One more disclaimer I should've mentioned since I'm starting to see some comments on this. I'm aware that not every gun in these trees can be converted with a simple receiver swap but I think it's likely we'll see them stretch realism a bit with some guns to make them fit into a tree.
I’m surprised I haven’t seen anyone talking about handgun weapon trees yet. Glock could have many variants - full size, compact, roni conversion, full auto conversion, 10MM conversion. P320 or P220 could have hammer/striker fired conversions, full size, compact, flux raider conversion, 10MM conversion. Revolvers could change to larger frames/smaller, larger calibers, different firing mechanisms instead of just a rotating cylinder. Lots of potential for handgun conversions here.
Revolvers are gonna be crazy, I'd personally like either a .44 or .500 single action that acts like the Ghosts .44 did with a 1 shot to the upper body in close range. Also would like to see 9mm, .50, and .357 1911s. Heck, even a double barrel 1911 would be fun.
While the SVD isn't mechanically related to the AK, there have been multiple military and commercial AK pattern rifles chambered in full size rifle cartridges. Like some of the Saigas and the Romanian PSL.
Don't forget the Type 81 line of rifles. Short stroke piston instead of long stroke, and also has its own varied calibers. Like the CS/LR14 battle rifle in 7.62x51mm and the Type 87, which was a stop gap variant before they adopted the QBZ 95, both of which are in the indigenous Chinese 5.8x42mm round. So it'd be nice to see that weapons family be shown. Even though it is a smaller one.
I hope that they can still add to weapon trees even after the game launches. If the Scar HAMR isn’t there at launch I really hope they add it in. I also hope however that they also add unique one off weapons too or a new tree of family of weapons. Imagine that season 3 they add a complete new whole family tree of weapons. A lot of content can come if they use their brains
They could even make the SCAR HAMR work like it does in reality and have the fire rate ramp up after firing for a while due to the operation going from closed-bolt to open-bolt. It might give some players post-BAL-27 stress disorder, but I think it’d be a fun idea to run.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Galil is a platform since the Negev (MG38) Is in this game, and I believe is a derivative of the Galil. It'd be cool to see the classic one as well as the ACE series.
Unfortunately, the Negev and the Galil are completely different weapon. My only best bet is that they have a base NG7 receiver and the NG5 receiver that fires 5.56. The latter will have a mag fed option since the NG5 has dual feed capability like the M249 and Fightlite MCR.
@@Immafraid i disagree, I know that Dragunov and AK are mechanically different weapons, but it doesn't change the fact that the former has the same controls as the latter, so it makes much more sense to put it on the Kastov platform.
I hope to see the FAL return. It would make a good Battle Rifle, could have a marksman variant, and could be adapted into the FNC (or original prototype FAL) for an AR. Also I'd love to see the Sig 550 return, along with the Tavor, Galil, G36, and the SA80.
The only complaints I see with the weapon families system can easily be solved after a day of learning how the system works and the UI which needs to be improved majorly. Overall it's a HUGE improvement on the insane weapon grinds we had to do in the last 3 games, while still keeping the camo challenges something I'd never put myself through outside of Cold War's zombies.
Coming from a more realistic and mil-sim background, the gunsmith, lowers/receivers/platforms, and progression or how to unlock certain guns or platforms was easy for me to understand. Can definitely understand where people would get confused though, takes a little more knowledge than other CoDs. The UI definitely needs work and is very clunky and inconvenient. Personally love the gunsmith and that there’s only 5 attachment slots rather than 10, would be interested to see how even 3 or 4 would play and a perk that adds 1 to 3 slots! 👍
the platforms were easy to understand once you find the progression tab in the gunsmith. The bigger issue i had was the attachments, which unlocks what etc. that was super confusing.
In general, the UI didn't show how to unlock things when you hovered over items. There were several attachments in particular that wouldn't say what variant was needed but those could've been lock out specifically for the beta so can't say for sure.
@@pricklycats that works for all of them. you start with one and then each one unlocks another receiver. it shows the tree on the progression tab at the top when lookin at a gun in gunsmith.
AUG platform is a must 👍🏻, one thing to note on the SIG MCX platform is that thay just released a gen 3 version of the MCX which replaces the Virtus, new name is Spear LT (not to confuse with its bigger brother Spear with its larger frame and higher caliber) and comes in 5.56, 300BLK and 762x39 calibers. Also don't forget the shorty 5.5" Rattler version of the MCX in 300blk which recently won a "pdw" contract for US SOCOM after going through 5 years of testing by US SOCOM.
The G36 family would be sweet, maybe the Tar or the Remington ACR family. I think they could do families of brands where you get one from that company say the ump then you go to another Heckler and Koch gun like a pistol or rifle from them. I'm sure they can't actually brand each one with the right name but they could fake brand it like other games do. Divisions the first thing that comes to mind.
@@TheJudoJoker Sounds good to me. You don't need them to connect by direct families and just changing recievers. Really it's the threading for the attachment and things like that. They should just have universal attachments that once you get it on one gun you get it for all the guns. It's definitely a bit of a cluster. We will see but they don't have that much time to change anything they already did besides tinker a little with the UI and things that only take a day or 2. The game is seriously out in 3 weeks from Friday with Campaign being ready a week early as well.
I think we need to remember some guns are basically just attachment swaps in the game's terms. The different branches are really trying to be different in animations or damage modifiers
