I literally cannot wait for you to take the Tool journey from start to finish. It's a wild freaking ride man so strap yourself in!
Love your enthusiasm! Every member of Tool is this focused every show. Every song. Every time. Spiral Out! Keep Going!
The enthusiasm is contagious. I feel like I’m enjoying it again for the first time along with you. I hope the entirety of the tool army descends upon your channel to show you some love. Can’t wait to see what we get to enjoy next!
Thanks Jake. I appreciate you watching. A lot more to come for sure!
Will definitely be here every single new tool song for you and probably my millionth time for each and every song but it never ever gets old. Gotta start with opiate their first EP
watching someone fall in love with music is a wonderful thing
Tool plays like the fate of humanity depends on it every show.
Every show
I usually don't like it when someone talks that much through a reaction, but you are an exception. You created a good time for us and I appreciate that.
Thank you for sharing your Journey with us man. You are a pleasure to watch!
Thank you for watching man. The pleasure is all mine!
Great reaction, TOOL never disappoints and I'm glad you are going back to the beginning. I'm here for the journey. Be warned tho, early TOOL explores the darker side of humanity as only TOOL can. Its raw, introspective, and in your face. You will also learn the many story lines of Maynard, his challenges, having kids, and the passing of his mother. Buckle up, because there will be head banging and there will be tears.
I can’t wait man!
Sweet!
And Danny was 58 years old during this performance!!!
Beast!
"Pneuma.. I have to look that up"
a few moments later
"I can't breathe" 😂
Current living GOAT
Hell yeah I'll be here for your Tool journey! Can't wait!
Start with their EP, Opiate. Then Undertow, their first studio album.
Got it! I thought undertow was the first but I guess it’s opiate. That’s where I’ll start
One of the best bands I've ever seen live. Saw them when they toured for Lateralus and they are nothing short of geniuses at what they do.
The synth you were asking about- in this song- is Adam (guitarist) with the guitar and a crazy pedal board. It's just so incredible to see live! I had SO much fun watching you watch this! You react to music in a very similar way to how I do, so I was constantly saying "I KNOW, right?!" and "Just wait!" like you could hear me. Lol! 😆
Didn't know Adam did that part on guitar! Thats some Morello level sound manipulation right there 🙌 Ty for the info 🙏
@@fishnolle Adam loves his pedals. Lol
You know during the studio version I wasn’t sure but during the live version I thought it could be a guitar, so thank you for clearing that up. And thank you so much for watching
DC NEVER MISSES A BEAT HES UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLE!!!
Great vid as always. Good idea to go back to listen to the old stuff. Can't wait ✌🏼🌀👁🧘🏻♂🙌🏼
I was in the 4th row, center, at this show. It was INCREDIBLE. I think this was about mid-way through their set. Danny is a BEAST.
Damn! That’s awesome man. Hopefully one day I can say I saw them live. Rock on brother!
@@anksreacts Here’s a recording I did of their final song, Stinkfist, at the show if you want to see the whole band: ruclips.net/video/JCtEA9e_wp0/видео.html
Pneuma = Spirit
Danny Carey is 60 years old and plays like he 20!
They call him The octopus!
Unfortunate enough to see tool live three times and they are hands-down the best fan I’ve ever seen in my life. And I’ve seen a lot of great bands.
From the Rolling Stones to Eric Clapton to Metallica to Alice In Chains
Damn! Some heavy hitters right there. I’ve heard that Stones( even for their age) and Metallica are both incredible live as well
I was fortunate to be at this show. One of a few I caught on that first leg of the tour in the fall of '19 before the world went batshit crazy.
Tool was my last concert before the pandemic and my first concert after the pandemic. I was going to suggest going thru their entire catalog in order but you already had that idea. Keep these Tool reactions coming.
I am a long time fan of TOOL - have seen them many times - just happened upon your Tool reaction video and Loved It! Spiral Out....
Thank you for watching Trish.
Love it !! I knew you would love this !!
Tempest is the one im waiting for
Listen to invincible. It'll blow your mind
Toolgasm
I love the side slap too. Every single view it is still great and such a boss move.
Bahaha sure is man. The no look is the best part lol
Watched all your Tool reactions. The fact you are starting from the beginning to evolve with the music brings back the memories made when I experienced the journey. Sub'd for your trip! Welcome to the Tool Army!!! P.S. Live shows are just as good as you'd expect, full experience! Let's do this!!
