I didn't know about Limber before you showed it. But now i really like it. And I think I don't fear character animation so much when I tried it before. Thank you for tips and videos, John.
Opened my eyes to what's possible with Limber. I've been doing Motion Graphics for a while and ready to dabble with Character Animation. Happy to find a content creator that has fully fledged tutorials that are easy to follow. Thanks!
surely opened my eye, but this whole process flew over my head because i just started, then I have the limber plugin, but haven't used it before. would really be great if you can do a step-by-step approach for your video, so we can do it along with you. You are a pro, some of us find it hard to catch up 😄
Love this video! Please do more of these. I want to get to a point where I'm comfortable enough to tackle any type of character job and these videos are getting me there.
And thanks for supply the outline artwork!
Yeah this video was great, I personally learned a lot and slowly Limber is becoming less daunting thanks to you. I truly hope you keep producing your superb content. Invaluable to me and Im sure many more 😊
Thank you! Just what I needed for some of my projects. You are a scholar and a saint!
Excellent, helpful techniques! I was unaware of these possibilities. Thank you for sharing!
These are the kind of comments that I love to hear!
Bought Limber after I watched your videos.. it's amazing.. I still need so much training.. thank you for your advice.. I was trying to learn Duik but it takes eges to finish the rig.. Please make videos about head turns and hands with fingers.. you are amazing.
This video was amazinggggg, more than a lot of courses

Glad it was helpful!

BANG ON!!!!
You the sole reason I bought limber was leaning towards rubber hose 3 but after watching your vids limber seems way better thanks for all the info
LFG!
Thanks a lot!
Welcome!
Very informative tutorial, I have a case where the character is made of lines.
Thanks for this, l'm Always afraid of moving characters, I'm going to try this
Really great video, thanks for the tips!
One thing, can you normalise your audio as I was jump scared a few times when a few of your clips had louder audio!
awesome video please can u show us how to deal with some gradient layer characters :)
So Cool! Still can't wait to see your tutorial on Duik Angelo, any news about when it will be released?
It's coming, but its going ot have to be delayed a little bit.
Goood stuff
Excellent video. Thanks and well done. Would definitely love to have a tutorial on what you mentioned at 12:52
yes please
supe cool, do you have a tuto to explain how to customize taper limber ?
Asante Bwana
Is it possible to create characters with Photoshop layers with Limber?
Thanks for the video but Limb Library panel does not appear when I click import library. I do not know what mistake I am doing. Any help please. Thanks.
i like you thanks
Thanks for liking
Anyone know why the option to download the library would be grayed out?
@thekeyframeacademy can you export controllers to other compositions?
Yes, but you'll need DUIK for it, or Rubberhose.
I tried the 3 Circles method you gave, but when I did it, the rig not only did not properly work as my calf and thigh were not connecting to the circles, and my circles grew to abnormal lengths for some reason. I use AFter Effects 2020. Why were my circles not rigging?
I signed up for an email, but I can't get a take sahpe
What plugin is Take_Shape ? I can't seem to find it but by the looks of it it seems very useful haha
Also what is the other plugin on the left side that starts with MoB... Also seems useful from what i can see😂
Thank you so much for your videos they are so useful.
Take shape is my own tool. The other plugin is mobar and you can get it here:
gumroad.com/a/575612019/ikizm (Use code: keyframeacademy for 15% off)
We cant buy your tool? Thanks again @@TheKeyframeAcademy
When i select my shoulder + elbow , and wrist and do rig with that three circles ( rig and pose ) those three ( shoulder + elbow+ wrist ) they're gonna disappear, why ?
Because they are replaced by the limb. Rig and pose is for attaching the sections between joints. So the bicep and forearm.
How heavy is limber? Meaning what is the toll on RAM? It looks like a memory eater, but I could be wrong.
RAM in AE is mostly about layers - the bigger your layers and the more layers you have, the more RAM they eat. So you should see more or less frames in your RAM Preview bar depending on that. Limber doesn't use any more of your RAM than any other layer with similar pixel dimensions.
@@animatabledotco good to know. Thanks
rig & pose option is not working
Is the limber license monthly or one time
Its a one time purchase
Is it safe to give our card information with limber site?
You neab on AEscripts?
@@TheKeyframeAcademy can we use gift cards?
@@bhaganiasaab5027 I'm not sure. I do not run Aescripts.com. You should contact their support.
@@TheKeyframeAcademy sir one more question make videos on limber like how to rig and can we make our own character?
How to use one walkcycle in other projects to save our time please make videos on these topics please 🙏
been trying limber and these presets but when i paste them, there is nothing in the visual, selecting > tranform > center in view / fit to comp doesnt show it either
also i cant get the wobbly limbs at all from this video ruclips.net/video/-CDyr2S6llA/видео.html
and how do i make a limb can go wobbly to both left and right? if possible, i want that for torso
What are you pasting them to? Its a little tough to know exactly where it is going wrong without knowing a little more detail about what you're doing exactly.
Make sure that when you copy and paste the preset, that you're pasting it to an existing limb. You also want to use the copy and paste function within limber, rather than the system copy and paste. (Ctrl + C/ Ctrl+v)
@@TheKeyframeAcademy ahh i was literally pasting them onto nothing, was hoping to copas (ctrl c v) to make duplicates. Left arm copy, paste then tadaaa right arm. i totally didnt notice that copy and paste INSIDE THE LIMBER. big thanks!
continuing that, may i also get help for the next few problems if you dont mind?
1. i cannot get custom artwork or limb presets to be wobbly, sliding "bone curvature" between 0-100 doesnt change a thing
2. probably the same problem with number 1.
i want to make a motion graphic to animate something like sticker usagyuuun which needs wobbly torso but i can only get limbs from the "new" menu inside limber to be wobbly which somehow cannot have its start/mid/end size edited, sliding the parameters doesnt change a thing, and the only change i could do to the default shape layer was increase/reduce stroke size which is not enough to copy usagyuuun torso silhoutte
@@telstraroenssel3701 Glad you figured it out. I'm not sure I totally understand your second issue. I suggest you join the animatable.co discord if you haven't already. Steve (the creator of Limber) is pretty active on there and will definitely be able to help you figure out what you're trying to do.
Why is Limber so laggy in AE?
I got Ryzen 5 2600
48gb ram
RTX 3070
That is an AE problem, not a limber problem.
@@TheKeyframeAcademy any tips how to deal with it? Like workarounds
For example isolating the character in some precomp or working with minimal colors and effects on the early stage of animation.
I learned char. rigging from you made several projects already because of you. I stumbled upon limber coz of u. super worth it!
Keep doing whatever it is you do.
@@nikyabodigital turn your layers to draft. Or solo the layers you are working on.
omg...
Ayyo, You look like Dillon Francis
I think is too complicated for beginner.