Other gun conversions and ideas to add on: 3:35 IIRC someone’s made a 9mm conversion for the SCAR, so the SCAR SC could fire that instead of 5.56 if added. 5:25 I’m hoping that the Saiga-12 gets added to the Kalashnikov list, even if shotguns are an entirely different breed of weapon. The Saiga is based off the AK platform, after all. 5:41 I believe the AUG Para can use the .40 S&W ammunition type alongside the standard 9mm, which could maybe make the Para’s ballistics and damage tailored a little more towards mid range? Also, I believe there was a .300 Blackout AUG floating around at one point, but I can’t confirm this.
I believe one of the leaks showed off a saiga 12. I saw a single account that posted a bunch but got copyright takedowned not long after and I'm almost positive they showed a bit of it.
The Galil Family of weapons would be lovely to see since it covers Carbines, ARs, marksman rifles, and LMGs and the entire family covers a multitude of potential calibers
I’d imagine they will add whole weapon family trees as content if they aren’t there at launch if they don’t that’s a whole lot of content they are missing out on
The SIG MCX Speer is now known as the M5 to the US military; the Speer is the civilian version. The XM250 is now the M250, as the X designates "experimental"; the weapon is no longer experimental.
I'm surprised we haven't seen any leaks about a Saiga 12 or an AR-12, they're both shotguns that use the AK and AR platforms and it seems like such an oversight by IW if they weren't included.
There's a law in California that prevents weapons manufacturers from advertising real like weapon names, as it may "promote firearms to minors", so if the ACR does make a return, it will probably be named something different with no Remington engraving to be seen.
The Remington 870 is a pump action shotgun. It was in MW 19 as the model 680. The ACR would definitely have to be its own platform, but it would be really cool to see it return. I’m thinking it’ll probably be for DLC season.
I'm excited to see if they'll add new receivers or platforms over the season. I think I'd rather have 1 platform being slowly released over the season.(Also if they'll balance guns by giving and taking attachments since they aren't directly linked anymore.)
I think this type of gunsmith definitely increases replayability and player retention (more than SBMM bullshit ever could lol). I already know I'm gonna be trying every single thing in the game because I get really really bored using the same guns too much.
I'd like to see my motherland weapon trees, particularly the CZ 805 and Bren 2; however, I don't see many receiver options besides the two versions with different calibers for each. But the CZ pistols - there is a lot to potentially work with!
Best they could do with the Remington Model 700 platform is do different calibers and such, which could work, or have it work like it did in MW 2019, just earning the magazines
Would like to see different TAVOR weapons. There are variants for AR, BR & SMG categories. And would be nice to see Galil ACE family (5.56, 7.62 soviet, 7.62 NATO)
The Scar-H is definetly going to be a Battle Rifle like the G3 is for the HK33, so the TPR is going to be the marksman rifle of the platform, like the PSG-1 for the H&K roller delayed platform. The scar-Sc is going to get the same treatment as the Ak-74Su, as in, it's still an assault rifle, but a lot more maneuverable
As for the Ak tree, yeah they could go for the SVD, but they also could go with the Zastava m91, which is basically a bigger Ak that uses 7,62×54 rounds. The SVD isn't really a bigger Ak, it's a bit different, so to be completely accurate they could go with the m91
@@joshua3630 So is the G3. It will probably work similar to that, as in it is semi auto by default and kills in 2 shots, but can be switched to full auto and have a ton of recoil
i dont exactly like this weapon tree system. i feel like there will just be a lot of similar weapons to each other like this and would rather have the guns as one off guns like in all the other cods. plus the m16 sucks and doesnt feel like its own gun. imo the receiver weapons should be locked behind one gun in the gunsmith, like they are weapon variants, rather than inflating the base weapon count pool. so the m4 platform should all be inside the m4 (maybe u can make either the fss hurricne/mpx or the m16 its own gun). and for the ak platform, have the ak-105 and maybe the ak-74u as base guns, with the rest of them as receiver attachments in the gunsmith for the ak-105.
@@bobdarrick2628 | I had a really good time with the M16 in the beta. It can easily one-burst kill if you get one or two headshots, and a two-burst kill is very easy to get. I thought it was actually a pretty balanced gun.
The HK433 family could be in the game since we have seen in some screenshots the Kilo. Another weapon family we could see here would be the L85 family since we had the LMG version of it in MW2019. Plus from the weapon trees we had for the beta not everything was visible from those trees so i bet more weapon variants were hidden in the build like a 308 version of the M4, that could be the SR25 still in use in the military until they faze it out with the HK 417 BR and Marksman rifles. We can only speculate and hope some of the weapons we want in the game are in it, but until launch we know nothing about the full weapon list of MW2
This may seem overly simplified, but I'd suggest illustrating the Receiver selection itself. I talked to a lot of people in Lobbies who weren't exactly sure why they were progressing to the next gun and that was because they didn't know to CLICK on the receiver option. I know that sounds overly simplified, but I rarely see it illustrated in videos.
I suspect we will be seeing some sort of PKM variant in the AK tree, because fun fact the PKM is essentially an upscaled AK that is flipped upside down!
Probably a stretch, but maybe even an RPD. I'd like to see how they balance ballistics between 7.62x39, 7.62Nato and 7.62x54R weapons against each other, so it'd been neat to the RPD to throw into the mix for belt feds to have all three cartridges with different characteristics. Doubt they'll go there, but I can dream.

