Mostly perspective. Screenshots you get from shows/movies usually have an angle of view of 30, so it will be more accurate to sculpt in perspective. I only use Ortho when I refer to professionally taken photos which are taken with zoom lenses that causes less distortion.
That's really cool. I think you should have demanded props from the series to keep... er i mean to use as reference ;) I wanted to ask what you use for your casting and what silicone you're using? Keep it up!
Haha yes and it will be 'lost' in transit 😏. I use Smooth-on products. Smooth-cast 300 for resin casting, you can add beige dye to it if you'd like. As for silicone, I've tried Rebound 25 (Yellow Ranger video) and Mold Star 30 (Pink Ranger video). Rebound 25 is meant for brushed on molds cos it's thicker, so Mold Star 30 should be easier to work with if you want to mold headsculpts. I'd definitely recommend a vacuum chamber if you want perfect molds cos my molds have air bubbles and that is really irritating to deal with after casting.
Yes, when I was using the Moai printer, the resin head printed was not primed entirely so there was an area that the mold did not cure properly. As long as you prime it well, you should be fine.
Hi Zedabyu! After printing the head, what are you doing to make them grey and ready to paint? Are you just priming, or using another material first? Thank you :)
I know this video came out a while ago but do you still plan on making a part two? I’d love to see your process for making the accessories and a custom box! If not that’s completely okay don’t worry!
Please tell me you would consider selling the .stl file for personal use, I need a mr. Kim in my collection, then I can make a jung from the shang chi sculpt!
Heck yeah badass work Zedabyu! I’m so sorry you need to do a part 2 now 😅
Haha yes you should be! 😂😂
Omg I need two of these. Because who doesn’t want a Mr Kim figure and a captain Carson teva figure in there collection. Amazing work team
Oh my gosh! I love Kim’s Convenience!!! It looked so cool!
Part 2 please definitely!!
Looks amazing already to me. great job, can't wait to see the finished product.
I would love this figure
Great video! You are very talented and modest at the same time! Keep up the great work!
Pretty good sculpt and the highlights you put into the paintwork are pretty good too.
Thank you! I've been neglecting highlights for a long time and now I know how much difference it makes.
God damn you are amazing at sculpturing. You deserve more subscribers
Hey there! This looks awesome, and I was wondering if you sculpt in orthographic or perspective for your 1/6 scale head sculpts?
Mostly perspective. Screenshots you get from shows/movies usually have an angle of view of 30, so it will be more accurate to sculpt in perspective. I only use Ortho when I refer to professionally taken photos which are taken with zoom lenses that causes less distortion.
Really nice figurine!

@@zedabyu thanks for the info! Do you ever have problems with the resin inhibiting the curing of the silicone?
Yes, when I was using the Moai printer, the resin head printed was not primed entirely so there was an area that the mold did not cure properly. As long as you prime it well, you should be fine.
@@zedabyu Awesome! If i ever start a RUclips channel, I will tell my one subscriber to follow to you. I'll say, "Mum, please sub to Zedabyu" :D
Mrs. Nathan can sub to me first while she waits for you to start your channel 🤭
Hi Zedabyu! After printing the head, what are you doing to make them grey and ready to paint? Are you just priming, or using another material first? Thank you :)
just priming would do. unless you find flaws after priming, then you can fill them up with uv clay then sanding them smooth again.
Please do a part 2 video!!
