I've been hesitant to jump on the peel wagon, but have heard nothing but rave reviews about Platinum Skin Care's products and customer service. And now Penny's endorsement?! Pretty much seals the deal!!
I’ve been doing these peels for a looooong time. My advice is to prep by using tret for 2-4 weeks, then take a whole week off, apply the peel and then RIGHT after rinsing your face put a lot of tret on. It will peel the next day. It’ll peel in two phases. The first 2-4 days you’ll peel like mad. Then your skin will calm down and then it’ll flake some more a day or two later. You’ll be totally peeled in about 8 days. You’ll heal faster too with the tret prep.
Thank u for addressing how people with deeper skin tones can safely use this product to avoid rebound hyperpigmentation. I do not use HQ for that very reason

I am ready to move to Jessnes or TCA but am a bit nervous so can’t wait to do it with you & your followers! I just purchased the plantinum skincare products (mandelic acid 22% and 40%) I had very high hope that this will work for me as this is most gentle peel. Unfortunately with the both peels, I had big red spots appeared on my face which turned into pigmentation spots the next day. I did test patch and had no issues. I heard really good things about their products but unfortunately didn’t work for me, but that doesn’t mean it’s not going to work for others. Give a try! Hats off to the best customer service from Platinum though.
I can see a difference in your neck and décolleté after your first peel. Less pigmentation and looks brighter. Can't wait to see your additional peels. I tried my first TCA peel this year and am hooked. I used a 12.5% TCA on my face, neck, and hands. Have done it twice, one in Jan and Apr. I was surprisingly impressed with this strength of TCA on my hands (thought I needed a higher strenght), but it peeled quite a bit in my second peel (did 4 layers) and made the skin look much younger. Have always been curious about Platinum peels so will give it try during their sale.
I actually think next time I’m going to do 13% with more layers… I agree! It’s so satisfying to see less pigment and fresh skin. I definitely went in slow and not aggressive….i could have had more wow results but for once I was conservative lol
Hi Penn! Another great video. Chemical peels are great and I’ve been doing them for years. I use a very strong TCA peel on my face where I need it and on my hands, etc. But, be careful doing them too much (of course no one in the world has done them as much as I have lol), because you will get white scars (loss of pigmentation), like I have around my upper lip, lower corner of my chin, where I have done and still do micro needling as well. I hope you feel better! ❤

Oh gosh I would not credit ziip (although it is my favorite along with LED). I lost some weight and also last October and in January I did an in-office treatment called Agnes RF (video is coming soon) that helped my “jowl” and jaw area this year. Ziip is fantastic but is just a little tool in the toolkit ❤️
I’m a new subscriber. Back in February I had laser resurfacing done on my face and the MD did a TCA peel on my neck and decolate. I definitely want to do this. Just ordered....I too wish I had done more prevention to my decollete. Im fair skinned and also have sun spots on my arms. Hopefully, I can reverse damage there as well. ❤
I think we are on the same timeline! I did my first TCA chest peel on May 26! Prior to that, I had been doing Mandelic 40 peels. At 4 weeks, I may do another Mandelic 40 peel instead of TCA, as it's easier to work into summer for me. We'll see. But, for SURE, I will be peeling on my chest in some fashion through the summer. For Fall, I have planned continued TCA chest peels, and will be doing my arms, as well. I am always using Mandelic 40 on my face, but that's because I love it -- such a glow -- and I really can't do any of the downtime that a TCA results in on my face. Maybe someday!

To start, use the 13%. Once you see how you respond to 1 or 2 layers, you can increase the number of layers. The mini kit with 5 vials is perfect for this. Make sure you keep the treated area protected!
On the Platinum site they have a peel finder ❤️ For the neck and deck they recommend 7-13% TCA (if you choose TCA). I bought 20 without doing the peel finder bc I have experience with peels. I could have done 13% and more layers ❤️
I use the platinum TCA peels in my practice, actually. I love them. I've also done the dream peel on myself ❤ And, I love and use the alphabet cream as my foundation when doing makeup. Beautiful. I'll have to try out some of the other products you're recommending 👍 I want to do the decollete series with you, but I live in Florida and you get sun just looking out the window, lol! And, wearing anything other than a spaghetti strap top/sundress most of the time is too much in this heat. I like to start those in the fall. Sunscreen/block always though 👌😉 Thank you for all your knowledge and advice. ❤
Chemical peels were kinda scary to me at the start but all their videos really helped. Confession: I had the peels for weeks and weeks before I gathered the courage to do the first one 😂 . Now it's not a big deal. I started with just mandelic peels but now also do their TCA peels.

