Due to circumstances with life and a severe condition known as "procrastination," I was really set back by this project, especially when my save got corrupted and I had to start almost from scratch in PPSSPP. Not fun. Regardless: At last, it is done! Thank you all so much for your wonderful patience and your kind, fueling comments from the last video that kept me thrusting forth into Adobe to finish this! Now... onto the next project! Then the next! Then MH Tri!
@@reineOdelshwank Yep, already working on 3U. Was hoping for Tri due to more consistent textures and Loc Lac being much more memorable, but… it is what it is.
Same for me! Tri was one of the best and most cohesive online experiences I’ve ever had. You truly grew close to some people because you had to rely on others to succeed in any regard online… unless, like me with these videos, you torture yourself in a masochistic desire to “prove” yourself. With how Tri now has private servers(or at least, will soon enough), I plan on engaging with my fellow veterans there soon enough on Dolphin emulator.
Because out of all games during that time it was the best, and none can really replicate it. I mean game like god eater exists in psp era but it's not as amazing and awespiring as MH. Now we are used to all the new addition it will be hard to go back.
@@slate3998It'll never be hard to go back for me :') But that's probably because I didn't really like additions like LS parry (I'm an LS main sadly), the wirebug abilities in rise, monster mounting in general, the gripclaw... I'd take clunky a** gameplay like in MHFU over that any day honestly but there also is a lot of quality of life changes that I enjoy. I wish skipable cutscenes and just being able to play with friends without having to watch them all the time in MH World would be on that list but it is not ._.
I like how your videos are not just solely about making fun of the the jankiness and somtimes obnoxious difficulty of old MH titles but also highlighting their surprising beauty and serene feel. Something about the grounded, slower pace of the older gens mixed with tranquil locales really speaks to me. While I enjoy the newer MH games, I can't help but feel something was lost along the way. The games have gotten progressively busier and louder and with an increasing focus on high speed, over-the-top action all the time at the expense of immersion and the feeling of actually being a monster hunter in a relatively grounded, low fantasy world. The things monsters and hunters are now capable of in games like Rise is absurd and frankly too far out there for my liking, but clearly I'm in the minority given the game's massive success so what do I know.
*_Someone_* gets it! The old MH games most certainly are products of their time, but it feels like they were such laborious works of passion and love for a concept with such limited resources. Even with all of their hilarious mistakes and frustrating, teeth-gritting, nail biting aggravations, I still greatly enjoyed it and could feel what the dev team originally desired! For story… Although the Hunters are superhuman and the monsters incredibly peculiar, they all seem like they could happen in our own world given enough time after a post-apocalypse, especially with the somewhat mirrored version of what our world can look like in the games. It felt like a natural world to explore and to attempt to balance- not just to tame. Rise is fun and I enjoyed it a lot more than whatever World did with its forced story beats, but I agree- it went _far_ too deep into the mystical fantasy settings. Whereas monsters and hunters had this balanced sense of realism with a healthy suspension of disbelief, I kind of just… hated the plot when I saw a monster talking through a Wyverian, along with the mystical aspects being increased tenfold with Rise. Ripped me right out of what I loved about MH stories. And don’t get me wrong- fire breathing dragons are all peculiar, but they design monsters so particularly that they even explain it through biology, organs, and even just believable bullcrap about body parts that _allow_ for some things to happen. Rise’s base game antagonists just didn’t have that grounded feeling. Whereas Tri’s main solo story has you ending it with marveling at a swimming natural disaster(Ceadeus) and MH4U’s was you ensuring that nature never became too wild that it destroys itself(Frenzy Virus), the newest games just seem like they lost that sense of balance of Man _and_ Nature, and just goes into “Man vs Nature.” World kept some of this with Zorah and Xeno, and Rise’s rampages keep the same idea, but the new way they do stories makes the world feel less genuine, even with the “interconnected and breathing world” they are always touting these days. Hopefully we return to the simple complexity of pre-World stories instead of the complex simplicity that is overbearing in post-World stories that brings down the world instead of truly showing the beautiful aspects of Monster Hunter’s breathtaking world, along with taking a moment to hit the brakes and not just rush to the next story beat, with us, ironically, feeling like side characters in our own stories. Edit: I also make a point that, when I make memes or mock something, I show that it still has merit and value. That is what fans do- we mock what we love because we know it has its flaws, but appreciate it as a whole- flaws and all.
Best MHFU video tribute so far. At first, i thought its gonna be another "Just some memes monster hunter video".. but the triumph at the end was so good, i could almost taste it. nice video 🙂
You honor me with the highly regarded comment on this work! That is my video style… usually, anyway. Memes half the video, then a tribute to the actual game the second half(or very end) of the video which shows off the game with all its good stuff- showing that no matter how painful and clunky it is, the triumph is well worth it!
You honor me! Silly memes have to match what’s going on screen. Too little, and it’s boring. Too much, and it’s overstimulating and _too_ annoying. And even then, the second half of my videos usually always go into a tribute of how great a game is. Good stuff.
I've been playing Freedom Unite for the first time this year. Just finished Village Low Rank and have been doing some multiplayer with some friends through Hunsterverse. It is wonderful to look back at our progress and see where we are now. Memories and nostalgia galore!

