One of the many things I love about Penn is that she doesn’t just look for accolades in her comments. She addresses the questions. She RESPONDS. She cares about our questions and that we get the information. Thank you, sweet Penn! ❤
(I asked a simple question below about whether a product has a glass container. She RESPONDED that it does. She didn’t just think oh, who cares or that person didn’t even say they liked the video. She answered my question. 💕)

    Hi Penn,
Could you please do a video of Korean products that would make up some of our routine so that we can buy Sukoyaka, iUnik beta glucan & of course one of the sunscreens from one of the retailers like Stylvana? I’d love to know what you would absolutely recommend & what general products you might skip. For example, since they are just beginning to develop retinol products, would you avoid them. I trust you implicitly, so would really love your guidance. Thank you for all the positivity you put out into, the world. 🌎

    🙌🏼👏🏼🎉💜♥️💙
I love that you explain the breakdown of ingredients and why it's good for your skin! This makes me want to throw out everything in my arsenal and purchase just these products. I spent $280 on Zo skincare and I feel like it does nothing but wreck my skin. Makes me sick on how much money I spent on it so I feel like I'm forced to use it.

Geek & Gorgeous also has A-Game 10 0.1% for $19.90 and A-Game 5 0.05% for $14.90 retinaldehydes which are very nice and I alternate them with the Naturium. I like both of those much better than the Maelove Moonlight and it costs far less. I also have been using the Isintree TW Real Bifida for several years now and I like it too. Another good Bifida serum is Tocobo Bifida Biome.

❤👍😍 Thank you for all these great suggestions! While I was watching your video on my pbone I had the split screen up so I could be shopping for these products on amazon while you were talking about them. Lol
...can't help it... it's the multitasker in me. Lol
The last one wasn't on amazon but I still was able to find a Korean skincare product with bifida (bifida is something I haven't heard of before you talked about it on this video. Thanks!❤). The one I looked at sounds like a dupe for the EL product I used to use. It's called MANYO FACTORY Bifida Biome Complex Ampoule 1.7 fl oz (50ml) Korean Skincare, Facial Skin Rejuvenating, with 10-types-of Hyaluronic Acid.
🤔 Thinking I'll have to try that one.

I picked up the minimalist pha earlier this year after scrolling through Amazon and it quickly became my favorite liquid exfoliant. I was working with my derm to get my rosacea under control, so my routine was really pared down. Once my skin was balanced and I was interested in adding a liquid exfoliant back into my routine, I picked this up because I knew a lactic or glycolic would be too spicy for me. This pha is just enough to help buff the surface of my skin without getting any sign of irritation. I will definitely repurchase it moving forward. So glad to see that you tried it and liked it!

To me it doesn't seem like the products could all be getting down in the skin when there are so many layered on top of the other. I don't know if you want to know this but I tried the Gleanser and it was super drying.
I tried the Barrier repair and it didn't hydrate at all. I could feel the Dimethecone in it but did nothing for moisture, so am returning.
To be fair, I do have extra dry skin but Mad Hippie does not dry my skin out & the bio cellular water does a pretty good job. I like Mad Hippie for second cleanse.
Also, just oil for a first cleanse. I use it to moisturize and loosen up sun screen, etc. & Then use a damp wash cloth and with small circular motions go over all my face. Sometimes I put a hot wash cloth on for about a minute or so to bring the oil up.
In AM this is enough or just water depending on dryness.
Don't usually need a second cleanse just find another clean spot on wash cloth and go over my face and see if there's more on it.
Anyhow, if there are any older ladies out there with super dry skin thought I'd pass this along. I Jojoba is the best moisturizer. It seems to match the skin. Soaks in & plumps. I live in the desert so miday I'll put some on my hands, rub together and press onto dry areas. Only need a little.☺️
Anyway, I hope this doesn't step on some toes, it's just my experience. I don't live by the ocean anymore. The desert is really rough on skin!! Especially dry skin!

Thanks for this info! I’ve been hearing about THD ascorbate as a better option for vitamin C. I’ve heard that L-ascorbic acid doesn’t penetrate as well and isn’t stable. Wondering your thoughts on this?

    • @PENNSMITHSKINCARE
      @PENNSMITHSKINCARE  6 месяцев назад

So LAA isn’t stable, true. And THD is fat soluble so theoretically it may penetrate our lipid barrier better. All that said, LAA is the one that is studied and proven effective so until THD gets that kind of true verification it’s just theories (although I do think THD is great personally).
