ABOUT THIS PREMIUM FORMAT™ FIGURE
“When one chooses to walk the Way of the Mandalore, you are both hunter and prey.”
Sideshow presents The Mandalorian™ Premium Format™ Figure, a limited-edition quarter scale figure based on the acclaimed live-action series.
Since the premiere of The Mandalorian™ on Disney+, this mysterious and stoic bounty hunter has become a hit character for Star Wars™ fans both new and old. Known to the galaxy and his targets simply as The Mandalorian, beneath his beskar helmet is Din Djarin™, a former foundling who now walks the Way of the Mandalore with great devotion. But everything changes when he meets an alien asset known only as the Child and the pair become an unbreakable clan of two.
The polystone Mandalorian Premium Format Figure measures 20" tall and is a detailed, dynamic, fully sculpted depiction of this renowned bounty hunter inspired by an iconic shot from the first season of the streaming series. Standing alongside the Child’s signature hovering pram, the Mandalorian braves the dangerous galaxy to protect what was once his prey. His silver armor reflects the hard work and weathering it took to acquire enough beskar to create each piece, complete with his mudhorn signet, the symbol given to him by the Armorer in accordance with Mandalore tradition. Equipped with his bounty hunting tools of the trade, The Mandalorian proves himself to be one of the galaxy’s most skilled and fearsome warriors.

Love this series of behind the Scenes focusing on the tremendous talents of these artist that bring these figures to life thank you sideshow for giving these tremendous artist from painters, photographers etc the appreciation they deserve, that without them these collectables would not be possible...well done sideshow and thank you for a marvelous series.
Do you have Doom figures for sale???
I cant get enough of this series of videos
👀
I love your channel man, you got me into 3D printing! I'm working on my own Mando cosplay haha
🚽💩
If your here me to love the tape masking tho
Their ability to pull detail out of resin is inspiring. You should see about a collab. Most of these videos are procedural, I would like to see tips, tricks and products based video. sounds like something right up your channel's alley.
This is why pieces like these cost so much. I appreciate the art, work, and effort that these artists put into these pieces. Great work!
These are the prototypes. The actual products are not painted by these artists.
the actual ones are definitely painted by cheap chinese labourers, you can even tell this particular model is 3d printed as you can see the layer lines
@@jamesa1995 really?
I always thaught they were factory painted by machines lol
It's still just a piece of cheap plastic, I don't care how many layers of paint they put on it. They should consider another material with some weight and quality feel to it.
@@SweetTorment72 there's still likely hundreds of hours of labor behind it for both sculpting and painting- a more expensive material would _add_ to the cost, not 'justify' it
Okay, I'm not only gonna freak out by the amazing talent of the artist, but will also point out the great talent of the editor of this video. Oh my God that was really well recorded, organised and edited. Amazing work guys!
Thank you so much!
These are my favorite SSC videos. So much artistry goes into each piece, and it's so fun to watch it all come together.
Thank you!
You guys should offer unpainted versions! I would love to paint my own.
You’re braver than me, I would never want to ruin a masterpiece like that with my kindergarten arts and crafts skills.
They lost a lot of money if they do that
@@DuoFurey again my kindergarten arts and crafts skills
@@DuoFurey sometimes I wonder why they don't just use the same or similar factories hot toys uses. I mean sideshow has been their distributor for years now and have even collaborated on some stuff, but I know it's probably not that simple.
@@mandocalrissian6454 Hot toys stuff is very posesable unlike sideshow which is a big plus to hot toys. Sideshow is more akin to prime1studios because they are just statues. Prime1 being much better but the price difference shows.
This was a delight to watch. Fantastic work from highly skilled artists!
@@ALIANALISA go do your googles!
make more video like this!!!
WHOA, SOMEONE I ACTUALLY SUBSCRIBE TO IS HERE IN THE COMMENTS?! Could you upload more comparisons and reupload the "famous people portrayals in movies" compilations please?
@@mandocalrissian6454 youtube demonetized my channel, I won't make any more videos, sorry
@@dimitreze aw man... Do you have a patreon or some other platform? Just know you'll ALWAYS have my support bc I really enjoy and appreciate your videos!👍
@@dimitreze no rocketman comparison?
@Raphael weird plug, but ok.
I really wish you can make this series for every statue you make. Such a great show to watch and admire the skills of the painters
Wow. It’s amazing the amount of work that goes into these pieces. Takes my appreciation for my collection to a whole new level. Definitely make more videos like this, Sideshow.
