I've been addicted to skimboarding since 1987. there is just something magic about sliding across wet sand into the ocean. I thought I was pretty hot because I could do a 360. The art Mr. Sears creates with his skill approaches the divine. So much fun to watch!

I bought a Seventy-Seven Switch board a few years back, and it's been sitting in my garage with wax and sand still on it for 3 years! I really need to go out somewhere to skimboard again.

I'd have to say, this was an outstanding video. But please read this. I am a young teenager who has been into filming, acting, and video production almost my entire life. I do movies of longboarding, skimboarding, etc. I film with just my Iphone 4 camera, and I may be using a Cannon T4I in the future. Thanks for reading.

one of the things they do is called sideslipping. The way you do this is after you have jumped on, you turn your board perpendicular to the direction you are heading. this does allow you to float out further. Another technique is when u basically pump the front of the board up and down and leaning forward to get more speed. Hope this helps

My mind has just spewn forth through my eye sockets. He catches better waves, longer rides, and more barrels than me from shore and without paddling. I took up the wrong sport it appears. No jockeying for position, no agro line-ups, no current fighting jello arms, and if there is a shark...stand up and walk away...Genious!

look here mate, i surf and skim.and although i like surfing better than skimming ,i have to admit that skimboarding also gives you another cool and unique feeling that you don't have in surfing. that's the reason why i started skimming along with surfing :) anyway they are both two bad ass sports :p

@Rocker1364 There are some decent boards around $200 but if you really want something to take your skimming to the next level the Recruit is a great choice. They run at $299.00 and its the best board at that price point in our opinion. Thankfully, many of our customers seem to agree!

Ive watched this video so many times its ridiculous
a dude cruise would be an excellent board to learn on. I would highly recommend learning on a foam board rather than a wood one. It will help you progress much faster. Make sure your first board is plenty big too. Many of the cheap foam boards are really small in size.
