OMG Cass, your garage is nothing compared to mine. I have such a hard time going in there. I get a lot of anxiety just thinking about all the junk I have there. My days are never the same. So it's not like I can work on it everyday. I thought about going through a box per day. Ha, yeah right! By the time I get home, either it's too late or I'm too tired. Having to wake up at 3 am everyday, seems almost impossible to ever finish it. I go to church on Saturdays all day. Sundays are the only days I have to do everything around the house. I am so overwhelmed 😢😬🙈
Golf. Lol. A friend and I walked onto the golf course to see our husbands. They offered to let us tee off. I swung and hit the ball as hard as I could. We could not see where the ball landed. Lol. It was in the cup--a hole in one. I will never hit another and ruin my record.
Congratulations!! My mother in-law wanted to golf one year for her birthday. Neither of us golf but my husband, her son, does. Well… we couldn’t hit the ball over the water so I told her we’ll just take a scratch, go to the other side and hit from there. Husband threw a fit and said we couldn’t do that. I told him this is her birthday and she can do whatever she wants🤣🤣🤣🤣 He gave up on trying to teach us! And the other funny thing was Mom picked up a ball and brought to him. She said I found this over there😂 He said he’d never take us again. Bahaha!
The other thing I would suggest (I know it's weird, but it works) if you are going to park your car(s) in there as well, is to either put colored duct tape down or paint the floor with lines for each parking space. It is amazing how trained we are to not leave junk in a "designated parking spot" by just the use of tape on the floor. 😃
We do this all the time at work so that we don’t put equipment in front of electrical panels (for example) but I never thought of doing it at home. Excuse me while I go paint a park zone for my vehicle! (Including some extra space to open and close doors!)
Joe is so nice. My husband told me to get all of my.sh** out of the garage. I did and what do you know the whole mess is his! He now has a visual of his own creation!
I was so excited for this. We are tackling our garage this weekend. THEN I saw your garage… Girl; we can’t walk through our garage or park our car inside. We are not the same! I hope my “after” looks as good as your “before”.
At the end I was internally screaming at you to please put helmets on! I love how up for anything the two of you seem, great to see a couple having fun
You just brought back a beautiful memory of all the neighborhood kids rollerskating in "Grandma's" carport. She parked outside of it all summer just so we could skate! Miss her. 😢💗
Garage, hacked! In a little over half a day, with a really good friend who has a really good brain for three dimensional space, We donated a bunch of stuff, we dumpstered a bunch of stuff, And now I have the room to organize a bunch of stuff. Even with my car in the garage, I have room for a 6 ft folding table on which to sort stuff. And you gave me the ignition, Cass!!!
Love seeing Joe. I laugh when people complain about how hot it is and it isn’t even 90 degrees. Where I live, it’s 89 degrees at 9 AM. It will be 108 degrees today - that’s hot.
@gaylefurlong9840 We got that humidity & heat beat. We now live on the old family farm/tree farm down in Huntsville, in southeast Texas. We lived in Plano up yonder for 30 years. It gets hotter, sometimes much hotter (110⁰+) in the DFW metroplex area, and any humidity makes that worse, but geeze, the humidity in the middle of a forest with coastal inflow is stifling. We get temps up to low 100's occassionally, but when that joins forces with 98% humidity and no breeze, it can literally be difficult to breathe. The only benefit of humidity I can think of: its great for a complexion. My mother-in-law never had a wrinkle. 😄
I got up before the sun and it was already 84 with the humidity at 87, but at least that was down from the a couple of days ago when the humidity was at 97 (temp 82). It's a daily reminder of how much of this area in NWFL used to be a swamp. I just keep reminding myself that at least it isn't southern Texas.
I thought of you today while reading a news article about an amusement park ride that got stuck in the air with people hanging upside down. They interviewed one of the people rescued (thank God no one died or was hurt!) and he said a tiny woman firefighter came to rescue him, and said don’t worry I’ve got you. He goes, are you sure? lol and he said she picked him right up, and rescued him. I thought of you picking people up like that saving lives. Good for you, what an awesome thing. ❤
Looks great, but unfortunately, most can't afford to spend 4, 5, 6+ thousands of dollars to organize their garage. Would love to see a much much less costly solution. Always enjoy watching. Love the ending.