Thank you!
I tried telling you that right away! You need to start from the beginning! Glad you got it now 😆
Yessir! Finally realized I was sorta doing it wrong lol
Going on the Tool journey... hold on to your butt, you're in for a ride.
Bro your reactions of TOOL are infectious! So cool watching others discover the talent of this group that I've been crazy about since their beginning. Highly agree you start from the first album and work your way forward. You'll discover crazy emotions as you move on. Spiral Out my friend!
Thanks man! I’m super excited for it
They do use a synth occasionally in the music, the trick is to know who is playing, if Maynard isn’t singing and Adam (lead guitarist) is playing its Maynard. Normally Adam Jones plays in their music he has one to the right of him when he plays.
Envious, with love, of your expression ability 🙏 Brings smiles and moments of joy everytime my friend, ty 💜 Keep enjoying the Tool sphere and live your best life ✌
Thank you so much, that’s very sweet of you to say. I appreciate you watching, keep on rocking!
Opiate is very very good but short I would suggest a couple of songs each video or do the whole EP in 1 video
Danny is classically trained. Legendary musician
Oh he is huh? Didn’t know that. It makes sense now
Hes 60 and drums have been pretty much his life since he was in probably grade school. He's got a college degree in music with a focus on Jazz percussion which for his use of jazz principles in tools music is a very large part of what makes them progressive. His style often feels almost improvisational. And when they do concerts basically he never plays a song the same exactly twice. You can tell as long as he's on his marks he can wander off and do whatever he as long as he's back on time
That’s awesome! I love it when artist can do that. That’s why there’s something so special watching them live
So glad you did this version as I knew it would would blow your soul. Peace/JT
This makes me happy. I can't wait.
Adam Jones jumps on a keyboard for a little bit for that synth sound in the middle
TOOL IS FOREVER!!!
Please do more TOOL songs. I look forward to seeing more of your vids
Yeah the guys in tool are the real deal; they sound just as good-or *better* according to some fans-live. You should also check out both the studio and live (salival) version of the song “pushit”
Love ur reaction brother. I was living vicariously through u watching this for ur 1st time
first time seeing your reactions. love the enthusiasm!
With the loss of the professor, the octopus is now the best drummer in the world
SSSuper!!!....from Rome, Italy 👍
Sideswiped that b**** I love that that was awesome!!!! 🤘
Im so happy you caught the no-look cybal hit near the end!!
Cymbal! There the word I was looking for but couldn’t find during the video. Bad ass right there
Im enjoying this so much, will be here for for the whole journey for sure :)
Can’t wait for the ride…..
I’m there with you on this journey bro. I’m excited for you! Buckle up it’s one hell of a ride🐰🧬
Tool is the best family ;)
Pneuma is spirit
I’m so glad I found your channel!!! Bomb reaction homey
Told you - Danny on drums 😄
I was a huge prog rock fan back in my college years (late ‘70’s). Just caught your “Firth of Fifth” (Genesis) reaction. Your comment on prog at 7 minutes there was dead on (multiple themes/grooves connected by seamless transitions).
Do you hear the similarities between Tool and prog classics from Genesis, Yes, Pink Floyd?
Agree this video of drum cam on Danny Carey is mind blowing. He was heavily influenced by Neil Peart of Rush. You should check them out too. Similarly brilliant instrumentally and in terms of composition.
Prog in all of its forms is quite the journey isn’t it?
Tool is the more modern version. Pneuma is my current favorite of theirs, though the rest of their catalog is about as brilliant.
TOOL and Ghost give the best live performances.
Ghost? Never heard of them. Maybe I’ll have to check them out.
You need to start with the 1st EP Opiate. Also be aware that TOOL has many songs that are meant to be listened to TOGETHER or at least lead into the next song.
Parabol/Parabola
Intention/Right in Two
10,000 Days/Wings for Marie
Lost Keys/Rosetta Stoned
Disposition/Reflection/Triad
Intermission/Jimmy
Probably more I'm not thinking of...can't wait!
Got it man! Thank you
Wow yes I'll be here for the whole discography!! Watching you enjoy something so much that I enjoy so much just brings me so much joy... if that makes sense.
