The Snake Pass driven in a SLK 350 V6 (Exhaust cam)

I thought I would try something different with this video. No commentary in this video, just a V6 engine and a decent exhaust note.
I filmed this in November 2021 on a nice crisp Sunday morning.
We start at Ladybower reservoir and head west across the pass to the outskirts of Glossop. This route means the engine is under load as we go up the valley and hopefully gives us a better exhaust note on the film as it bounces off the sides of the valley..
The first part follows the river so more twists in the road before we climb up to the top.
The second part is up the valley to the summit.
Third is the shorter run down to the end of the stretch, just outside Glossop.

Thanks for the ride. I'm looking at a 2010 SLK350 manual and a 2005 SLK55, Both are at my local Porsche dealer at very reasonable prices. I might swing a deal for both if I can wangle it.

Is this the standard exhaust note? Or have you fitted an aftermarket system? Sounds great at revs

That is the standard exhaust. On the 350 they have an X pipe as standard. Some 55 owners fit them to their cars, but personally I would go custom on a v8 exhaust.
You don't hear so much of the note from the cabin, but it does sound good from the outside..