I think there could be a one category tree for instance an hk mp5 tree. Like different models possibly like the integrated suppressor variants or mini variants, or carbine ones even.
@@bobdarrick2628 Battle rifles fill the role between an AR and marksman rifle. I expect the battle rifles to be high caliber weapons capable of automatic fire, compared to marksman rifles which will be more like fast/light sniper rifles with smaller one hit kill areas.

As a result, Battle Rifles were relegated to DMR roles (where optics are more commonplace) But today, with advancements in body armor, the benefits of ARs are diminishing. Scopes, however, are very cheap to produce now and the US Army thinks its now time to return to the old Battle Rifle days to respond to body armor advancements and longer engagement distances
I'm excited to see the various marksman rifles/crossbow & snipers, & also how they will implement the more niche weapons & pistols which will became a major thing in the DMZ mode if you can't have overkill because you essentially start with your loadout without perks

The FAL can have a weapon platform in game, the base being the regular FAL in 762x51 in the Battle Rifle category. There’s a model built by DSA arms that’s a marksman variant that can be used as a Marksman Rifle. There is an FAL variant called the FN CAL that was chambered in 5.56 that was technically a market failure, it could be used as an Assault Rifle. Edit: The M1 Garand could also make an actually very lengthy platform. Starting with the Garand as a battle rifle. The M1D could end up in the Sniper Rifle category. The M14 could also end up being in the battle rifle category with the M21 being a Marksman Rifle. I know the M1 Carbine isn’t a direct relative to the Garand but they’re similar enough with their rotating bolt assemblies. The M1 Carbine can offshoot into the M2 Carbine, and also the M1 Advisor Pistol.
There's a chance they could have an MCX LT in the sig category. Also unless if they were were to do this specifically I wouldn't be surprised if the AK12, AEK971 and A545 could be among the AK variants potentially.
Likely all the sniper rifles will be stand alone along with guns like the finnec (kriss vector) but I like the idea. Considering that it's near future based they can go a lot of different ways with experimental or even completely made up guns. They'll definitely need to get creative considering that this will be a 2 year project but it gives them room to get crazy with it and these blueprints hopefully are gonna be great....after all its still a bus7and they're trying to make money...

