Tying the time-remap to the angle control blew my mind (maybe it's a basic thing?)! I've been trying to integrate more/more advanced expressions into things to make animation easier and I will definitely be using this!

Guys, the bit about all four shapes having the same number of points is REALLY important. Even if one sector of the unbrella originally looks like a triangle, there still needs to be a fourth point somewhere on the path, or the whole shape will go nuts when you start transforming it through keyframe copypasting.

This was so informative! Do you have any tutorials on linking path animation to a slider control? I'm trying to figure out how to do it without using any third party scripts. There's gotta be a tutorial out there on this, but I haven't been able to find one yet.
There is definitely a way to do that, but it requires some expression know how that I do not posess. I do this sort of thing ALL. THE. TIME. but I use slider controls from DUIK (free third part script)

Ok but do assume people dont have overlord, and cant get overlord without company approval which can be complicated.
Show your company how many hours Overlord will save you, and therefore how much $$$ that will save them, and it shouldn't be complicated.
