I really appreciate the dedication in each video you post. To be successful in stock markets, crypto and so on as a side hustle, individuals should understand the crossover between asset classes & liquidity flow. Ann Elizabeth Messer focuses on Multi-asset trading, a single strategy to manage risk, profit, and the code or the actual decision-making across multi-asset classes. Her skills set is top notch.

My husband and I are debt free. My car of 12 years is ready to be traded in, but I am saving up so that I can pay cash for it. Following a budget is so important. It helps you realize how your money is working for you on a daily basis. You shared many thoughtful tips that can help a lot of your viewers. Thanks, Eileen.

"Yes!" to just about everything you said, Eileen! The best thing my husband and I did was set up a budget. We've been following it for 25+ years and it has not only allowed us to semi-retire, but it provided us a cushion when I was unexpectedly downsized from my job. Taking control of your finances = freedom. Keep up the great work!

Lots of good info and ideas Eileen! For many points throughout my career, I had a side hustle. Not only did it provide extra cash but a different perspective as well. So it's not necessarily just about the money but personal growth as well.

Hubby and I drive our 6 year old Audi (its a 2015, and bought cash), we're only looking to upgrade since we are experiencing the inconveniences of having a 3-door car (with our parents visiting and staying more often + baby on the way). We only need 1 car, I WFH and don't like driving anymore and he takes the tube to the office. However, we didn't look to upgrade just because we could. We also don't have a TV license because when we watch TV, its either netlfix or amazon prime anyway. It's really all about trade-off, swapping what you don't need for what you really want and sticking within the budget.

May I know what series is your Audi? Thinking of getting one down the line which can last more than 10 years without causing too much issues with engine/maintenance etc.

i plan to transit to part time in my mid 50s as well, and i’m working hard to build a healthy financial net to get there. by that time my son will be an adult and my daughter almost there and while i love them to pieces, i am looking forward to reclaiming my life 🎉 with this goal in mind, i am ready to work hard till then, and in the meantime keep our expenses low. my husband agreed to downgrade from a posche to a bmw family car, and i am switching from Hermes to the occasional LV. yes v first world issues but two small changes with a big impact to our household balance sheet.

Interesting thoughts from the perspective of a 'luxury minimalist' ... I'm definitely not the target audience, big tech recommendation magic got me here, but I'm glad there's people trying to help in communities like this too.
"Paying yourself first" primarily makes sense if a person doesn't understand the value money has to them. Ideally, your expenses and savings should be"paying for yourself" which is a tiny difference, but an important distinction for understanding whether your expenses are actually meaningful to you.
The only other major hesitation I have is the emphasis on investing, it definitely doesn't have to be a black box (as you mentioned), but understanding debt, interest and tax I think are important mini milestones before jumping into investing. Just to understand the full picture a bit more, it makes getting to the point a bit more difficult, but it affects the value you think you have.
Overall, great share and keep doing what you love! ✌️

What I like about you the most is that despite you changed your spendings habits and followed the minimalism route you did not sell your luxury handbags !
You kept your beautiful things but you did not add any more

I have come across having an abundancy mindset and a scarcity mindset. A scarcity mindset means you always feel your lacking so you may shop too much. Having an abundance mindset is where you feel like you have enough. I am definitely trying my hardest to live with an abundancy mindset. I wish I had this mindset in the past. I do think that asking for more money depends on a lot of factors. In my professional field, and location, there is a salary ceiling. I have reached the highest I am going to achieve in my field and it is on the lower end of things. I have the years, and experience but I would not be able to afford to not accept a job offer. However, I have been taking steps to find a new career.

Good evening, i really do enjoy your videos. I too am intentional with my spending. I have investments and am debt free. Is it ever possible to ‘oversave’. I’m not being facetious Eileen, I’m curious to start this discussion because if we’ve ticked all the boxes and have savings, in the UK we are then subject to inheritance tax on assets of a certain amount. Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated ❤