It’s really difficult for us to justify spending money on our garage when we need to prioritize so many other things. So we have mismatched shelving and mismatched totes I bought off Facebook. It’s not pretty, but it works.
restores are a good starting space... thrift stores looking for cabinets and furniture, hooks... screws/nails, totes etc to hang things on the wall. you could also bring a table etc repurpose existing furniture, find curbside or garage sale finds...there are many options... everyone's budget and needs are different. if you can afford to ... buy all nice matching things asap... for most of us yup we are doing it a little at a time. I even put a few things I made in HS into the garage as storage units. easy to make shelves w brackets and boards as well. we repurposed a wrapping paper tote into a tall tote for handled tools/snow brushes etc... I also chained some trim, wood etc between the 2 x 4s in the walls. When sears and target left we bought a few clothing racks.. plan on having at least one in the garage to hang stuff off of. inside they make HD drying racks/seasonal coat storage etc. we've schlepped the same wire closet units from aptss, a townhouse, and houses for more than 25 yrs... some will become shelves for a future greenhouse. door rack wired storage units I used to store cleaners etc on the closet doors are in the garage instead of the house for whatever.
Love watching your videos - suddenly wondered - do your kids help you out in decluttering, and do they proactively keep up with your systems - of the house / their rooms? Would love to see videos of encouraging or supporting children to organise / participating in the declutterring / zoning process.
Pretty sure I've seen a load of videos with her kids and other people's kids, giving their bedrooms makeovers (after decluttering them together) over the years... But I've been watching Cas since the original channel, when the girls were toddlers lol.
As the keeper of a "smaller" 2 car garage with all the quick access tools for cars, woodworking, & other power tools, we're definitely after the project organizers as well. I'd LOVE to see the shop organization!!
I loved watching you try to pick up the goalie bag. My son played goalie for years and I actually had to fly with it down to Hawaii to give it to him when he was in the Air Force stationed there. A lot of guys asked me if I needed help so that was nice.
87 degrees 😅🤣😂 I'm in Central Texas. 87 degrees is nice spring. We're in the hundreds, with high humidity, the garage will wait until winter. When you Canadian guys talk about looking forward to summer, I'm jealous. Patio time here is February through mid May. Love you guys!!!
That's one of the reasons I would never choose to live in Texas. I moved back to PA after living in Buffalo, NY for almost 30 years. I'm not that far south now, but miss the Buffalo winters. And I laugh when my friends here complain about the cold and snow.
most of the week its been around 33C or more... =91.4 F. Ontario is under a heat dome and daily heat warnings... plus high humidity.. we got a lot of rain it temp cooled it down ... but still just a lot of hot air. my optimum range is 23C LOL. I don't like the cold nor the heat.
"Let's just burn it all to the Ground" Seriously the most encouraginh thing about this is that a professional organizer doesn't have a perfectly organized garage after just moving in and having ALL THE SPACE - that leaves some hope for me👌🏼
It's a matter of perspective. I didn't think it looked that bad myself, but if you've got the ability to do significantly better, it's going to look like crap.
The size of the garage is amazing. We’ve never put a car in ours but it is much smaller. Well done on get everything done. Yer Team work is great. Have a great week. Mary, Joes wife 👏👏💪👍🙏💐
I would kill for a huge garage like that!! Come to think of it, having a great guy like Joe would help too! Ahhh, one can dream. I’ll crawl back into my cluttered hole now lol. TYFS ❤️🦋💜
I live in SWO as well, and that 10 days or so specifically, *YES OMG Devil's Armpit 1000%.* I literally covered my windows with paper flyers to make it cooler. It worked, but it looked like I was up to something nefarious from outside LOL.
Great to see Joe. You two are so cute together. He was very cooperative. Love the your a fire fighter quote when you made the I’m a girl excuse. 😂 he got you there. ❤
Only watched a few minutes of this before I had to say, Cass PLEASE do a video showing you rolling around your garage in those light up roller skates with full fire fighter gear on!!! Please please pretty please!! 🤪🤣 xxxx
Seeing you talk about the rollerblade toy reminded me that In the late 80's I was the DJ at Kate's Skating Rink in Rock Hill, SC. My sister worked concessions at the same rink. These were our part-time after normal work gigs. Lots of fun. The manager of the rink gave skating lessons to adults before the place opened to kids and my sister, Debbi Hyatt, got the wild idea and she and I should take the skating class together. So, since I loved my big sister, I signed us up. We were in the middle of the first class when one of the other adults went down and broke her ankle and EMS had to come cart her off to the emergency room. That was the last skating class we ever took. Thank goodness you and Joe both survived the rollerblade/skateboard challenge at the end.