Monster Hunter Experience
Mama mia, that’s a spicy meme.
Get some milk!
I love the Sr pelo edits in this video
Hah! Glad someone recognized those legendary, terrifying screams!
Iirc, Fatalis was actually responsible for exterminating an entire nation on a single night.
The fact you can 1v1 him is amazing
He is why humanity is slightly primitive in so many villages. It wasn’t until Tri/MH3U that we saw actually prospering cities in the Monster Hunter world that we know humanity isn’t borderline extinct anymore.
NOT. EASY. The amount of health he has is BEYOND obnoxious.
Tbf, most of the time in any game, gameplay ≠ lore, like how in Pokemon, you can just go catch the literal God of everything with a silly purple ball in one go.
@@ammagon4519 That doesn't apply here, though. Fatalis literally blew up the biggest power in the MH world and the hunters in the game canonically bring the (multitude of) Fatalis and his brothers down.
@@TemplarBlonic ah I see, I've never played World myself.
I believe Capcom retconned Fatalis lore. The only time a hunter (that you play) has ever canonically gone against Fatalis is the one in World. All the other hunters never went against Fatalis officially.
Pure Chaos
6:00 oooh yes mh win song
Back to Chaos
As it should be.

Loud as a Jhen Mohran!
@@TemplarBlonic at least Jhen Mohran doesn't spam unlike Diablos or Khezu
@@sigmazeta2044 Ugh. At least Diablos has the decency to keep the jams going in the background, even if in Tri it spams it’s roar 3 times… Khezu is just obnoxious.
0:54 nice mechanical bird.
Truly a marvel of technology!
That's a too way good edit , the music feels awesome , you are big dude, realy big
Have my respect
You honor me! Thank you very much!
Bro made an faint, screaming, bullying, and an intro on one video nice👌👍
Bullying... bullying... I'm confused.
I certainly bullied that filthy Tigrex, though!
I can't wait for Monster Hunter Die ultimate
That's a weird way to spell 3U.
You always never give up

I prefer their fights in 4U but I agree!
@@TemplarBlonic oh for sure, 4U was just better lol. Those fights were nuts
@@Artik_Masterson Tri and 4U are prime Monster Hunter and everything great about the series.
@@TemplarBlonic yessssss. Especially memes.
Je suis monte 😂
@@Artik_Masterson I will forever be haunted by the first batch of Insect Glaive hunters who constantly jumped and whacked me out of my charged hammer.
The French screaming haunts my dreams! “JE SUIS MONTE!!!”

bro got the lightskin stare
Spooky stare!
My first real block was green plesioth; anyone else? I had zero trouble with Tigrex because it just spammed flash bombs =D

Hopefully all good and chuckleworthy! Hah!

Watching Sr Pelo's vids be like:
99% yell 1% anything
Monster Hunter é o verdadeiro Dark Souls
Fatalis with a hammer😂😂
Where there’s a will, THERE’S A WAY.
I swear, they lied about this game's genre. Instead of playing it with an arpg mindset, playing it with a turn-based mindset actually makes this game feel easier.
@@kurosan0079 Unironically that’s… shockingly accurate. Trying to attack during a monster’s “turn” just results in being punished.
Beautiful.
Nay thee!
GG !!! Bro :D
Many thanks!
When tf are you making the mh3u episode
Harass me every month and I will get off my lazy rear end and do it.
I just need to get past G-Rank! I need to push through!

My bro are you still struggles? Me too and I can't play online because my progress is still in real PSP, but don't worry we shall play together
Now, let's see some Frontier next

LOUD NOISES.
Which Blood code did you use? The ones I found online kept maxxing out my Item Box with every item in the game even on a fresh profile.
Blood code?
@@TemplarBlonic MHFU by default has tiny blood spatter, and you have the big fuck off blood spatter so I thought that’d be a cheat code like you had to do on regular PSP / emulator.
@@Krasgov Oh yeah! I tried lowering it but it was stuck on that. PPSSPP has a list of codes and you can usually find the file to port into the emulator online if it doesn’t automatically have the codes.
Next time I launch PPSSPP I’ll try to get you the name of the code.
I don't think it was that hard at all tbh, I think its just because world has babied everyone, I wish it'd return to this tbh
I started in Tri. I know.
MH1 was tough, though. Very clunky and the time investment is major to get even potions and mega potions compared to even the next few games…
But man was it satisfying. I find older games more satisfying and feel the effect of new equipment far more.
how are you playing the game ? through a emulator if so which one ?
PPSSPP emulator! www.ppsspp.org/
I also use it to play Dissidia.
This editing was over the top and obnoxious. Do it again.

The good stuff…
Through all the pain and suffering MHFU has given us, the moment where the monster fell and give it's last breath or roar is the most satisfying feeling ever that motivates us to continue this road of pain and suffering 🙂🥲
