Don't give up going to church Mr. Creekmore, everyone is a sinner even pastors and priests, and I'm sure you could find one speaking the unadulterated truth, there are brave pastors and priests that will speak the truth and lead correctly. I understand your frustration though. Visit 10 and maybe 1 is very good.

I don't go anymore because the law PUBLICATION 1828/501C3 incorporation of the church. I was a Minister. PUBLICATION 1828/501c3 makes the church a creature of the state!!! 95% of churches in America are incorporated creatures of the state! WE DON'T HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF A BRICK AND MORTAR CHURCH BUILDING, WE ARE THE CHURCH!!! These churches are replacing Jesus Christ with the state as the head of their church! They made a deal with the devil. Church isn't a legal entity, it is a spiritual entity... blessings of grace, mercy, peace, and love to all

When I was told I had to go on the computer and make an appointment for the church to pray for someone in my family I made up my mind that it really wasn't for me. The church before this, the Pastor was supposed to come to my house because of some serious issues going on in our lives and he kept putting us off because he was more interested in going to meetings to get money to build a big huge church. Then one of the ladies we went to church with got quite nasty with my 8 year old Granddaughter. That was it for me. I read my Bible. I Pray. I have been saved and Baptized. The Good Lord knows I love him and believe in him with all my heart. That's what matters.

I had someone from a church ask me to pray once, out loud. He said, "You can tell a lot about a person by the way they pray." Appalled by his audacity, I replied, "I'm sorry but I was taught that prayer is between you and God." Or something like that, I can't remember quite exactly but close enough. As the youth these days say, big yikes.
Edit: Forgot to mention, this happened when I caved to pressure to reach out to a "great church" for help. He didn't want to help after I refused his request but even if he had, I wouldn't have accepted. My beliefs are not for sale.

I don't believe in confession to men. That's a lot of trust that in times past has gotten the confessor killed. But I've seen people leave a confessional smiling and very relieved.
Go back thru and read Mark, in the gospels. There are many examples. From the woman with an issue of blood to the man casting out demons that wasn't an opostile.
Lately I've been listening to catholic exorcists and orthodox priests.

I had myself baptized at 23. I did start attending church at about my early 20's. I am 54 now, and no longer go to church. It's greed that made me leave. I felt like I was being given a sales pitch at church by a sleazy used car salesman. I understand their are bad pastors out there. But my second experience left me pissed. I joined another church and the paster wanted to send someone to my home to interview me and my then husband. I welcomed the idea, thinking they wanted to get to know us and see if we were interested in helping the community. Nope. He wanted to review our finances to suggest and appropriate amount to be donated to the church. Well. I told him to get his ass outta my house! And that moment was the end of church for me. I can be faithful, spirtual, and live a loving life without visiting a church.

My Pastor keeps bringing up that other churches “require” a 10% tithe, but ours does not, yet it has an $8,000 per week budget and is $678K in debt for a school it built. If I ran my household budget like that, I’d be bankrupt.

We feel the same way. Before the c19 virus, I had cancer. There were many who prayed for us and we are grateful for the prayers. But the true ministry to us was from the truckers my husband would see everyday. I will never forget that. In fact, one he only saw one day told him "She's got this! God is with her!" He never calls in the afternoon when working but did that afternoon and I could hear the tears in his voice. I need to hear that I was going to be okay and never looked back. Now that was true ministry. We have never really found a true church. We read "The Scriptures" and are looking at following Torah as Jesus did. There is a remnant that will do God's will and take a stand.

Find a good Messianic Synagogue online that speaks to you. Some are more "orthodox" Jewish in their rituals, under an attempt to attrack lost Orthodox and Ultra-Orthodox Jews. Some are more relaxed in their rules in that women can wear Tallits and kippahs and the home life might not be as strict, but still have the Hebrew and the English. My experience is that most Messianic Synagogues are respectful of how much or how little your Rabinical life is at home. This just isn't discussed beyond, be sure not to bring pork or other unkosher food to synagogue for oneg (where we eat food together after the service).
Learn the Jewish roots of the Bible. You want to have the whole Bible as apart of your life. I am a Messianic Jew who now goes to a Lutheran church, due to Lord leading me there for the sermons and because the route to my Synagogue was getting too dangerous. However, I watch several different synagogues online, depending on what I'm in the mood for.
Practicing Sukkot (can't translate into English, sorry), Pesach - Passover with the meaning behind it, is so awesome, because you can see where Y'Shua-Jesus is the messiah in the Matzo. There are some good books on the Feast of the Tabernacles. Sam Nadler, Stan Telchin, Barney Kasdan - are all good authors.
Some Messianic synagogues on youtube: Adat Yeshua Messianic Sysnagogue Norwich, Beth Hallel, Shuvah Yisrael Messianic Synagogue, Beth Israel Messianic Synagogue, and Mishkahn David Messianic Synagogue. Best Wishes!

Shuvah Yisrael is one of my fave for the litergy, as they show the hebrew and pronunciation on the screen in the video. They also have dancing which I love! However, Mishkahn David Messianic Synagogue, has some really good teachings about Answering Jewish Objections to Jesus. Plus, he teaches on the New Testament from a Jewish perspective.

