Correcting my mistake after i saw what @Y-it-Earp wrote. From wiki... di·o·ram·a /ˌdīəˈramə,ˌdīəˈrämə/ noun a model representing a scene with three-dimensional figures, either in miniature or as a large-scale museum exhibit. HISTORICAL a scenic painting, viewed through a peephole, in which changes in color and direction of illumination simulate changes in the weather, time of day, etc. a miniature movie set used for special effects or animation.
"He's not a pea" had me in stitches. Awesome job Kathy! Like that you used the tools/paints you had on hand. Special mention to Luke (BCR) who put me onto your channel quite some time ago. Really enjoying the evolution of the hobby with 3D printing. Oh, a speeder diorama, yes please!
Noticed you still use your card for mixing paint. Check out this Aussie kickstarter wet palette; www.kickstarter.com/projects/otpwetpalette/otp-wet-palette-paint-station No affiliation whatsoever but I have backed it
They have an stl file on the kickstarter so you could print your own 😉 I have a masterson, but I like the idea of their mini palette, and the whole design is very clever. Especially the lid.
Yes please do speeder bike. I also downloaded same bike stl from gambody and have not painted mine yet. Their models are above par! Your skills are amazing! 👍🏼
Anycubic's photon s is around £260 Gbp (Or the Elegoo Mars for about the same) and will do a split model like this over 2 or 3 prints. I figure about £6 - £7 for resin if using the slightly more expensive water washable resin from Amazon at about £22 for 500ml bottle . Water washable saves you shelling out for IPA to clean up. Quality of the Photon s is amazing.
Excellent. Grogu's hair looks so good, really sells it. Your painting is brilliant makes it look full-size. Yes to the speeder bike. I am definitely in the centre overlap of the model railway/sci-fi Venn diagram.
They came out looking fantastic. I'm a HUGE fan of Star Wars in general, including the Mandalorian. Thanks for sharing, Kathy. The speeder bike diorama sounds amazing. Look forward to it.
I go through Oral B disposable electric toothbrushes often. Not from brushing too much, but rather cutting the bristles off and epoxy sand paper or emery boards to the recently cut and shaved bristle pad area. Turning them into electric sanding brushes. Can also cut the complete end off, drill a hole in the neck and epoxy your micro sanding files. I try to do the sanding in a cold area "Not hard where I am located" -3C today. Colder the material the better it sands.
Wow Kathy what a superb piece you of modelling. Inspiration just oozes out from this latest video whether its 3D printing, model making, the attention to detail or the informative comments and tips you pass on definitely makes you in a class of your own. Thank you for sharing.
You have an amazing level of skill and confidence. I'm overwhelmed by the amount of steps involved in this but like everyone else here, loved watching every second. Hats off to your documenting and narrating as well. It's clear the same amount of detail that goes into these figures you put into your videos. Unreal.
Simply put this is amazing, easily the best modeling I've ever seen. The end result and recovery with the dropped head is out of this world. Also another huge step up with your video production 👍👍.
This was inspiring! I think all of the preparation put into the metallic surfaces really shows in the result, and the subtle color shift on the rifle makes me want to try something like that.
This beautiful 3D printed Mandalorian figure is only overshadowed by your Beauty and Beautiful talent. Love that accent I heard when I visited your home page. I am now subscribed.
It came out fantastic. Even if I had a 3D printer, I would never have the patience or skill to make something that looks this good. Back when I used to assemble plastic models, I didn't have a stead enough hand to paint details that were 3-4 times the size of the ones you painted.
"He's not a Pea, He's special..." - might be my favourite line ever from a KMM video. I think your hunch about going darker with the blaster was a good one - it is actually a Bergmann 1896 pistol with minor cosmetic changes, so a sombre black chemical 'bluing' is order of the day there. could probably even stand a retrospective blue-grey enamel wash. Finally, YES - please do the speeder one day. This video has got me thinking about that sci-fi 'bounty hunter' with tracked bike project we chatted about a while back.
Just found your channel. You do a fantastic job with your content! And I would also add it is nice to see a woman in the 3D print space. My niece, who just got into 3d printing, pointed out all of the 3D print content creators are guys. I just sent her the link to your channel. She was very pleased.
Wow! Simply incredible! You did such an amazing job and you also put so much joy and passion into it and made it look so fun! I can’t wait to get mine started.
i really didnt know to much bout color washes, them other peeps didn't explain to well so thank you Kat for the brief info and the dry brush as well ur piece looks fantastic.
Wow, just wow. Happened upon this researching some 3D printers. You are a phenomenal talent that takes great care and pride in your work and it shows. Expertly done 👏👏
This is VERY cool and your narration and editing are spot on. The quality of your work far surpasses that or channels with millions of subscribers and you have most definitely earned my sub!
I am not a fan of these figures, however, you are really talented and have a done a brilliant job on this. It is not often I am really impressed, but the time and care you have put into this is a real credit to you. Fantastic.
oh great video and paint ! THANKS !!! :D
Thank you 😁
Love it Kathy. And do you even need to ask? OF COURSE you gotta make a dio out of this to compliment that amazing paint job!
@Casper Bengtsson Diorama
OF COURSE she needs to ask. Otherwise much less comments would be written. Which would be bad for her
@Casper Bengtsson Italian God...

