    Great response Rob. After watching Brian’s first video I immediately thought of you and hoped you’d do a response. I learned a lot about T.O. here.
    Every time I hear the Ford name, all I can do is shake my head and laugh.

    Of course I enjoyed this Rob. Baseball, Exhibition stadium, wow. Did you go down to Buffalo and see them at Sahlen Field? Sorry, forgot aboot the music! 😄
    That The Kings cover reminds me of Rob Halford’s Fight!

    Hi Rob. The first song that pops into my head about Toronto is Toronto Tontos by Max Webster. Kind of surprised (although a little before your time) that you don’t collect them especially since you are a big supporter of Canadian talent. The song is a pretty quirky but a lot of fun. Check it out if you haven’t already. Cheers!!!

      Not a big Max Webster fan. Not bad just never really grabbed me. I have seen Kim Mitchell in concert before.

    I watched Embryonic Robot's first video and left a couple of comments naming songs that mention Toronto. Then I got The Days in Between and caught the Toronto name drop. I was going to suggest it, but of course you got it!
    Five Days in July should reach my mailbox today.

    Nicely done Rob. Exhibition Place was a horror, as were the Blue Jays when they first entered the league. In those days if they managed to turn a double play, we would take that as a sign to leave and go to a bar to celebrate because we knew it would only go downhill from there 😂😂. Cheers.

    Hi Rob! One of the best things living in the states is I never hear "Switching to glide" anymore on classic rock radio for the most part. Rob Ford! LMAO! The Chris Farley of mayors! 😂

    Hi Rob - I love your video. I guess if anyone would have that Blue Jays song, it would be you! I hoped for some Blue Rodeo tracks and was not disappointed. I used to live very very close to The Matador, so I think that song counts! I'm going to listen to that Cuff the Duke track now. I haven't heard that Whitehorse track either, if you can believe it. These are great, and I only own two: Cohen (obviously) and the Kings 🙂 I still can't believe that we elected Doug Ford 🙃

    • @NorthernRevolutions
      @NorthernRevolutions  7 месяцев назад

      Thanks Brian. That Whitehorse track is pretty obscure. Only a digital single. Its on youtube. Wasnt on any album or physical release and they dont play it live so most people dont even know about it. Much like Blue Rodeo’s Stephen Harper protest song, Stealing All My Dreams. Because it was a digital single, most folks have never heard it.

    I wanted to get that Kings album last year, but the CD was expensive and then I read the remastering was not good, so I gave up.

      Really?! That would be so awesome! I saw your comment here just before I went outside to clean up some weeds in the garden. I was thinking, do you think we could do a three-way type video with maybe Young LP Lovers, Racer Records, Embrionic Robot, or someone else you know and would like to do something with? Maybe we could, as a rough suggestion, do something like answer five questions like who was the first Canadian band or artist we knew of, who was the first Canadian band or artist we really got into, what is the best concert we've seen by a Canadian band or artist, what Canadian band or artist or scene do we want people to know more about, and who is currently your go to Canadian band or artist. Or any other suggestions? If we could work out something like that it would be great! Otherwise, a series for your channel meeting with other purveyors of pemmican? Profferers of poutine? Maple mayhem maniacs?@@NorthernRevolutions