Why is the M400 Tread in the "Sig" tree? It's a 5.56 AR-15 (M4) platform. The tree isn't going to be a "Sig" tree, it'll be an MCX/MPX tree as show by the MPX in the trailers and a possible MCX SPEAR. With that being said we'll most likely get the normal MCX variants too: Virtus, Patrol, Rattler etc. The XM250 and maybe the MG .338 (Raal from MW2019) will most likely be in their own catagories bc they're their own weapon platforms. The reason we saw the Hurricane and Icarus in the AR/M4 tree was bc they shared the same lower reciever.
Correction: The SCAR-H is a battle rifle while the SCAR-TPR (MK20 SSR) is a Marksmen rifles The PP-19 Vityaz and Bizon are based on the AK-74 design. The SVD Dragunov on the other end is not related to the AK. The base M4 in mwII already has a SIG M400 lower. The SIG MG-338 (RAAL MG) was in some of the executions and promotional images.
Let me see the M14, M21, Mini 14, and maybe the M14 EBR. This is my favorite weapon platform and semi-autos actually felt really good in the beta, so I’m hoping to see this weapon tree or something like it.
The beta weekends were fantastic. So many great aspects. The gun trees confused me at first and my impulse was to stick to one weapon like I usually do. Suddenly, I’m trying all varieties that I usually don’t bother with and I’m having a blast. Can’t wait for full release.
I know THIS is a stretch. But personally, I'd love to see them flesh out the M14 and the Garand Action family tree. You could have the M14/M21 as a BR/Sniper, a Mini 14 as an assault rifle, and M1/M2 Carbine as a PDW/SMG and a Garand as a BR/Sniper. It sounds strange and not all of the guns share the same mechanics but THAT would be such a treat to people who love the Garand action and its variations. If the M14/21 is already gonna be in the game I don't see why they wouldn't do that to add more flavor to the game.
I’m wondering if camo challenges will apply to a family or to individual weapons. Even without the weapon family weapons there seems to be a ton of guns in the game. If the variants are included as individual weapons that will be an insane grind.
@@iceymatthome6860 Yeah I was just thinking about it and you are definitely right. I think the trees are less conversions (though some are) and more a manufacturer family of similar weapons. Plus they are in different categories in the game itself so they are considered distinct weapons. Long grind but that’s ok. I’d rather them include a ton of weapons and not restrict anything just for the sake of a shorter camo grind.
The weapon tree progression is definitely a response to Vanguard's ridiculous weapon grind. It can help unlock attachments for a gun faster as long as you stick to the weapon family. Camo challenges would be way too quick and easy if they weren't for individual weapons.
I think the AK and PP19 platforms will be different, especially with the amount of AK Platform Weapons we saw during the trailers and such. Also, if we see the SVD, i would personally expect it to be a part of the AS-Val and VSS Vintorez family of weapons, but idk for sure, of course. Just food for thought. Sidenote: The Fennec mentioned it was part of a "Fennec" Platform, which is strange to me because idk of any Weapons compatible with a Kriss Vector in real life and Weapons without a Family didn't have a Platform name... then again, the TAQ 56 (Scar-L) did NOT mention a Weapon Platform but we know for 100% sure that the Scar-H will be in the game as it was shown in gameplay recently. I really hope we see the HAMR as well, but who knows.