@Casper Bengtsson Sorry just a response to your question.
this was so thorough and instructional!
Holy, it's nice to see you here Mikey!
HELL YES to the Speeder Bike diorama Kathy, Thank you in advance for what will be another of your beautiful builds, This is the way.
Amazing Kathy 👏🏻💯
I am delighted to have the honour to see your works and listen to your appreciations on it, this is a pleasure from minute 0, thank you for sharing!

Thanks. Luke’s great and he inspired me to get my first 3D printer.
No problem. Appreciate what you do. His scenery is next level & I agree with the inspiration to 3D print. My bank account however does not 😉
Noticed you still use your card for mixing paint. Check out this Aussie kickstarter wet palette; www.kickstarter.com/projects/otpwetpalette/otp-wet-palette-paint-station

I have a home made wet palette but just didn’t think to get it out... they are awesome inventions.
They have an stl file on the kickstarter so you could print your own 😉 I have a masterson, but I like the idea of their mini palette, and the whole design is very clever. Especially the lid.
You are a master!
Yes please do speeder bike. I also downloaded same bike stl from gambody and have not painted mine yet. Their models are above par! Your skills are amazing! 👍🏼
This is absolutely fantastic! I'm so envious of anyone who has a 3D resin printer - not something I'll ever have.

Both Mando and Grogu look amazingly handsome!! Well done! 💙💙💙
Attention to detail to achieve a brilliant finished piece of work but that's why you are one of the best.
Just fantastic!!!
Excellent. Grogu's hair looks so good, really sells it. Your painting is brilliant makes it look full-size.
Yes to the speeder bike.
I am definitely in the centre overlap of the model railway/sci-fi Venn diagram.
Doin the UK proud! One of the best show and tells on printing and painting!
They came out looking fantastic. I'm a HUGE fan of Star Wars in general, including the Mandalorian. Thanks for sharing, Kathy. The speeder bike diorama sounds amazing. Look forward to it.
You can use magnets for parts you want to take off, looks really amazing, I need to get back into painting.
I wish I’d done that on the head. He is stuck on his base using magnets though.
Thanks for posting this. I'm new to 3D printing and have this model. Magnets is a great idea.
Man. You like trains, Star Wars and the Mandalorian. This has to be one of your best. Can't wait for the Speeder. Thank you for all you do, Chris

Some great tips and ideas there. Electric toothbrush! I love it.
Extraordinary detail work, its fantastic to see the evolution. So much patience and so many tiny brushes required!
THIS is absolutely stunning
I can only say WOW!
Unbiased here not into this whole new disney guff, but hands down best mado I seen painted. You did well my old padwan 🤦🏼♂️
Thank you!
That looks a million times better than anything hasbro could make
Round Slippy things easily fly out of your hands. Love it. Great job. I enjoy printing and painting myself.

Wow that has got to be the most impressive thing I've ever seen.
Brilliant, yes please to the speeder bike 😀

Some say that Kathy is still sanding...great guide!

Thank you so much Paul
How are u not a fan of these figures?
@@JayCee-ti7vf Everything is subjective, however, having the ability to appreciate art even if is not your genre is so important.
Excellent, my compliments
😱 will be an incredible diorama and what a paint job 💪🏻
I just bought this during their sale, too. Can't wait to get going on the build. Thanks for sharing!
Phenomenal job
Wonderful work! I say yes to the speeder bike.
Gorgeous
Absolutely awesome, maybe you could repair the razor crest now and bring that back to life 😂
Would love to see a diorama with the speeder bike too 👍
I wish I could repair it! I do have a 3D print deign that I bought so it may appear...
