What a horrible era for the Mets especially 1993.

91- 96 was absolutely awful but 1993 was that a different kind of bad

The Player always has to answer for The Incompetency within the Ownership collective. If some or even most of those boos weren’t directed at Bobby Bonilla, he’s still the one who has to answer for it. The cowards always end up hiding behind closed doors.

I feel like ownership were trying to regain the magic of the 80s when signed not just bonilla but eddie Murry bert saberhagen vince Coleman .. but also bonilla was nasty to the media and fans..

Terrible signing for the Mets. Then they unexplainably bring him back?

Idk why they traded back for him in 99 .. i know he had a good year in 97 but 99 that was a disaster as well . That's when he deferred the contract to what it is now

If they capoed top salaries at say $1million a year That would weed out the “just in it for the money No Hustle no give a rats behind about the team ,owner ,city or league and then the owners could afford to build their own Stadiums and taxpayer’s could afford to go to games without taking out a losn Theres a reason fans dont like Bonilla or his Its all about me no sportsmanship twin brother Barry huge head Bonds Its because they no nothing about winning nor care to

@sweetitis I think baseball needs a salary cap.. it's been a problem since the 90s that's part of the reason why the league had a strike in 94

And they're going to be paying him a million+ every year for another decade.

@Gcuso yup they sure are .. he had a great agent as well who suggested that he did deferral of his contract