The sig family is a huge deal if they bring it cause it puts us in current times with weapons that are actively being used in the military. I like this system so much but like you said UI improvements are needed but I’m sure they will do that since this was a beta
The beta isn't actually a standard beta. They do it to get more pre-orders, not because they actually give a fuck about player feedback (they don't). It's not likely we'll see any big changes to UI or gameplay from the beta.
the XM250 was the RAAL in MW2019. And it's model, sound, and everything else is most likely in the game because some characters use that weapon in their executions.
Hey Ace, any word or idea of how prestigeing is going to work? Seasonally or player choice? So much information but haven’t seen or heard anything about how they intend to implement that system. My bets are on a seasonal but hopefully not.
If you haven't heard much about the system, it's probably going to remain the same unfortunately. Having to grind to level 200 every season just to get access to the season mastery calling card is byfar one of my least favorite design decisions in a CoD.
@@cadenyancey580 I mean you grinded for a perma unlock token when you prestiged also. I just liked the fact of having to reunlock everything again, seasonal ranks you keep your stuff. It just seems to have more variety than to just keep everything
I also hope that they'll add onto existing weapon trees for DLC weapons. Something like RO635 as an SMG on the M4 platform. It would be a fun way for some of the weapons to continue to evolve over the next 2 years.
I hope the Russian VLK 12.7×55mm Platform makes it into the game. It has three weapons which allow it to output tremendous Stopping Power to accommodate different playstyles. 12.7×55mm Platforms: VKS (Integrally Suppressed Sniper) Oden/Shak-12(Assault Rifle) RSh-12(Revolver) The unique trait about this platform is that it can be manipulated from a Sniper into an Assault Rifle, then being able to be converted into a high-powered Revolver.
a VEPR or a PSL would make more sense than the SVD as far as being in the AK tree goes. Those are actual AK designs, whereas the SVD is not (just looks like one).
I’d like to see some cz weapons. Though they are just standard weapon types. Could do a .40 or .45 pistol. And a bolt action rifle in some other calibers, maybe a 6.5 PRC or a 7mm-08 or something different. Cz do offer many weapon platforms such as a grenade launcher, shotguns and carbines. So it would be cool if they could expand on that
Theres other lmgs from the m4 family tree btw which is also another possibility for additional weapons as for the 74u it's an smg higher rate of fire then the assault rifle ak 47 as well as more mobility
I could see the Scar platform for sure, but i think itd make sense for it to be part of the FN Herstal family, cause they also make the P90, M240 Bravo, M249 SAW, F2000, and the Five Seven. Id also like to see the HK family include the UMP platform as there's the 9mm, 40 S&W, and 45 acp versions. Im curious though if the Desert Eagle's gonna have a platform as its got multiple calibers, 50 Action Express, 44 Magnum, which are just as simple as a barrel swap and using the right magazine, and theres .357 Magnum, so maybe like a higher rate of fire variation like in 357 Magnum in trade for lower damage, and vice versa for 50 Action Express or 44 Magnum for the higher damage, i love the receiver/platform system, im a gun nut that has been a cod fan since WaW, so a lot of this is easy for me to understand and im so interested by this stuff
I love where they are going with the more real-to-life receivers/platforms. Since this is a two-year game, I would like to see more variations get added as the game goes on. Maybe a .300 blackout SIG, or a .50 Beowulf M4?
My big hope is the AK family tree has at least one of Zastava’s AKs. I’ve got their M70 rifle irl and that thing is fucking fun to shoot and would love to rock out with that gun or a variant of it like the m72 LMG (Yugo RPK) or M77 Battlerifle (.308 AK) in game
*I hope the with the AUG they make it like in real life where the barrel length dictates it's "class". Normal and Carbine barrel for Assault, Long barrel for a SAW (make it open bolt too) and short barrel (and 9mm conversion) for the SMG.*
@@TheXclusiveAce I think that'd be incredibly stupid as a choice, guns with zero interchangeable parts being put together as a 'family' because they look similar or are from the same region defeats the point! @@GamesNosh Reviving after death in CoD defeats the point of realism. Yet it makes the game approachable. Likely the same goal with the weapon trees. To make similar designed weapons as part of the same tree so they are easy to approach and figure out.
Nice video. Here are my thoughts/opinions about the SIG Sauer rifle family: - SIG MCX Spear is more of a battle rifle than an assault rifle (it's chambered in the SIG-proprietary 6.8mm cartridge). - SIG M400 is an assault rifle (5.56mm) based on the M4/AR-15 family/uses the same receiver as the M4/AR-15.
looking forward to see what we can do with the Barrett MRAD, the base weapon or one of its variants is called MCPR-300 in a leaked ingame image I've seen recently, so I assume this one shoots .300 Win Mag or .300 Norma
The line I'm most excited for would be the SIG branch. There were leaks that the RAAL MG would be returning from MW2019 which is the SIG MG338 and would go after the SIG XM250 or just fit into the slot after the Spear. M4000 Tread sure would fit into the Battle Rifle class, the Cross I feel would be more into the Marksmen class rather then Sniper
I like the gun trees but the attachment unlocks need to be adjusted from the beta. On the m4 platform I could not get just a basic red dot sight until I unlock 2 other guns and leveled that 3rd gun several levels when all I really wanted was a red dot on my base m4
I love the receiver tree unlock idea. I enjoyed many things about MW2. I've seen the YT Twitch cod boys hating but I enjoyed the first little bit of MW & like where they're going with 2 so far.... Yeah tho, I like the tree/bracket system.
Considering the SIG 338 was in MW19, that may also be in a tree with M250. Also, the MK2 could likely be chambered in Snakshot, .357 Mag, .44 mag, .500 mag or 30-30. Doubt all of those but I'd keep an eye out for snakeshot in particular...
i dont exactly like this weapon tree system. i feel like there will just be a lot of similar weapons to each other like this and would rather have the guns as one off guns like in all the other cods. plus the m16 sucks and doesnt feel like its own gun. imo the receiver weapons should be locked behind one gun in the gunsmith, like they are weapon variants, rather than inflating the base weapon count pool. so the m4 platform should all be inside the m4 (maybe u can make either the fss hurricne/mpx or the m16 its own gun). and for the ak platform, have the ak-105 and maybe the ak-74u as base guns, with the rest of them as receiver attachments in the gunsmith for the ak-105.
I got a glitch on xbox that replaced all my classes with different weapons in the main menu but they reset when I went back into games. I don't remember all of them but I know the sig lmg and the sig m17 pistol is in the game
I do hope we see something akin to the Ripper, while not the best SMG by far and not the best AR by far it was always a fun weapon. Having a weapon tree composed of subpar but two part weapons would be amazing. This would also help combat the fact Overkill is basically a free perk due to the perk system in the beta. Last thing is they could absolutely make any gun have a tree, it is a game and they can make changes. Creating new weapons based on popular weapons is how you make something iconic new and refreshing based on realism but embracing the arcade nature.