I've always been nervous to try TCA peels at home. I still haven't gone any deeper than cosmetic needing at home either. That said, I have really great skin for my 55 year age and always get comments on my glow & luminosity so haven't really felt it necessary to go drastic on acids beyond my weekly or bi-weekly AHA. I do have one sun spot on the top corner of my forehead (near my hair line) that I'd love to see gone, and my deck definitely isn't as luminous as my face, so this may be the perfect place to "test the waters". I may just have to jump on this sale now & try it sometime after i get back from vacation in mid-July, or even early August as I've got a couple of dance performances at the end of July. I’m in. I have had some peels over the years. Very mild and only to the face. Was going to get a laser treatment but it’s very spendy and if I can learn to do this it makes sense.

Yep! I’d like to join the “Reset” group! Just tryin to figure out which strength TCA to order. I’m thinking 7 or 13. I’ve had a few professional peels done at my derm’s & a couple yrs ago used Drunk Elephant’s Baby Facial every Sunday for 18 months. If you’re able to layer the TCA to increase the strength then 13%??? Not sure! I’m thinking 20% might be a bit strong for me right now.

Hi Penny, I want to learn to do peels. I can't go on FB though. I did the quiz for prep and peel but WOW it's very expensive!! Do I really need ALL those products or is there a minimum i.e. cleanser, brightener, vita C (any?) any moisturizer or oils? Retinoid.(any?). I chose lactic acid. Is theirs the best? I have been using Tula to see if my skin can handle that & so far it's handling it if I pamper it a couple days afterward. Any suggestions?❤ Love your channel!! I think this is going to be a game changer!!😃

Loved the video!! I did 1 TCA on my chest 2-3 months ago but aggravated a couple moles that got really dry and they were bugging me so went to Derm who removed them. I would love to follow along just not sure I can do peels at the same time due to my chest still healing and vacation and sun exposure. I'm definitely interested in following along 👏👏 Can you share your pre-prep. Never thought of hydration booster 10X for post care. So 20% is ok to start with on the chest? I’ll be doing the next round in September. I used 20% but Platinum recommends 7-13% on the deck and I would encourage everyone to follow their recommendations, prep etc. I have experience with peels so I was ok with it 😊❤️

I had colds back to back and sinus infection as my sweet, cute but who often have runny noses and colds almost 2-year-old twins share their germs with me 😂. I did a mandelic peel on my face last month saw a huge difference and I just did a TCA 13 on my face and hands/arms a TCA 20 (still peeling from this) a week ago. Big difference as well. What peel did you use on your décolleté? I hear you talking about it, but I didn’t see the actual type/concentration of peel referenced? Thanks!
I did a 20 TCA but platinum recommends 7-13% for neck/deck with more layers vs 20%. It’s just what I bought (I have experience with peels). ❤️ Lower with more layers is better than high btw ❤️❤️
I love Platinum. You're right, they are a great company. Have to say that Fade Bright fell short for me. I purchased 5 bottles and used them all. Really failed. Their peels are great. Use them all the time.

I bought the TCA 13% Peel with the Luminosity option today. I'm in AZ where it's 112° right now, so I'm waiting until the Fall to start. I feel I'm a Fitzpatruck 3 to 4, so I'm opting to do a melanin inhibitor for 4-6 weeks prior to starting the peel. Can I use my Urban Rx HyperCorrect Intense Fading Cream with Cystamine for this step?

I really want to try this on several spots (Face Neck Chest Arms and Thighs!) - 59, red head with many freckles (that thought she could tan when she was a kid!). Anyway, I think I will dive in, my one concern is that I am training for a Marathon in Sep (and again Mar) and I run outside and live in Sunny Southern CA. I do lather on the SPF (day late and dollar short to a small degree) but I want to know if that will be enough or do I need to take added steps
Ok so I plan to do my next round in September (late September actually, sometime around the 27th). If you want to join that round you could do it then- Slathering SPF and wearing a hat when you train (especially especially during the actual peel) will be necessary. If you could limit sun exposure for a week at least while you peel it would be even better. ❤️ My mom is a red head (well, she was, now baby blonde at 77) and I inherited her skin! So I get it!!)

Yes TCA can help with superficial lines- repeated peels will chip away at some of the deeper lines (but it does depend on whether they are dynamic or static lines, but they can definitely *improve* ) ❤️❤️

I think we are on the same timeline! I did my first TCA chest peel on May 26! Prior to that, I had been doing Mandelic 40 peels. At 4 weeks, I may do another Mandelic 40 peel instead of TCA, as it's easier to work into summer for me. We'll see. But, for SURE, I will be peeling on my chest in some fashion through the summer. For Fall, I have planned continued TCA chest peels, and will be doing my arms, as well. I am always using Mandelic 40 on my face, but that's because I love it -- such a glow -- and I really can't do any of the downtime that a TCA results in on my face. Maybe someday!

To start, use the 13%. Once you see how you respond to 1 or 2 layers, you can increase the number of layers.
The mini kit with 5 vials is perfect for this.
Make sure you keep the treated area protected!

