Sony just lowered the 65" and 55" BRAVIA 7 prices for all authorized dealers. So now the 65" BRAVIA 7 is $1,999. and the 55" is just $1,699. all in and delivered Nationwide. Plus check with your favorite Sony Diamond dealer :) for even more savings!

That is why professionals publish their films on screens that have over 4000 lumens

I don't think that changed with B7. It looks like 85" is likely the "better" version. Not by a mile. But I suspect it given what I saw in this video. The blooming has the characteristics of a CSOT panel. The 85 in last 2 years of miniLED got AUO panels. Don't know though if that will be the case with B7. It might have CSOT across the board.

Thanks for the video, looking forward to more and especially some comparison maybe with X95L, as 85 vs 85 and maybe against some other TVs.
Some observations I saw. It does bloom a bit, partly could be camera showing it more strongly than real life if it took in more light. Or it could be what it is. The bloom had a slight blueish hue which tells me it's CSOT panel and I have a feeling like the lower sizes again with Bravia 7 as previous models will have different quality. The 85" likely best black level and native contrast.
The TV does look great though I like all the features.
I don't think it's behind in gaming. It has basically all the "game settings" you could want, even motion blur reduction (BFI) if you so choose of course more input lag with that. It has predefined setting and you can change it all. The game mode is the most realistic on a Sony as in accurate and you can tweak it to punch more. For me I would not want it to punch more than what the Sony can do. Then it's just an absolute mess of oversaturation etc. It has some unique game bar features.
The "Screen size" setting, is really cool and useful if you go with a really large size and sit close. You do not want to play COD/Battlefield or any competitive MP shooter on an 85" sitting close. You wouldn't be able to see the periphery well and you would have to move your eyes and head too much. So the ability to reduce the size to a 75" or 65" size right in the center could be really nice for those types of games.
Reality creation can enhance low quality and blurrier games etc. I seen 120hz is about 8.6ms in game mode. That is basically 3ms above a Samsung or LG. So, yeah I doubt I'd notice 3ms.
The thing is you might even be able to change that since reality creation seems on by default at "10" (out of 100). That is processing and turning it off might net a little bit of a reduction in input-lag?
I am going for Bravia 9 and since this Bravia 7 is likely closer to X95L there should be a pretty big difference. Still the Bravia 7 looks great for those who can't go for B9.

Excellent comment! They are behind in gaming my friend. Only 2 hdmi2.1, no 1440p even though the PS5 has it , no 144HZ capabilities even though most companies do. The game mode looks amazing but being real they are behind. They also know it and own it. The moniker is bringing cinema home not gaming home😁 It's a 65" mini led so blooming is inevitable however they do not suppress the brightness to compensate. Shadow detail and peak brightness for HDR impact is their signature

Probably a good "budget" decision for many , as Sony seems to discount at least in my country the lower entry TVs more than their flagships. Plus a lot of completion in this range for "average" consumer . The 98" is crazy price though . If Samsung discounts it's S95D 77" dramatically , would be hard to go past that ( in my country always cheaper than LG G series ) .
Finally a taster before the main meal Bravia 9 85" ( unlike OLED , often PQ not the same on Sony miniLEDS wrt size )

Always wanted an OLED because of blacks and infinite contrast and super wide viewing angle BUT this new Bravia 7 looks like a great upgrade from X90/93L. I watch mostly live sports on youtube/cable/streaming and 1080p content with no gaming and only a few movies (none of which will have any animated content with the exception of "Cars".) At about the same price which would you buy in my position @ 65 inches: A80L or Bravia 7...and why? Thanks!

I returned it for another c845 and some of the same problems appeared. It got very clear to me, that it was a tcl thing and not just me getting a bad panel. MiniLED has zero advantages over regular LED, heres way, #1, oled blacks or miniLED blacks are not even realistic. There is no pitch blacks with most dark ares in real life, its a unrealistic saturation, so somewhat gray blacks are more realistic. #2 is blooming. Never had problem till miniLED, and also the blue box you see around icons now, #3 eveyone says miniLED has better brightness and contrast, yet i see the exact opposite? Most 65in tvs in last 5-6 years that was miniLED, on average had about 3400:1 contrast, and anywhere from 500-900 brightness nits. Cool, my 2014 EDGE lit......EDGE lit tv, had 4000:1 contrast, some of samsungs REGULAR LED tvs from 2016-2019 had like over 6000:1 contrast. MiniLED has done nothing but cause problems, banding/DSE is at a all time high, never had problem before, (of corse they all didnt get there panels from china back then ether) motion is definitely not better, the motion that was in my 2014 65in samsung edge lit tv that was $7000 new was miles ahead of sony right now. They all claim miniLED is more clear and better picture quality, yet theres a guy who uploaded a video just last November, and had both side by side. Regular LED looked more clear, there is nothing and i mean NOTHING about these tvs thats worth buying. Since 2020 we have had nothing but disgusting quality control and one problem after another, and these companys skimping out on performance to force people to buy bigger sizes. absolutely trash.