I don’t mind this idea as it’s fresh and will change things up a little.. but the UI surrounding it in the beta was atrocious. It wasn’t obvious and lots of googling had to be done to figure out how to unlock the weapons.
One more disclaimer I should've mentioned since I'm starting to see some comments on this. I'm aware that not every gun in these trees can be converted with a simple receiver swap but I think it's likely we'll see them stretch realism a bit with some guns to make them fit into a tree.

I'm about to make you feel old; The G36 was designed over 30 years ago...
P10 Roni in CoD I hope to see it
Lemme get a glock in .45 and its wraps for everyone
While the SVD isn't mechanically related to the AK, there have been multiple military and commercial AK pattern rifles chambered in full size rifle cartridges. Like some of the Saigas and the Romanian PSL.
thank you finally someone who knows the svd isnt an upscaled AK
Could also just have a kitted out ak74 to be like a DMR
It would be cool to see a Zastava M76, chambered in 8mm mauser, in the ak family tree
@@hivanberg3681 Same as the pp variants, they aren't that related to the AK family
This system does have immense potential for later additions.
They could even make the SCAR HAMR work like it does in reality and have the fire rate ramp up after firing for a while due to the operation going from closed-bolt to open-bolt. It might give some players post-BAL-27 stress disorder, but I think it’d be a fun idea to run.

Big agree
I sure hope so! The Galils are some of my favorite derivatives of the AK platform.
Unfortunately, the Negev and the Galil are completely different weapon. My only best bet is that they have a base NG7 receiver and the NG5 receiver that fires 5.56. The latter will have a mag fed option since the NG5 has dual feed capability like the M249 and Fightlite MCR.

I don't understand how people had a hard time unlocking the FFS hurricane. I just automatically had it right away by playing.
After googling apparently you have to use the FTAC Recon to unlock it so that explains it since that's one of the first guns I used lol

What would you think about including the HS Produkt VHS2 in the G36 tree? They're not really related, but the VHS2 is a G36 inspired bullpup
Other gun conversions and ideas to add on:
3:35 IIRC someone’s made a 9mm conversion for the SCAR, so the SCAR SC could fire that instead of 5.56 if added.
I saw a single account that posted a bunch but got copyright takedowned not long after and I'm almost positive they showed a bit of it.
the SCAR SC fires .300 Blackout, not 5.56

in MW2 the ACR had the word Remington on it and i’m pretty sure there was a leaked remington platform
I think the ACR and Intervention may not show up do to rights issues.

This system works so much better because you don’t have to waste an attachment slot on the caliber conversion like in mw
Yup, I bet slugs are gonna be "receivers" and I'm gonna enjoy that extra attachment option for a sniper build.