The last church I visited had a women's Bible Study. When I went to Bible Study I was told to leave because it was a closed Bible Study. After that incident I never went back to church. God is sovereign and will not go back on his word once we're saved by Grace. The mark doesn't come until the last part of the great tribulation and we won't be here for that because we'll already be in heaven when Christ comes for his own.

I am right there with you brother! Where two or more are gathered in His name. I taught my children God watches us 24/7/365 not just for an hour or two while we are in a special building. My kids are now 32 (twins), 29 and 25 and I still get compliments of how kind and helpful they are; makes my momma's heart proud. Instead of tithing we put food in blessing boxes for needy families. We volunteer and help when and where we can. I am a do as I do parent so I started them early with helping hand out blessing bags to homeless, working in soup kitchens, donating new coats for kids in the fall, donating things to battered womens shelters etc. The Bible as it stands now isn't what was originally written. Too many folks changed it to fit their wishes and then you have the translation issue where again it's changed. I do my best to stick to the 10 commandments and just be kind and helpful. We each have to walk our own path to walk and I know He walks with me always. Many blessings to you M.D. Don't worry about the haters.

We gather in small groups in homes or nature/outside, as a small remnant of truth seekers. We have tent/camping gatherings in the forests, parks, off grid with no electronic devices. The primitive gatherings with no phones, internet, or distractions. Just worship in nature. Pray for peace...

Well said! I don't feel so alone in that I feel the exact same. I gave up searching in person for a church a long time ago. I read my Bible and I "talk to God" all the time, mostly giving gratitude for my blessings and asking for His protection and guidance. I feel and see God in action in my life and in the lives of others all the time! I have gone to many online services and recently found a preacher who isn't afraid to speak the truth! Finally!! He impressed me one recent Sunday by telling the congregation to prepare for the hard times coming and said he didn't care if it upset someone, they needed to be upset! Amen!!! There is also a preppers Bible study on @The Prepping Artists channel that has been awesome in recent weeks! God bless you my brother! 🙏🏻💯💪🏻🥰

I cannot find a church anywhere that will talk about the important issues of the day, and I’ve visited a lot of churches. Why are so many pastors so resistant to talking about the pressing issues? I’ve heard some say that they’re afraid of losing their tax exempt status, like you said. I’ve also heard that some pastors may be afraid of losing tithers. I sometimes feel like I can’t find any real Christians anywhere, even though I live in America. The American church is nothing like the church in the book of Acts.

Instead of tithing we decided to help out a single mom of two kids. Gave them a house free of rent, electricity, gas, water and about $400 a month of household stuff from Amazon. This went on for 6 1/2 years. She got into drugs, moved in her sister and boyfriend. We agreed to help her not the sister and boyfriend. We thought we were doing a good thing but she never got through school in 6 1/2 years. I tithe to gold coins now and stack them. And ammo. 😂😂

I used to go to this church and even help bringing vegetables to give away from a local store . at the end of the day what ever was left over it went to the dumpster. I asked the manager if I can give those vegetables to some people who can use them. The manager told me to give those people anything I want to give which it was nice of me to help them. The rumor started at the church that the HISPANIC IS STEALING THE VEGETABLES. I heard the rumor and went to the manager she told me not to pay attention to those gossepers and to keep doing what I was doing. Later a church member told me that if I wanted to keep doing this job I must cut my beard off I told him NO. Next thing I was kicked out

Good evening creekmore. I've been through the same struggles/ questions as you. Here's what I've learned. The preacher is there to bring and promote God's kingdom. Not the kingdom of the world with all its politics, jabs and endless quibbling and arguments. We have all week to fight the kingdom of the world battles. The church should promote unity within God's kingdom. The Bible tells us theres two very different and distinct kingdom's. Jesus said give unto ceaser what is ceasars Second, we go to church to worship God. When we start looking at the "hypocrites" around us we're no longer focusing on God which is why we are there. Let God deal with and judge the hypocrite. . I still struggle with this even though I know what I'm supposed to do. Third, if you believe God created the world, the mountains, the sun, moon, stars, and ocean's, I have to believe he was able to inspire kings, and other men to write his word down for us in a book just exactly how he wanted. It would have been an easy task by comparison to creation. Finally, it's not always easy to find a good church. I drive an hour and a half to get to mine if that's any indication. My wife is fond of telling me that if I ever find a perfect church not to go to it because I'll ruin it. Church can be a big blessing in many ways. Praying for you. God bless

I'll probably offend people but y'all can keep your "praise bands" that sing vapid, repetitive church-campy sounding songs with the lyrics up on a screen. These aren't even big churches, either. They're quite small, desperately trying to stay relevant any way they can. The congregation (even some of the older members) wear spaghetti straps, tight skirts, sports hats and jerseys...call me stuffy and a prude but if you're going to go to church, dress for it.

