- In this video I will take you to the drive test route of Carrollton dps in Texas . This is only for people who wants to know the drive test route . I didn’t give any complete instructions or tips to learn driving . This shows where you start , parallel park , reverse ,lane change etc only in Carrollton dps drive test .

took the test 9/11/2024 and route was the exact same! for parallel parking it seems that they always try to use the third/last spot. the only thing that I got points off for was not looking enough left to right while passing any street that had an intersection even when the light is green. Also asked about turning right on a red and my proctor said to go with what’s safe and that they wouldn’t deduct me if I did or didn’t. Good luck to everyone!!!
I just took this driving test today and everything was correct except the first major rode you run into. It's actually 50 mph and not 55 but the rest is correct!

Was it the same route as shown in the video?
i took my drivers test today, and it was pretty much the same BUT the first access road is actually 50 mph. there won’t be a sign and the instructor won’t tell you. I went 53 on that road and that’s why i failed
you went 3mph over and they failed you for that?
@@patrickstoffregen4020 yeah :( i also did i couple of other small things but that’s the main reason he failed me. Most DMV’s are super picky the first time you take your test, so you don’t get too cocky on the road and get into a crash.
@@kaidonpeterson2563 damn, that's fucked up. most cops wont even bother pulling you over for 5mph over let alone 3mph.

@@IOMNIMOMOM yep, just on that service road after the parallel parking the speed limit is actually only 50 mph so don’t go over 50 there

Card Master passed by first try! My instructor was nice enough to let me try parallel parking again even thought I messed up my first attempt. Everything else went smooth

Can we use the camera / video setting while reverse parking during parallel parking?
At 5:40 , it's a red light so are you supposed to stop fully before going? Also what do you do for the Yield sign?
Yes have to stop fully while it’s red . Yield to others such as bicycle , pedestrian or any vehicle and proceed when it is safe .
can u used some one else vehicle ? and if so can u used a truck or has to be a car ?
can I practice this route on the weekends when dps is closed? Or is it not allowed?
Yes you can practice on weekends
I want to ask from where does the test start. Is it from the parking lot or from the lane 1. Does the instructor come from lane 1 or from parking lot

No they don’t ask questions while driving .. they will only instruct you when you have to take the next turn

Yes in US we have to be always in the right
does anybody know if they'll fail you automatically if you hit the curb or cones when parallel parking?
Yes hitting curbs or cones will result in instant fail

Yes

Yes if we bump on the curb it is an instant fail

Do we have to parallel park twice or one time ?
If you park the vehicle correctly at just onetime it’s enough .. you may adjust the car to the position before changing the gear to parking
So do they make you park in a normal lot ?
They have a separate parking spot behind the dps building . You have to park in between the yellow poles

Yes you can do .

I remember 20 to 22 is what i drove .. still get clarified from someone else too ..

On the red light, your able to take a right even though the light is still red?
You have to come to a full stop though you are taking right and then turn right only if it is safe to do so

i used my reverse camera during parallel parking and wherever necessary still i'm not sure whether everyone allows it
