Great video Tom! currently run it stock and appreciate it as a “scale basher”. Looking to pick up another and make one upgrade/ change at a time. Good to see it can become something different to match your trails and bash sites

Very 🆒filming and driving. 👍 Your Hammer Rey version looks so cool. The Losi Hammer Rey is a very nice looking RC. I managed to reduce the tendency to body roll by putting double rear wheels on it. The Losi Hammer Rey even looks a bit more extreme and is actually still cool to see and still to the scale. I have a video of my first test drive on my RUclips channel. Greetings Jos 👋🍀

I went a little different route with the tires, "RC4WD Grappler 2.2" Scale Rock Bouncer/Racer Tires (2) (X2S3)" also have a more rounded profile than the stock tires, these are the stock tires on RC4WD Miller Motorsports 1/10 Pro Rock Racer RTR. The foam the comes with the tires are way too soft for anything but rock crawling so I went with Crawler Innovations Deuce's Wild "Heavy Weight" 2.2 Tall Closed Cell Foam which are even stiffer than the stock foam. My truck comes in at 12lbs. with battery in its current configuration. I did have to contour the foam to match the tire profile, but that was easily done with a Dremel and sanding disk. I went with INJORA wheels with a 10mm negative offset.

Nice, sounds like a good setup. I may try a dual stage at some point

    Great Video.
I just finished my Hammer Rey, love this thing. I was curious what scale it really was since we all know it isn't 10th scale as Losi says. I couldn't find specs that said what the wheelbase is on the real one but luckily, they said it was running 40" tires so using that data I came up with approximately 113" wheelbase, which would make ours right at 1/8 scale.

Def 1/8 but I guess they call it 1/10 because it shares parts across the Rey lineup. The RZR is way off, maybe closer to 1/7

Nice idea.👍🏾 Do you think it would accept a Fusion Pro?

I don’t think the Fusion has the power to pull this truck. The other issue is the Fusion has a smaller motor shaft.

Hammer rey vs Rzr as a general trail bash rig? Hammer rey has more clearance i guess but seems crazy long. Whatdya think? We run on very similar terrain.

I like the RZR better. Doesn’t belly out as much and it turns better.