I would love a video with more details on how to organize for the space not your stuff. How do you pick a good system if you’re not considering your stuff?
I try to just maximize storage by looking at wall space and generally zoning the space. In the garage, I know I needed a wall for bikes, a wall for sporting equipment and a space for hand tools and car washing stuff. Once I dedicate a wall or spot for each zone, then I think about how to get as much storage as possible to fit that category. In the past I would have organized for exactly what I have right now, but what happens if one of my kids starts playing baseball? Or what if we start playing tennis? When you setup a general system that just maximizes space, it's easy to adjust the items on the shelf.
Awesome job! My one car garage is way worse but I will get organized soon, you are right about putting it in sections. You two better donate the skateboard and the roller thingie you were on😂😂 you both are lucky you did not fall and break something 😉
What a great example of how a space that has no storage system easily becomes the dumping ground. That system you guys installed is amazing! What a great result Cas❤
I have never “loved” a garage before… Until THIS ONE!!! U R so right, when “things” R organized & a place for everything, IS THE BEST IDEA!!! Now, instead of months to do this job @ my house, thinking it’s going to take ALL SUMMER, it’s not!!!! Thank U So Much!!!!
My hubby and I are regularly sorting stuff in our garage. We are slowly winning. Soon I shall be able to park my car in there too. We are at the beginning of winter so I'm very excited!
My husband was a demonstrator at Hamleys of London back in the mid 2000s. His job was to roll around on those shoe skates and playing with toys all day. 😂
Thanks for the motivation! I watched while my family was asleep so didn’t want to make a bunch of noise. I still found 6 things in my bathroom to declutter!
I love what you did, but what about a completely different situation. We have a small one car garage. It's actually so narrow that we can't fit a car in it. There is a water softener, our freezer, and 2 gun safes (hubby hunts) in this tiny space. We also have 3 kids. So if you have all the same stuff that you have (plus hunting, fishing, camping stuff), but a very small budget (Elfa isn't an option) and very little space - what do you do? I'm very organized, but hubby and kids aren't. And there just isn't enough space for even the basics (bikes, tools, etc). I've tried, but there isn't anything else to declutter and it's just too small.
*That’s* a disaster?!?!? I’m pretty sure if a whole family squatted in my garage it would be months before we noticed.
Same!! lol 😂
That garage is bigger than my house. I thought that was quiet tidy
Hahaha right!? Same!

Loved the Cas and Joe Show! Great video, amazing equipment, and, all in all, very funny.

Glad you think so!
You just brought back a beautiful memory of all the neighborhood kids rollerskating in "Grandma's" carport. She parked outside of it all summer just so we could skate! Miss her. 😢💗
My mother used green stamps to buy a pair of skates which she made into two skate boards! Circa 1960ish! She was the BEST! ❤

I ❤ this side of Joe! I feel like he’s always so quiet! He’s probably over excited because you guys are organizing the garage which is a man space.
So true!
That garage is awesome!!
I love it!
I just cleaned and organized my garage today😀. Love that elfa system!
The best!
I wish you'd show us what you decluttered. Love the video
You guys are so cute and fun couple 🥰 ❤
Aw, thanks!
My hubby and I are regularly sorting stuff in our garage. We are slowly winning. Soon I shall be able to park my car in there too. We are at the beginning of winter so I'm very excited!
You can do it!
It was fun to watch you and Joe together. Great job on the garage!
"Let's just burn it all to the ground" I resonate with this so much 🤪
Lol!
You two are so cute together!!
I cannot wait you are the best
Thanks!
My husband was a demonstrator at Hamleys of London back in the mid 2000s. His job was to roll around on those shoe skates and playing with toys all day. 😂
Sounds like a dream job!
Thanks for the motivation! I watched while my family was asleep so didn’t want to make a bunch of noise. I still found 6 things in my bathroom to declutter!
I’m loving y’all’s teamwork when it comes to you and your husband
Yay!
You two are so cute poppin wheelies together!! 🛹❤️🛼
Glad you think so!
"Firefighter gear- hehehe!" You are too cute!
Glad you think so!

Thanks so much!
Ok everything about that was awesome!! I love Joe. The Joe cam and him using your words!! Cas you guys are amazing ❤
Glad you think so!
Would the two bike racks work better if they were placed back to back, so that the bikes will be parallel to the wall?
Hey, maybe!! I'll try it!
