USA is an illegitimate entity. N. Americans never invited Europeans.
When Europeans came they didn't come with their papers. They never intended to follow any local laws or contribute anything to anyone. They got their constitution from The Irriquois Confederation and they wrote contitution after smallpox blankets etc.
Then they wanted to jump start their economy, so they trafficked us in for a very long time. We never asked to hop on those ships. We didn't want to spend any time with them. We have survived despite this country, not because of it.
This country was cut from a certain cloth. This country was founded upon crimes against humanity and the character of the country has never strayed from that foundation.
N. America is still occupied land, we're still speaking a European language. More of our people are in privately owned for profit prisons than were on those plantations back then.
At this point we all know that all of us are connected to this land, but our relationships with The USA is not the same as white people's relationship with it.
These problems are tough. I don't see the problem of white supremacy improving as long as the country remains in this form at all.
What I also recognize, though is that if this country were to go belly up like The USSR, we would also bear the brunt of the fall out, because collectively, we don't have that economic strength, either.
I don't know what a lasting solution come from, I know we can't just sit around waiting, either.
I have very little faith in this country, but I do believe in my people with in this country. Perhaps little by little we can dismantle all of their bullshit.

Alisa Inez the system was broken when they put it in place, long ago.
So, the system isn't broken. It works the way it was designed. At sometimes this system that was created will eventually come tumbling down. Because it doesn't stand on truth or trust. I hope we are ready for what's about to happen. Let's pray God continues to look on us favorably.

revolution of values would be a serious black think tank that is support to continue and must produce at all times with a form of input such a tavis and roland martin as input stations dr. umar Johnson as the extremist formulation; and people like marc lamont hill as the central, ! not just center but the central and cornel west types of guys as cotributors no t leadership because they couldnt be strong enough to be panafrikanist do u know what I mean?
