- We review a product from Shine Armor- their Fortify Quick Coat ceramic cleaner/wax. I'll detail why although the product seems OK, I won't buy it again.

Any “car care” company that starts off with “you don’t need to wash your car” as a feature should be an automatic deal breaker for those of us who DO care about our Z3s. I’d keep a mental bookmark to avoid a company like this and its ethos. (Regardless of how this test turned out) My ‘96 spent its first decade pampered with Zymöl wax and it served its paintwork well. There’s a time commitment to old-school waxing and now that the roadster no longer sees epic driving tours, I’m giving into convenience and using new tech like Turtle Wax’s Ceramic Spray; Apply after washing while vehicle is still wet, wipe away with one microfiber, final buff with a dryer one. Now that CeraKote has an automotive offering, it might be the basis for an overhaul next roadster season: wash, clay, polish, & ceramic coating. As for the video, it seemed to me that the driver’s side spray-test beaded up more uniformly and rolled off the car more eagerly.
Agree on all points and thank you for the detailed comments!
When I ordered it like 2 yrs ago gave me all these small bottles, claimed would cover up a clear coat area's,as did not also put test area on other truck stuff useless, I'd rather do normally done it on all my vehicles once year car polish and Mcquire gloss and looks like new paint job last great deal , wouldn't waste my money on this stuff lol
@unlimitedhardwoodflrs8292 agreed! The company makes claims it can't support.
I got ahead of myself and that crap cooked so quick into my car even the carwash wouldn't take it off
Sorry to hear that. It has been ok to use, but not particularly better than similar cheaper products.
Shine Armor is a complete FAIL, even the 4 step ultimate.
Never again!
Thank you Mark very fair evaluation...the company made themselves look bad...keep up the great videos kind regards...William
Thanks! Appreciate it!
Dont need a code. Pro detailer here and the meguires and turtle wax ceramics are no joke, and half the price of the snake oil shine armor garbage anyway. No surprise they are ending their influencer program lol.
Many durability tests have the blue bottle Maguires ceramic performing as good as some entry level coatings. The green bottle is good as a drying aid for a car coating in the blue bottle. Or if you wash regularly and use the aid every wash, which would be my recommendation, the green bottle would be all you need.
Never touch your paint before washing, i dont care what the bottle says. Even the best waterless washes are going to cause marring even if you only had a days or two of garage dust on them.
As always love the channel and videos mark, sorry they didnt show you any courtesy. I need to get my z's on here just havent gotten them quite photo ready just yet haha.
Snake oil, good description! Thank you for the detailed comments!
Hey! Think you can help me? I recently replaced the engine and transmission mounts. but now it vibrates more than before, it should be noted that it had not been changed in a long time, I already searched everywhere but nothing tells me anything concrete, I have the same engine, an E36 M44. Thanks for your help
Excuse the delayed response, what did you use for replacements? If you used a hard urethane, it may vibrate more.
Looks like an equal shine across the hood. I used Carpro Elixer on mine. Even after a polish, it upped the shine considerably. It’s also an Si02. A little more expensive, but I swear by it. It’s $21 for 16.9 oz.
Thanks! Exactly the comments I'm looking for!
😂The intro is pure magic
Thanks, enjoyed doing it!

Love the meguiars. We took our Z3 to the UK HQ in September and met with Dale for a Day in the Bay. It was a great day with the Meguiars team.
Sounds awesome!
What's the online homemade video award called?. Whatever it is I'm smelling one of those for this video!!
Thanks! I think it's called the "Homies".
My car is vinyl wrapped and that spray does an ok job of keeping it shiny as well.
Thank you, was wondering how that works with wraps.
Probably not good to rub in a circle swirl marks great review
Force of habit from the old days! Thank you for the kind words!
Greg ❤
Is yours a 1.9 or 2.8?
1.9 liters of pure power!
Brilliant intro! 👏👏👏🤣🤣🤣
Thank you!
love it!
Thanks for watching!
I have used shine armor and found a product called F11 does a longer lasting coating with the same amount of effort. Just saying!
Appreciate the info!