In reality if you walked into a random church uninvited, especially being a man by yourself it'll be very awkward and at first people will kind of make a circle around you, which is understandable. Just saying this as clarification, not as an argument. Everyone is not a child of God. The children of God are the people who have accepted Jesus Christ as their savior. Everyone can accept Jesus and become a child of God. Those who don't are making their choice not to accept the offering of Jesus as the sacrifice to atone for their sins (and everyone sins).

Hey man, ya' gotta' keep tryin'
I'm 60 and just 3 years ago I found a church that I even wanted to be a member of. It was a whole lot of churches along the way too.
I have long hair, have pretty much my whole life, I smoke, and I was not raised in a church family. Quite the opposite. So maybe you can imagine some of the flack I got. I would give up for a while, discouraged, and then eventually I would start looking for other places to try again.
I go to a little country church, called "Country Bible Church". It's a small church, maybe a couple hundred members, at most, guessing. Non denominational. Pastor preaches from the Bible. He reads from NKJ, but I have a NLT, and nobody has ever said anything about what Bible I'm reading, or about my hair or that I smoke. I haven't even gotten any funny looks from anyone, IN OVER 3 YEARS.
I was baptized in a small local lake in the summer, after my first year here, and applied for membership after my 2nd year, and now past 3 years. It took a long time, and a whole lot of discouragement to get here, but honestly I'm glad I kept tryin', not that it was so hard to get here. But if I would have totally given up, and not started looking again, I never would have found this place. "I drove past this church for over a year, procrastinating, thinking "I should maybe try there and see what it's like." Then after going here awhile, I wished I would've started going way back when I was thinking I should check it out over a year earlier.
Anyways, I do completely understand and agree with what your meanin' tho, 100%. Maybe my experience might give you a little encouragement to start maybe lookin' again..
    Either way, God Bless.
And ultimately, it's not a building that's God's house, His church. His church is His people literally. So, I think you're just fine not going to a building. God knows your heart. The Bible does say that we are supposed to gather together, but that could mean as little as two. "............. when two or more are gathered in My name.............."

    • @tb-yr6wy
      @tb-yr6wy 11 месяцев назад

      Thank you for your comment.
The body of Christ is literally that the body of Christ that is the church. I have been to many churches all my life, but I'm at the point now, we worshipped in our home with other believers and in their homes as well. We also take communion every Sunday together. Our Bible of choice is Holme illustrated study Bible.
I sometimes wonder when the scripture talks about a great falling away from the church not meaning the body of Christ but the physical building church in the end times.

There are many churches that are telling people about what is going on in the world. Jack Hibb’s church is just one example of a great church that speaks the truth and also keeps people up to date on what is going on in the world. The churches that want to just keep it safe and not speak the truth or talk about any controversial topics are losing people. The ones that showed bravery during Covid and didn’t keep their doors shut have grown a lot.

I used to follow Jack Hibbs until I learned to rightly divide the Word. He and many others in his circle apply the prophecies exclusively for Israel to the church. Paul is the apostle for the Gentiles and we're to follow Romans through Philemon. We're also not the bride of Christ, in fact that's not anywhere in the Bible. Israel is to inherit the earthly kingdom. We're given all spiritual blessings in heavenly places. We are the body of Christ.

A neighboring town got a new Priest. The called him the “baby priest” because he was so young. A young, good looking fella in a new town. It came out that he was having multiple affairs with several of the married ladies in that Catholic Church.
Personally, I was raised Baptist, and I’ve heard many screaming preachers, I won’t be screamed at by any dang body.

The brother and wife of my best friend goes to the same church. I helped my friend for many years because he was sick. His brother and sister in law never did anything for him. He passed away and his brother and sister in law went to this church and told people that I stoled 52 thousand dollars from them and that I was a monster. Every thing was because they though my friend had money and since he didn't they wanted me to give them money

For all my mother and i did to support church for 12 years, they were not there for her when she needed emotional support and definitely not since C started, and don't visit now. I'm done, some good folks and lot of hypocrites. Will no longer support or attend. It's pitiful and sad, They forget about the older folks.

Praise God for you and your decision. I made the same decision for many of the same reasons over 30 years ago. I refused to sit there and be lied to from the pulpit and never hear any truth about what was going on in the world. This is what seminaries have done to "preachers". The enemy trains these people and has been for many decades.
I feel God has blessed me because I haven't caved and gone back all these years.
The Bible contains the words of God, but so much of it is historical and written by men, period.

Former Methodist here, and from a long line of Methodists back to the beginning of the denomination. I've had enough of only talking about GAAAAAD'S LOOOOOOOVE and how AAAAWWWWESOME GAAAAAAD is. That's the only safe message that is allowed. Evil has been at work in the church and the entire Western world, and we're not allowed to point at it and call it what it is. You can't defend yourself against evil if you can't recognize it, and you can't recognize if you can't describe it and discuss it. You're supposed to be the three monkeys and see, hear and speak of no evil. I mentioned to one Methodist lady a while back that I was binge watching Yellowstone. She recoiled and exclaimed, "Oh I can't watch all those BAD people!" Yep, and that's how the West is lost.