Anyway you might want to start with their first release in 92 called Opiate EP.
Thank you for letting me know. So that’s their first official release. I thought the debut was called Undertow
@@anksreacts yep the first full and proper album was indeed Undertow but to get that record they were told to make an EP of their hardest most aggressive songs to drum up some attention. It's the start to their evolution.
Yea do all of Tool please!!!
I think everyone could use at least a little bit of Tool in their lives. We would all be better people I believe.
Evgeny Novikov from Slaughter to Prevail, Chris Adler from Lamb of God, Thomas Haake from Meshugga, Dave Lombardo from Slayer, Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater, Joey Jordison from Slipknot...
All good drummers I’m assuming. I already reacted to a Meshuggah song. I’ll have to check out the rest of these bands.
Saw them live in New Orleans in February.. greatest I’ve seen. Everyone was in awe..
Try Mr Bungle - sudden death
start with opiate!
ep
Have been waiting for you to do this!! Once again!!! Your enthusiasm and love for this band did not Disappoint!!! Well Done My Brother!!!!
Thank you for watching brother. This band is something special for sure
Couldn't leave you hanging on 666 subs bruh 🤘
Not sure if you're aware or not, but the lead singer has a couple of side bands he lead sings in. A Perfect Circle, and Puscifer. You could always intertwine some of their songs in between. Puscifer actually has a song about ayahuasca, lmao. Anyway. Enjoy the ride. Starting at the top is a great call. A lot of the first reaction channels of Tool jumped around a lot, but someone recently went from start to finish and I think it's a great way to appreciate their evolution and range.
Oh yes, I’m gonna react to something from both of those bands soon, I’m excited to see how he is with other musicians
Tool kills it every song, every time. Great watching you enjoy it brother.
Nice, I was hoping you would react to the live version
yo, 13:41. he smacked the shit outta that
Sure did!
yup
After you experience Tool live the studio albums just get you through till the next time you can see them live
Imagine the energy his body must burn and require to do two hour concerts night after night on tour and still be able to play at that level, it amazes me. I can trip over a crack in the sidewalk and half kill myself, ha, so I am truly in awe of his dexterity and how his brain works to multitask so effortlessly (though by this point in his career I'm sure so much of it is muscle memory).
My brain was having a hard time just keep up with what he was doing. And all I was doing was watching a video lol so I hear ya on that
Pneuma in the biblical sense means spirit.
All the other sounds created aside from Danny, is either bass with pedals or guitar with pedals. They create music that they can pull off live and not just studio. Kind of like rush.
Makes sense. I’ve only heard/seen one thing from Rush and they were kinda mind blowing. And TOOL sounds exactly the same live. Even with so many intricacies in their songs
I’m down fir going on the journey,
Can you try mr bungle also ?
No spoilers here! But that video is gonna be up very soon
Was I the only one whose audio and video didn't snyc up ?? The music was slightly ahead of the video, or vice versa..LOL
DC is is the best in the biz….. just saying 😎
i like it better than the studio version tbh
I can see that! But their studio productions are just so pristine! It just sounds so incredible!
Actually maynard is one of the best singers live. Most tool live videos have crap quality but the audio is always better than studio version
Just wanted to say, you’re my favorite part of my least favorite Spider-Man movie
Pls react 7empest ita gonna blow your mind!!
Now you know, bro.
🐙
Enthusiasm!
Great reaction. But your brain isn't any different than Danny's.. if you devoted your life to an instrument... really devoted your life... nothing else matters to you... you too could be just as great
Hey thanks for that man. That’s true for most things right? We just give up a little to easy.
@@anksreacts you can't give up ever. There use to be a guy who had guitar tutorials on RUclips. They were like 8 to 10 hours long. They were just him practicing one string at a time... slowly... and the whole time he would ask who is still watching? Most will quit. You can't practice an hour a day and become Hendrix... you have to commit. Quitting isn't even an option. Practicing is your life now. This is your life all day every day... after hours go by he'd ask again... who's still there? That's why everyone isn't a guitar god.... out of everyone... only a handful will truly commit.... but we are all capable.... find that thing you can commit to and live it
I can't believe you didn't make a bug deal about what he was doing during the fucking keyboard solo
