Have you tried UpNote yet? What are your impressions?
The best app! For everything
I use a lot for the school and bussines
It help me a lot!
@@billfranciscotp1975 Glad to hear you found it useful!
Will probably try this week.
@@VoiceoverMomentum I hope it works well for you
I have been using upnote for a lil while now and it's really good , can you please tell me how to add a quote I'm having a little trouble with that 😅
I recently got the lifetime license. I love it man. So so happy, So many features and the sync between multiple platforms is cherry on top!
Glad you like UpNote. It is still my favorite note-taking tool a couple of years later!
Great video. This app and it's software looks like it might be the perfect balance for Google Keep and regular text file users. I'm giving it a try today/tonight on Christmas 2021 to see if it fits that bill.
So glad you found the review video useful. Hope UpNote works for you.
Was a heavy Evernote user(over 20K notes). Upnote is what Evernote used to be, and should be
I used to use Evernote as well and left many years ago, first to OneNote and then to UpNote. Evernote seemed to get really off track with their development, removing features I relied on and focusing too much (in my opinion) on physical notebook integration.
I love UpNote! Better than the bigger ones out there. Clean and user friendly.
I love UpNote as well, Jess. It is my primary notes program at present. Much cleaner than OneNote and Evernote that I used to use.
Thank you so much! I just bought the lifetime membership. Your voice reminds me of Neil Sedaka.
Glad you liked UpNote!. Thank you for the kind Neil Sedaka voice comment. But I won't inflict Captain Time karaoke on you... 😀😀
Can we use stylus in upnote?
I haven't tested handwriting with UpNote since my handwriting is so bad I always use the keyboard or take voice notes. You should check with UpNote support on this.
What are its pros and cons compared with Bear app ?
Bear is for Apple users only, so it isn't one I have tried. So I have no insights on that one for you.
There are not tables in Bear
@@peirato Thanks for letting us know. UpNote does support tables so that is a plus for UpNote
Wish we could share in cells in the table format.
Thanks - clear and informative. Great app as you say.
Glad you think so!
Please make video how to create knowledge system with UpNote. Thanks.
Here is a video on creating a personal knowledge system with UpNote. Enjoy! ruclips.net/video/-6che0eRV3Q/видео.html
do the bullet points toggle (collapse and expand) and can you zoom in to show just a parent bullet point and its children as if in its own document?
UpNote does have collapsable sections now, so you can have a parent section with bullet points and toggle the section. Not sure about zooming into a parent bullet point, but you can create background colors for sections. Reach out to UpNote support at support@getupnote.com for more in-depth help. Thomas (the developer) is very responsive.
Is this easier than Evernote? Will it work with Rocket Notebook?
Yes, I find it much simpler and cleaner than Evernote. I haven't used. Not sure if it works with Rocket Notebbook, but I use it on my desktop, laptop, tablet and smartphone
This was a great review, thank you. Are you able to upload pdfs into it?
Glad you liked the review, Steven. You can upload files into Upnote, either as a + then [insert file] or as a drag and drop.
@@GarlandCoulson I just bought the lifetime deal. It has been great and completely worth it. Thank you again!
@@crazyfresh04 Yes, UpNote is very affordable. Glad you liked my review.
Is There a way to have a to do item deleted once you check it off?
Not sure, I don't use UpNote for tasks - I use ZenKit ToDo for my tasks. Reach out to the support at UpNote and I am sure then can answer the question.
I know it’s not the same but how does it compare to Obsidian?
I only tried Obsidian briefly. The main difference is that Obsidian provides the mind map/graph view of your connected notes and UpNote doesn't. I do find UpNote a easier to use personally. So if you need the visual connectivity, Obsidian is your better choice. But I like the minimalist, yet full-featured approach of UpNote. A much nicer interface than OneNote.
Well after I found out there is no drawing, voice, email to note, or even reminders, I asked for a refund and got it. The developer informed me these features will never be considered or implemented.
These aren't features I commonly use for my notes. I do reminders within my calendar or task management system. Email to note could be useful. I do take voice notes in UpNote using my smartphone. Sorry to hear UpNote didn't work for you, but happy the developer took care of you by offering a refund.
@GarlandCoulson I should clarify reminders. I don't use a note app for all reminders but if I create a project or a note with a receipt or other attachments, I like to add reminders that specifically pertain to that note. I don't want to use a separate app for that. But I do see the appeal for upnote for some people. But Joplin has all the features I use in upnote plus about 4 more
How does it compare to Spaces and Ulysses
Sorry, I haven't tried either of those so I can't really compare
It's trialware limited to 50 notes, and then forces you to sign up to a subscription monthly model if you want to continue using or allowing you to export the notes you've already taken. It wouldn't be an issue, if they were forthright about their business model, but you have to go right into settings to see that this is trialware posing as a full program.
The devs should allow a one-time payment option.
It could be made more obvious, but most software now does have a payment requirement to use beyond the trial period. I do always look at the pricing before I test software so I know what I am getting into.
Meanwhile they offer a lifetime subscription.
can This app do mathématiques?
Not to my knowledge. I think OneNote is the leader of using math in notes. But you could reach out to the developer of UpNote. I have found him very responsive.
Hate the fact that there is no web application on their road map.
One of the drawbacks of a tool developed by an individual. Is there a reason you prefer web to desktop/mobile apps, Scott? Did you reach out to the developer, Thomas to see if he has plans for a web version? I have found him very responsive.
