Yes please E90 fix as well! Do you think you could do costings as well? It would be interesting to see the cost of buying the vehicle and total cost of repairs to see if it is possible to put a car back on the road. I would like to do it myself but I don’t have the knowledge. I do enjoy learning how it is possible though keep up the good work and excellent Norwegian swearing!
For the 4x4, when you turn on the car, try to steer it from max left to max right few times, then go on a drive - should clear itself out. Same thing happened when the battery was disconnected on my 320xd :)
Btw, adaptive cruise control is on the lever/stick behind wheel. The 3rd button (From up to down) is the night vision, the 2nd is head up display. Great video, enjoyed watching it.
I watched the M539 restoration video and RUclips suggested your videos to me. I have watched most of your videos and am really amazed at your skills in both repair and presentation of material. I wish prosperity to your channel. I will watch the next videos with great pleasure. From Russia with respect.
Thanks man, i really appreciate it, many people say i am trying to copy Sreten, but I am honestly not, I just love fixing cars in a detailed way, and it just appeares that M539 is the only guy to do it in this way, and is the guy that started this whole mechanical content videos. Don’t get me wrong, he is one of my inspirations, but at the end of the day I am just having fun and doing what I love😊
Crazy Spec on the Car. Heated steering wheel, ACC and even the BMW individual Sound System ! If this had beed built later with the CIC, this would be an incredible E61. Hope you get the Night Vision to work, afaik the Sensor is crazy expensive.
Yeah it’s pretty awesome, ther guy in the comments said that it is possible to polish the lens, then the image does improve, because I tried it at night and it is working but just lightly
I have the same car, even the same colour monacoblau :D Yours is higher spec thou. I've had the car for 6 years. Having had almost every possible problem and fixing it myself I'm pretty familiar with this platform. I even did a full engine rebuild 2 years ago when the third cylinder thanked me from taking good care of the car by cracking the cylinder wall. Good car and good engine but needs a lot of maintenance and proper fixing. Your car is prolly better than mine since it's lower milage. Mine is almost 380k km now. Easy to work on and usually they are totally rust free. If that 4x4 warning is just from battery drainage it should go away when driving over 20kmh and turning a few times. Those light warnings are from broken headlamp units, prolly water damage on the circuit board. Try drying and cleaning them with electric cleaner. The whole headlamp might be connected or totally dead cause it's not even flickering.
Very nice video, and well edited. If you can, buy an M-sport bumper for the E61, it looks so much better than the stock bumper. Even more so since the car is fully loaded with options.
Endelig en ny video :D Jeg kan endel om BMW, men lærer stadig mer av videone dine :) Sier det nok en gang, du er flink og kommer til å gjøre det bra på youtube! :D Ja, vil se mer av E90`n :)
16:53 that was some sketchy work. I think you need to invest in some better jacks or a lift just to make working under the car much more safe! I wouldn't trust those little jack stands, so easy to rock and fall from the jack points! Loving the content though!
They may seem little on Camera, but they are the biggest jackstands I could find, each of them are graded for 5 tons each, pretty hardcore and stable, but I understand your concern because they do seem small on camera😊 Thanks for the support
@@EMSGARAGEE61I think, when you put the jack stands under the rear pads, you let the triangle "point" backwards, and under the front pads pointing forwards. Sometimes you could test to push the car off the stands, to see if it's easy or not. If it seems very stable, then there is no need to let them fall.
I have never seen so big Jackstands. Could you tell me some kind of name oder manufacturer or something. It would be a nice upgrade for my little ones lol
Great video as always. That car has some really cool equipment. Night vision and adaptive cruise control is cool the lci also has stop&go function so it works in queues which pre lci doesnt have. You forgot Individual audio system as well which is really good some people think Logic 7 is highest option but individual audio was I think a 3000 euro option that was introduced on lci models as an option earlier it was exclusive to the M5 only I think. Hopefully for you the radar for the adaptive cruise survived the crash that thing is expensive. Night vision camera has a common problem that the lens itself gets bad. You can polish it and the quality of the image shown on the screen in the car will improve. There are diy videos on youtube regarding this. Seems like you have classic problem with the automatic trunk that the cylinder is broken. It is very expensive I think around 900 euro but it is a good option to have and worth fixing I think. Manual tailgate on E61 is bad in my opinion the trunk itself is so heavy and even new gas struts struggle to lift it especially in winter time so automatic trunk is so nice to have. Please make a video on how to replace pulleys and belts + ac belt in front of the engine. Almost no videos on how to do it on M57. I would like to see transmission service too there are kits for zf 6hp28 to buy that includes every thing to make the gearbox shift as new.
Wow you know this stuff very well, the adaptive radar did survive, just the bracket broke, that I have already bought, and the night vision explains it, because when I tried it few days ago it had very foggy image. Thanks
@@EMSGARAGEE61 I forgot to mention you also have lane keeping aid which only lci models could get it is very very rare option there is a sensor in front of the rear view mirror, it sits very close to the sensor for automatic high beam that scans the road (which I bet your car has it is almost fully equipped only few things missing). The steering column is specific just for this option since the steering wheel vibrates when you swerve out of your lane. Btw the head up display it has an adjustment screw behind the idrive display that lets you tilt the display so that you can see it all the time. From factory you need to sit like an old lady to be able to see the display. Also there is a trick you can do with the display you can code it very easily with a computer and activate M5 hud which gives you rpm gauge and shows what gear you are in.
@@samuelh9165 wow that is so awesome, its going to be an awesome car when it will be done, i knew it har good equipment but didn’t think it was that cool😊✌️
@@EMSGARAGEE61 my e60 530xd had bad rusty abs ring that caused that problem. It was like 10e part. I heard that its common problem with that era bmw's. Also some cheap sensors could not work at all or not last very long

Did you say it is my 2008? Maybe you should put the VIN-number in the despription. Why? If someone want to do something on his/her own car it can be interesting to know if the details are the same or slightly changed. BMW tends to change "things" every now and then, and if you have the VIN-number, you can check the spare part number. If you have or make a homepage, you can link to RUclips. Then you can describe a little more what is done in a certain video. Then it will be easier for Google to find the link and the right video. You have think that someone want to look at the video also in five or ten years. Maybe you should adjust the audio a little bit higher, because it's always possible for me(!) to turn it down, but now I always have to use maximum audio adjustment. A question, would it not be possible to weld the broken oil tray? Maybe you can weld it, and sell it!?
Yes it is 2008, the vin is WBAPY71030C023296. The audio i will try to fix, still cant figure it out, but will try to make it louder so viewers can adjust themselves, thanks for the feed back. And the oil pan you can weld for sure, but since it is aluminum i cant weld it my self, because i only have MIG and MMA welder, i could of also got someone else to weld it for me, but i found the used oil pan for 500kr, 45 ish euro, so at that point its better to use a good used one :)
