Just want to let you know that you are the reason I drag my 49 year old butt out of bed at 5 am to hike with a pack, in the Dunedin winter so I can get fit enough to get out there and get amongst the beautiful mountains we have in New Zealand. Thank you for the inspiration and hope to see you on the tops one day
some people dislike the regular, product advertising. I find it mildly annoying but I accept it because JE needs to be able to fund his trips. I find his videos good at story telling. and we fail to appreciate he's climbed the hill, set up the camera, climbed down and then back up again for the footage.😊
I'm not a hunter nor usually interested in hunting but these videos are insanely immersive, the quality, editing, environment and the way you let us know why and what you're doing at all times, there's almost no entertainment like this online. Just blown away by these videos mate! So thanks for what you do. p.s. Love the way you seem to respect the animals at the same time.

Hey Joe have you checked out meat eater a big you tube hunting program in the USA he does the butchering and cooking, he has even had dedicated cooking wild game episodes is there a way you could set up a USA based you tube account to be able to show the whole process because I know a lot of people like the whole journey, I know I do l.

The quality of your filming is second to none, and the behind the scenes editing you do is out the gate! I love seeing your South Island hunting stuff as I grew up in Rakaia so for me it brings back memories. One thing I’d love to see you go more into is the ammo you’re using and how you find it and also if you change your ammo or if you consistently choose the same brands etc. Cheers and keep up the quality hunts!

Yeah the bird encounters are always awesome, I've got a hunt coming up that I filmed earlier this year that had the most crazy bird life I've ever experienced. I'm hoping that comes through properly in the videos

Cool wee critters Chamois. Had an interesting encounter with one during the last roar where it was following our path. We stopped around a corner amongst some rocks not knowing it was behind us. Put up a hind and a spiker below us that bolted. Turned to see this chamois round the corner and freak, paused for a second and bolted also. It was only about 10 yards away. Amazing how they are so inquisitive and elusive at the same time.
Another epic vid! And talk about tenacity. You did amazingly well to get that Chamois in those conditions. Not sure how I’d cope with only 4 good weather days in 12! But, you did it man! Also… really appreciate you answering my question about Binos in this vid’s ‘Outro’… looks like I’ll be risking a “marriage ending move” by getting a pair of those Leopold BX-4 HD RF 10x42’s!

Man the Chamois and the wilderness i so close to what we have here in Austria, it's amazing. Watching your vids makes me feel like I am hunting in the mountains at home, except that NZ is way bigger and nicer as there is absolutely no civilization out there where you are going. Fantastic JE, as an ex South Canterbury boy It take me back 50 years tramping over the high country chasing Deer, Chamois & Thar with the old Parker Hale .303. # 4 MKI. No range finders in those days, just educated guesses & Misses. LOl 👍👍as for butchering, check out "Jack out the back" WA. They show lots of dicing up camels, back straps & legs. Pretty sure raw meat is ok as long as there's not lots of blood.