This why I go for the mastery camo. Playing with the same weapons all the time makes the game so dull.
I'd like to see my motherland weapon trees, particularly the CZ 805 and Bren 2; however, I don't see many receiver options besides the two versions with different calibers for each. But the CZ pistols - there is a lot to potentially work with!
Ace, take a look at the Remington model 700 platform. Lots of variety there and it matches the SPR and the MSR we've seen in trailers
Best they could do with the Remington Model 700 platform is do different calibers and such, which could work, or have it work like it did in MW 2019, just earning the magazines
Well, you can see in the reveal trailer that Ghost is holding an SPR, so it's more likely that it will return from MW2019.

"assault rifle" = a select-fire rifle that shoots an *intermediate cartridge* (e.g. STG44, M2 Carbine, AK's, AR15's, G36, FAMAS, AUG, SA80, SCAR-L, SIG MCX)
"Battle rifle" = a self-loading (not always select-fire, mind you) rifle that shoots a *full-powered cartridge* (e.g. M1 Garand, BAR, Fedorov Avtomat, SVT-40, Gewehr 42, FG42, FAL, M14, G3, SCAR-H, ASh-12.7, SIG MCX Spear)
this category is necessary and appropriate for a "modern" warfare game because the US Army has recently signaled a shift back towards Battle Rifles being the standard (with the MCX Spear, or M5 Rifle), and it is a good way to make sure guns like the SCAR-H or ASh-12 (the "Oden") are viable without having to be constrained to an AR's damage model
The main reason AR's were normalized was because the lighter weight allowed for greater volumes of fire and controllable full auto (back then body armor was not commonplace), also too back then optics were not standard issue, so range was limited. As a result, Battle Rifles were relegated to DMR roles (where optics are more commonplace)
But today, with advancements in body armor, the benefits of ARs are diminishing.

Tavor family should come too. X95 or OG Tavor first, 7, 9mm, 300aac would all work
I would love a G36. There are enough varients to fill a weapon tree.
But they have all the same caliber and are just the same weapon with different barrel lengths and mounting options.
i dont exactly like this weapon tree system. i feel like there will just be a lot of similar weapons to each other like this and would rather have the guns as one off guns like in all the other cods. plus the m16 sucks and doesnt feel like its own gun. imo the receiver weapons should be locked behind one gun in the gunsmith, like they are weapon variants, rather than inflating the base weapon count pool. so the m4 platform should all be inside the m4 (maybe u can make either the fss hurricne/mpx or the m16 its own gun). and for the ak platform, have the ak-105 and maybe the ak-74u as base guns, with the rest of them as receiver attachments in the gunsmith for the ak-105.
@@larsgleisberg1611 my best bet if they ever bring back the Holger, its family tree will include
• G36C (with the option to use the AG36 and M320 GL when using the standard G36 and G36K barrel respectively)
• MG36 (with Beta C Mag at base with the option to use box mags)
• SL8 (civilian G36 that fulfill the marksman role)
Correction:
The SCAR-H is a battle rifle while the SCAR-TPR (MK20 SSR) is a Marksmen rifles
The PP-19 Vityaz and Bizon are based on the AK-74 design.
You clearly like to get pegged bruh 😂
Almost certainly individual weapons. They r still their own seperate weapon all the receiver is is essentially a shortcut
@@dillonc7955 Yeah I think you’re right. I didn’t think it all the way through.
My bet is a hybrid version family share the base camo then weapons will have specialized challenges

