    Love your Q&As. How about a video dedicated to menopause? I wish my provider would watch this video and worry less about my cholestrol and more about my hormones and trouble sleeping through the night. Recently the PA told me there was no need to test hormones since everyone just needs estrogen. Her solution for me was Lexapro and Benadryl.

    Hello Dr. Seeman,
    What do you recommend for a 54 year old female with 35 % body fat, who has never been athletic before? I suspect I'm insulin resistant and every time I begin to cut out carbs I wind-up feeling awful. My hormones are way out of wack too. Do you work with women online ? If not, do you recommend supplements to help get you through the beginning phase to help with energy and hunger?

    I would love you to do a video for women who have gone through menopause. All of my hormones have flatlined and everything on me has either shrunk or deflated. I am finding it very difficult to put on or maintain muscle so I am turning into skinny fat! I went on bioidentical hormones for two years but I didn't notice any changes. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

    I am curious about hormonal birth control and the impact it has on a woman’s overall hormones while on keto..? Is it possible for a young woman to have estrogen dominance because of keto impacting cortisol levels?

    Thank you for answering my question about menopause and belly fat. I am doing IF and once per month a 72 hour fast. Mainly carnivore diet, and am doing hormone replacement. So....., I guess it’s time to step up the weights!

    What brand of exogenous ketones would you recommend? I've been keto for over 2 years and don't use them but my husband is just starting out and having a hard time, think they'll help him.

      They will only delay your body’s own production of ketones. It will also burn a hole in your wallet. Try a little MCT oil in your first cup of coffee instead. Stay Strong.

    I loved this Q&A. I am always so confused about Keytones. I have a keto coach and I monitor my Keytones on and off and I have been on the keto diet for almost 3 years now and I always have low Keytone numbers too and I always thought I was doing something wrong.

    Ppl are always looking for pills and powders...it seems ppl are willing to do just about anything except make healthy long term lifestyle changes

    I absolutely concur, except for exogenous ketones. More important than ketone levels is beta-oxidation of fat. Allow the body to make it’s own endogenous ketones. If you need an energy boost, add a little MCT oil, especially higher in C8. Thanks for the ongoing videos.

    I’ve been reading that Keto increases the risk of Breast Cancer in post Menopausal women. I had a total hysterectomy & don’t take hormones. My energy level is very low unless I drink a B12 shot or drink an energy drink. I thought the keto/carnivore diet would increase my energy so I wouldn’t need those anymore. What’s your advice/thoughts on this?

    Question for next time...I've been exercising daily quite a bit. I'm getting leg cramps, especially when I swim and bike. I use Redmond's Real Salt before and after I wo and sip on water frequently. I also take magnesium and potassium at night. Should I consider electrolytes? Should I take Mg and K in the morning before I wo? Any advice would be appreciated!

    Thanks so much. This was super helpful. If you do answer more questions: Having hypothyroidism leads to massive fatigue. I'm on my feet all day and then too tired to exercise. Any tips on how to overcome the fatigue of hypothyroidism even on keto?

    Is it normal that on carnivore diet leptin levels decrease? Just tested my blood, my leptin is low at 1.7. My body fat percent is 21%. How can my leptin be raised? Thank you!
