I am so sorry to hear about your wife. I lost my mom to breast cancer. I appreciate your videos and all the time and energy you invest in them. Thank You!!
As bad as I wanted a set of plans, I waited and saved the money for college proud to say today was my first day in my program so in two years as a reward for graduating I'm going to gift myself a set of plans or a kit which ever works out best at that time.
Have mentioned this before but I built a street legal VW-based sandrail in 1986 that weighed just over 900 pounds, a good friend still has it but I put 38,000 miles on it over a 10-year period...most of those miles on the Blue Ridge Parkway where the speed limit is 45mph; park rangers knew me and gave me 👍 even at age 74 I'd love to have one of these cross karts 😊
Wow that's impressive! I didn't realize you could get one that light. Years ago, my uncle took me for a ride in his vw based buggy and it was really surprising to me back then how easily it got through a really rocky canyon, with rocks the size of basket balls up to trash cans..despite being only 2wd. I've always wanted to build a pretty light one of my own for the farm so it doesn't sink in the soft fields. The whole thing would mostly be just a flatbed, with a little cab at the very front.
Sorry to hear of your wife’s cancer. Glade she is doing well and hope it continues going well for y’all. Just one ? What size are the big tires on the cart?
Thank you for sharing all your experience with everyone! I have a dream of building a crosscar like yours and one day I will make this dream come true and I will base myself on your projects! I'm from Brazil 🇧🇷 ❤and I've been following you for a long time❤
Thank you! You know you could just build one of my karts, it would be a lot easier and you have a 100% chance of building and driving an awesome machine. Enjoy the build 🦾
you are absolutely right i had a vet and a Miata at the same time dont get me wrong i loved the vet but the miata was more fun to drive vet felt slow and comfortable even though i did not let out at the s turns the Miata felt like i was on the raged edge at the same speed
in Nebraska you can register sxs and 4 wheelers on the road with a flagand the usual other stuff if you register the doner 4x4 it might work that way easier than the motorcycle way
I'm not sure how I ended up finding this video, but I have a 1983 Toyota that is so cut up it is almost like your cart :) I've owned a bunch of 4 wheelers and most folks doing what i use my truck for (hunting, firewood etc) have side by sides... Cheap to insure/ register and has the benefit of lights, windshield, heater etc..
Dude I would smoke your cut up Toyota… not sure if you realize this, but crosskarts are not for hauling firewood and race cars don’t have heaters. I’ve taken these on race tracks and sand dunes all while jumping and drifting and smiling. Not sure how old you are but it used to be if you didn’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. I wish you the best, man.
Is it possible to make a small glovebox? Because I find it useful to put your phone and stuff while driving, would love if you made that on one of your crosskarts
If you don't mind me asking, how did you do the electric components in cross karts? Like the speedo, I'm still trying to learn about electric parts on a kart like this. Thanks, (plus it would be a cool video!) sorry about your wife.
hi kJRaycing i am about to buy the plans to build my cross kart from italy🇮🇹. first i wanted to thank you for your great work on this fantastic project that gives all of us the chance to create our own cross kart even abroad without much budget. i have a kawasaki ninja ZX10R 200hp engine to install inside, is it possible to mount it on the frame designed by you? thank you very much 🤙🏼🚀
You can get them registered in the UK and it says "go cart" on the v5 (registration document) i don't know how you go about registering them, mine was already registered when i bought it.
Hey guys. I have a very nice complete rear-end out of a 2008 outlaw 525 IRS HUB TO HUB WITH COMPLETE BRAKES . My health won't let me build. Let me know. Thanks your
How is this street legal in your state? How was it ever street legal in New York of all places? Living in TN with the most relaxed laws I have ever been around for vehicles, side by sides can be made street legal only for non highway roads and allowed to drive on roadways under 35 mph. Which doesn't leave us many roads at all. There isn't any street legal lighting on this one and registering a 4 wheel vehicle makes it no longer a motorcycle.
You may have to watch in the video where I explain it. Sxs are tough because they are already titled as off road vehicles. Getting the titled changed from off road to on road is waaaaay harder than using a “modified frame” motorcycle or getting a vin for a homebuilt. My channel nor is this video about sxs so the comparison is highly irrelevant. I guess another pro of building your own crosskart is that you CAN make it street legal 👍 enjoy the build 🦾
If you get a vin number and a certificate of title you are gifting your vehicle to the state for the opportunity to drive on there roads when if you built it you have a constitutional right to travel in it, without there permission, but you have to be willing to take it all the way to the supreme court, and hope they still side with the people like they have in the past.
When you want to register a homemade car the DMV is only concerned with having seatbelts headlights brake lights and turn signals that is it. They don't care if it works or not they don't care the quality of fabrication they don't carry your welding skills or nothing because if they proved on all that and the car fell apart and you died they would be reliable just keeps them from not being reliable

Dude. Was not expecting to see my build on that slide show. Thank you man. Made my day!!! (Matthew Pursche)

Yes! New intro logo and bad ass hat. Stanley is a boss and his excitement is contagious!

Wow! You've been hard at developing these frames and everything around it! So crazy seeing where it've come so faar! 😍
Thank you so much! The fans drive everything I’m getting into and it so cool to see all of the new builds popping up from it.
Good stuff. Hope your wife makes a full recovery.

Suuuper, i wished my buggy registered, it will be so fun 😂
Not a chance in hell of getting a cross cart registered in Australia unfortunately. The rules here are so strict.
You have it great over there.
MERICA
Absolutely love it, buddy
Where are you getting those tires? What is the name so i can do a search?
In Virginia it's a "special purpose" vehicle and it requires an inspection by the state police. We aren't required a differential though.
Is the two seater build going to be finished ?
Is it possible to make a small glovebox? Because I find it useful to put your phone and stuff while driving, would love if you made that on one of your crosskarts

Anyone ever build one of these with a fwd automobile engine ?
Interesting idea
Does anyone know of any plans available similar to a "short sand car"/ "tom pro" style mini sand rail?

Diff... use the rear one from a Suzuki Carry or similar and get a LSD kit for it...
There's videos on YT making chain drive differentials out of a Miata carrier.
Hey do you offer financing for your kits?

IVA or SVA test thought the DVLA is the normal route.... :):)
I love your videos, wish I could be like you. Could I use a kawasaki ninja 1000 for the motor
Thanks man! Of course you can use that engine, it would be sick!
Ok thanks

that motor have rear gear
Monster truck tires? Really??? They’re 31” tall. Those are trencher tires.
What exactly do you mean by "street legal". Please provide the intent of Congress if you mean some code instead of a public law, thanks

Dirt legal is out there if your state wants to be a problem with street legality.
Thats what i have to do.
What motor did u put in this one