For the neck and deck they recommend 7-13% TCA (if you choose TCA).
I bought 20 without doing the peel finder bc I have experience with peels. I could have done 13% and more layers ❤️

I use the platinum TCA peels in my practice, actually. I love them. I've also done the dream peel on myself ❤ And, I love and use the alphabet cream as my foundation when doing makeup. Beautiful. I'll have to try out some of the other products you're recommending 👍 I want to do the decollete series with you, but I live in Florida and you get sun just looking out the window, lol! And, wearing anything other than a spaghetti strap top/sundress most of the time is too much in this heat. I like to start those in the fall. Sunscreen/block always though 👌😉 Thank you for all your knowledge and advice. ❤

Chemical peels were kinda scary to me at the start but all their videos really helped. Confession: I had the peels for weeks and weeks before I gathered the courage to do the first one 😂 . Now it's not a big deal. I started with just mandelic peels but now also do their TCA peels.

I've always been nervous to try TCA peels at home. I still haven't gone any deeper than cosmetic needing at home either. That said, I have really great skin for my 55 year age and always get comments on my glow & luminosity so haven't really felt it necessary to go drastic on acids beyond my weekly or bi-weekly AHA. I do have one sun spot on the top corner of my forehead (near my hair line) that I'd love to see gone, and my deck definitely isn't as luminous as my face, so this may be the perfect place to "test the waters". I may just have to jump on this sale now & try it sometime after i get back from vacation in mid-July, or even early August as I've got a couple of dance performances at the end of July.

I’m in. I have had some peels over the years. Very mild and only to the face. Was going to get a laser treatment but it’s very spendy and if I can learn to do this it makes sense.

Yep! I’d like to join the “Reset” group! Just tryin to figure out which strength TCA to order. I’m thinking 7 or 13. I’ve had a few professional peels done at my derm’s & a couple yrs ago used Drunk Elephant’s Baby Facial every Sunday for 18 months. If you’re able to layer the TCA to increase the strength then 13%??? Not sure! I’m thinking 20% might be a bit strong for me right now.

Do I really need ALL those products or is there a minimum i.e. cleanser, brightener, vita C (any?) any moisturizer or oils? Retinoid.(any?).
I chose lactic acid. Is theirs the best?
I have been using Tula to see if my skin can handle that & so far it's handling it if I pamper it a couple days afterward.

I have used Platinum Dermasnap and eye cream for years. Am getting to the point where I need a a heavier night cream. So if you talk to her tell her to add that.and a stronger day moisturizer.

Loved the video!! I did 1 TCA on my chest 2-3 months ago but aggravated a couple moles that got really dry and they were bugging me so went to Derm who removed them. I would love to follow along just not sure I can do peels at the same time due to my chest still healing and vacation and sun exposure. I did a mandelic peel on my face last month saw a huge difference and I just did a TCA 13 on my face and hands/arms a TCA 20 (still peeling from this) a week ago. Big difference as well. What peel did you use on your décolleté? I hear you talking about it, but I didn’t see the actual type/concentration of peel referenced? Thanks!

I love Platinum. You're right, they are a great company. Have to say that Fade Bright fell short for me. I purchased 5 bottles and used them all. Really failed. Their peels are great. Use them all the time.

They recommended me the TCA 13, I am fair skinned, but have stubborn hyperpigmentation on my face and a lot on my chest in which I do use Tret., Hydroquinone and also use Transexamic Acid serum. And many more serums, lotions and potions. Prayers that you get well soon. 😊

I’ve watched their videos, fade bright fairly costly. I use green tea serum red light, but for a peel, not sure.

I bought the TCA 13% Peel with the Luminosity option today. I'm in AZ where it's 112° right now, so I'm waiting until the Fall to start. I feel I'm a Fitzpatruck 3 to 4, so I'm opting to do a melanin inhibitor for 4-6 weeks prior to starting the peel. Can I use my Urban Rx HyperCorrect Intense Fading Cream with Cystamine for this step?

Cysteamine is a great pigment inhibitor and if you start way ahead should be good (I would encourage you to add another dedicated pigment inhibitor this first time though….3 weeks ahead…is that possible?)

I really want to try this on several spots (Face Neck Chest Arms and Thighs!) - 59, red head with many freckles (that thought she could tan when she was a kid!). Anyway, I think I will dive in, my one concern is that I am training for a Marathon in Sep (and again Mar) and I run outside and live in Sunny Southern CA. I do lather on the SPF (day late and dollar short to a small degree) but I want to know if that will be enough or do I need to take added steps
Ok so I plan to do my next round in September (late September actually, sometime around the 27th). If you want to join that round you could do it then-
Slathering SPF and wearing a hat when you train (especially especially during the actual peel) will be necessary. If you could limit sun exposure for a week at least while you peel it would be even better. ❤️

Yes TCA can help with superficial lines- repeated peels will chip away at some of the deeper lines (but it does depend on whether they are dynamic or static lines, but they can definitely *improve* ) ❤️❤️
