Go NYCHA. Former projects resident at Pedro Ibizu Campos plaza Losaida Avenue alphabet city. I survived.
The money the tenants of that building would use to pay in rent use it for repairs and give it to your landlord as a collective group. Problem here is the buildings community dont come together financially or as a housing group to get things done unless its for a funeral or a cook out but thats project life where they want everything free when everything costs money.

Most are living there for FREE off the Taxpayers dime . You expect services you DO NOT PAY FOR . SMH .

Their rent is based on their income. Have a kid that gets a part time job in the summer? The rent they have to pay goes up.

You do know public housing isn't a shelter. You're confusing the two.
Public housing is for low income citizens. Everything is included in the tent breakdown including your gas, electric/lights, a/c and heating. You know the basics necessities.
It's not free. You still have to pay rent in the projects.
