The VW Touaregs have the exact same problem with the deck lid struts. They rust and wear out to the point where the stud and the strut have to be replaced. I always fill the mounting ends of the struts with clear, usually dielectric grease.
Hello man, it's amazing how you can solve any problem on these BMWs so easily, you're brilliant! I love to see your videos, you're the norwegian Streten ! Keep it up 💪 Congrats from France 👍
very nice spec. comfort seats, soft close doors, ACC, night vision, adaptive xenon, roller sunblinds, HUD, lane assist, climate comfort windscreen, electric tailgate ! is it maybe the tailgate pump that is faulty/weak? looking forward to watching the build on this one !
If I'm correct, this is N57 engine and you're lucky to have rail pressure sensor in the front. M57 engines had it in the back, where it was quite difficult to reach.
@@EMSGARAGEE61 That's interesting, maybe then earlier M57s had it in the back. They were known to cause variety of weird issues, and the problem usually was simply a bad contact in the connector.
Man this thing has a dream spec, nearly fully kitted out! Only thing i could see is its missing Automatically dimming ouside mirrors. Maybe retrofit them?
Hi. Your abs wheel sensor may go out soon, as the abs ring on the axle will grind it out. Before it is broken you can change the ring, or the more expensive option is to get a new axle. Did the new boot strut make a difference? Thinking of changing it aswell.
The heating problem drove me nuts when i owned a 530d. When i drove 80 km/h it slowly started to blow cold air during wintertime. A couple of kick-downs did the hot air come back for a while. All this time engine temp was above 90 degrees. I hope you'll find what the problem is 👍 Happy new year 🥂
The thing is the car never blows hot air, just warm, I didn’t check so I’m just going to replace the thermostats, if that doesn’t help we need troubleshooting😊
probably heat control valve. It was my case, but in E46. Car was still heating at max. Very unconfortable especially in summer. Changed the heat valve and everything works fine since then.
@@oblajznenyBLAJZ for me that was the first thing i replaced, was not nessecary because it didn't help. As i'm thinking of it again, maybe the heatercore was clogged or the hoses were connected wrong. But i sold the car so i'll never know 😁
@@EMSGARAGEE61 Thermostat is a common faillure, so chances are good. Btw, do you know how to enter the secret menu in kombi? Very handy to show the missing coolant temperature 👍
I hope you had some stand under the car when changing wheel speed sensor. My friends hydraulic jack faild in the way that it made bum and car was on the ground in fraction of a second.
Bro you are a little M539 Restorations, keep it up 😎🙌🔥
Yes yes...but he does diesel ones. "Tractors" as Streten calls them.
M539d Restorations
@@xedasxedas even better. More "European" as Sreten likes more the US type of BMWs

Really fun to see this 530XD come back to life! I really should make an updated video on mine haha. :)
Looking forward to the next video

It doesn’t sound very healthy either (tailgate pump)
Good one as well, keep it up. Waiting for the next one
Keep up the good work mate! Un saluto dall'Italia!
Its a nice video, well processed. I like that higher speed with good music between explenation.Good job
Nice video! Pay attention to the direction of these winter tires.😁

Hm, this is actually m57, n57 which is 3 litre didn’t come in the e60/1

You can also just make a little hole in the top of the container and plug it with a rubber
By the way the way you light the match is very cool
nice videos keep it going

Havent really tested the car, will see if it leaks after we drive it😊
Yes it is actually a known problem, the ABS ring will swell up from rust and grind on the wheel speed sensor
@@MFSE7EN yea had to repair it recently
my dream car :) nice vid!
Just a point , if a tire is low on air it actually spins faster :)

Godt nyttår! :) Nice video as always :D
On older models the abs rings rust between the drive shafts so the abs ring then touches the sensor maybe that still happens on e61

Whats that squeaking sound from 12:03 to 12:08 when you start the car and turn it off. Sounds like a belt?
Where do you find such cheap cars? Nice video by the way :D
You have night vision and distronic on e61 😮?
Is the strut links on the E6x not 100nm+90 degrees as the E9x, or do they differ in that regard?

What’s the model of the OBD Reader?
Topdon, not sure the model
Great job, consistently do the work, people will appreciate it. 👍
Intresert og selge bilen når du er ferdig ?

Yes eventually after I fix it
Still having diesels in the scandinavian countries? I tought it was done with diesel there, because like 90% of the people drive there electric
Yeah that’s not really the case, around 90% new cars that are sold are electric, but there is still bunch of fossil cars driving around