Ralph said that not to expect any major UI changes and with the BETA being like a month away from release, I’m probably going to agree
the XM250 was the RAAL in MW2019. And it's model, sound, and everything else is most likely in the game because some characters use that weapon in their executions.
The RAAL is an MG338 firing in .338 Norma, and it's not part of the NGSW contract.
Hey Ace, any word or idea of how prestigeing is going to work? Seasonally or player choice? So much information but haven’t seen or heard anything about how they intend to implement that system. My bets are on a seasonal but hopefully not.
Also curious!
Infinityward isn't bringing back traditional prestiging you can count on that. Seasonal ranks is so stupid and lazy
The Barrett tree would be so fun
I also hope that they'll add onto existing weapon trees for DLC weapons. Something like RO635 as an SMG on the M4 platform. It would be a fun way for some of the weapons to continue to evolve over the next 2 years.
My best bet is that they have a 9mm conversion on the M4's magazine slot. It's just as simple as putting on a magwell adapter. Same deal with the AUG.
IWI weapon tree would be cool...Galil (which i think the AMAX was based on), etc
The Negev 7 is already in the game.
I hope the Russian VLK 12.7×55mm Platform makes it into the game. It has three weapons which allow it to output tremendous Stopping Power to accommodate different playstyles.
12.7×55mm Platforms:
VKS (Integrally Suppressed Sniper)
Oden/Shak-12(Assault Rifle)
RSh-12(Revolver)
The unique trait about this platform is that it can be manipulated from a Sniper into an Assault Rifle, then being able to be converted into a high-powered Revolver.
a VEPR or a PSL would make more sense than the SVD as far as being in the AK tree goes.
So it would be cool if they could expand on that
Yes! CZs 😊
That SIG tree caught my attention. The MCX spear is something I'd like to try in real life.
The battle rifle for the Sig tree could be the 7.62 variant of the Spear LT.
I hope they do the Sig platform well. They should keep the Virtus as it was in MW19 but they should make the Spear punch hard, like the SCAR H.
I love where they are going with the more real-to-life receivers/platforms. Since this is a two-year game, I would like to see more variations get added as the game goes on. Maybe a .300 blackout SIG, or a .50 Beowulf M4?
There is already a .458 AR that's basically the same as a .50 Beowulf
There's also a nonzero percent chance the saiga 12 shotgun is on the AK tree as well
My big hope is the AK family tree has at least one of Zastava’s AKs. I’ve got their M70 rifle irl and that thing is fucking fun to shoot and would love to rock out with that gun or a variant of it like the m72 LMG (Yugo RPK) or M77 Battlerifle (.308 AK) in game
The raal leg has been leaked which is the sig mg338 which is a bigger version of the m250.
Correct.
I wonder how this system will fit with the weapons we get from season passes in the future
*I hope the with the AUG they make it like in real life where the barrel length dictates it's "class". Normal and Carbine barrel for Assault, Long barrel for a SAW (make it open bolt too) and short barrel (and 9mm conversion) for the SMG.*
Actually making open bolts affect gameplay is super annoying. I hate when games do that.
...the SVD is not a member of the AK platform. It has a completely different firing system.
I'm aware. This is a video game and I think it's likely they'll stretch a bit in some areas to fit certain weapons into a tree.
@@TheXclusiveAce I think that'd be incredibly stupid as a choice, guns with zero interchangeable parts being put together as a 'family' because they look similar or are from the same region defeats the point!
Suggesting the SVD is extra silly, as the PSL actually is an AK platform marksman rifle and looks just like the SVD (which satisfies the casual crowd that isn't as picky as gun enthusiasts)
@@GamesNosh Reviving after death in CoD defeats the point of realism.
Yet it makes the game approachable. Likely the same goal with the weapon trees. To make similar designed weapons as part of the same tree so they are easy to approach and figure out.
Nice to see a gamer with decent firearms knowledge. I often hear many incorrect terms used by gamers, not you though.
Nice video. Here are my thoughts/opinions about the SIG Sauer rifle family:
- SIG MCX Spear is more of a battle rifle than an assault rifle (it's chambered in the SIG-proprietary 6.8mm cartridge).
- SIG M400 is an assault rifle (5.56mm) based on the M4/AR-15 family/uses the same receiver as the M4/AR-15.
I'm excited for the sig series. Would like to see the G36C have its tree because we have seen it as an lmg, AR, and smg before I believe.
Fingers crossed for Holger's return.
looking forward to see what we can do with the Barrett MRAD, the base weapon or one of its variants is called MCPR-300 in a leaked ingame image I've seen recently, so I assume this one shoots .300 Win Mag or .300 Norma
Family tree system is quite awesome and really loving it
SIG XM250 is the RAAL LMG in COD's world which is confirmed to be in the game and theres gameplay on it.
RAAL is an MG338 that has a larger caliber than the M250. However, you can expect an M250 receiver upgrade for the RAAL.
We might see FN evolys instead of the HAMR. Evolys was FNs NGSW bid for the program
The line I'm most excited for would be the SIG branch. There were leaks that the RAAL MG would be returning from MW2019 which is the SIG MG338 and would go after the SIG XM250 or just fit into the slot after the Spear.
M4000 Tread sure would fit into the Battle Rifle class, the Cross I feel would be more into the Marksmen class rather then Sniper
m.ruclips.net/video/kUgilXZwnSM/видео.html its in the game
I'd kill for Galil representation. Doesn't need to be a platform, it could just be the Galil Ace. The Galil Ace is the sexiest weapon ever made.

It's a nice solution for less pointless grinding. Plus it encourages players to use a variety of guns.