This is amazing. Discovered this series when i was learning to paint my Warhammer minis. There is so many good and neat tecniques that can be picked from such videos and be put to use in any other painting.
Thanks a lot! Feel free to make more of those :D
This is probaby the best behind the scene / painting tutorial I've ever seen. Whoever got the idea, greenlit this and everyone who worked to make it a reality, THANK YOU. And to the artists, thank you for your craft skills and patience!
Bernardo, I’m amazed with your talent!!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Sooo..sooo satisfying to watch. They have soul in each details.
and this is why final products dont come out like proto. because the level of care and time is never applied in factories.
Well do you wanna pay $250 a figure or $1250 a figure?
@@vhscopyofseinfeld these will be close to 700+ factory
@@vhscopyofseinfeld what companies should do is make the factory paint the prototype so we know what we'll see at the end.
@@vhscopyofseinfeld I’d gladly pay the $1250 for the prototypes they show. The final version of The Child has such a horrible paint job it’s hard to keep it.
Yeah some of my paint jobs have been questionable on some of mine.
El tema Dust to dust está impresionante!!! Las descubrí hace poco y quedé alucinado
So cool to see the pieces come to life. This is definitely an art!
I never once questioned by these collectables cost so much but now I feel like I'm ripping THEM off. I've been painting for a long time, but the relaxed confidence these guys exude really shows how much experience they have. Wonderful series!
Now this is a master painter 🎨 🙌 👏
Phenomenal work! Magnificent artists!
i love these painting videos. such craftsmanship
Wow. The result is amazing. I want to learn to paint figures like this.
I love watching the process of painting with traditional tools and brushes. The Mandalorian Premium Format figure has one of the best paint jobs I've seen! Great video SSC - thanks Bernardo and Anthony!
Our pleasure, thank you so much for watching we're glad you enjoyed the video :)
Awesome job! Some really great skill and techniques shown here.
The end result here is astounding.... excellent workmanship
One of the masterpiece
I really do love these videos! Just to watch them is fascinating!
I have seriously never watched a video on RUclips where I've caught myself saying "OH MY GOD" out loud! This is mind-blowing work right here.
These guys are amazingly talented. Wish I could do 1/10 of that.
Looks awesome, love watching great technique in painting
I am having BIG problems painting my Grogu sculpture and am amazed with the blue wash and then the magenta and yellow in the ears. Amazingly detailed tiny scale painting. They both look amazing Bernardo and Anthony.
If ever there was a question concerning the cost of SSC's collectibles, these videos do a great job in showing us just what we are paying for--Michelangelo in miniature! I truly admire the skill and passion that goes into your products.
That’s some of the best work I have ever seen.
Talented Dude. Most impressive.
Wow, that is just fantastic! What a paint job!
I could watch these dudes paint all day
I learned a lot from this video and will apply some of these techniques on my own too. Thanks for sharing!
You are amazing guys, I love the way you talk about the figure while you brushing it :)
Really awesome work that you do! With this figures nearly everybody jumps back into childhood. They are so awesome and this video truly shows how much work has been put in into every single figure! 👏👍👏
Love it :)
The result is INCREDIBLE ! Holy s***
The Wow Factor!!...Outstanding!
This man takes on so much detail...
Some awesome techniques here, and as always stellar outcome. I can use of these techniques in other genre of model kit painting that I do.
Masterclass! Thanks.
Wow, that's some quality detail work right there...well done!!
absolutely stunning!
That is crazy talent
I love the part where the paint was put on. Awesome!
Some really interesting techniques you don't see from some other painters--flicking a toothbrush for mud/oil splatters, spritzing alcohol, sea sponge for softening washes. Nice!
AHA! Paper plates! Glad to see a pro using that as well. ;-D
Fascinating to watch. So the master does the proto, then onto the factory. Is there a chance of touring the factory? I just wonder how many people are included in the task of bring each figure to market? Awesome work!!!
I’ve never had any interest in collecting or painting any figures ever. However, I found this a rather fascinating video hehe. Cool to see it slowly become so real.
Just simply - WOW! Love it!
Thanks so much!
Love it team! Such amazing talent and love.
This is beautiful, Dank Farrik!!!

Absolutely stunning.
Thank you so much!!
Wowww!!! Great Job!!! Amazing!!!
Wau man, what an artist you are guys, wonderfull
I am fairly new to the hot toys Star Wars collectibles. When I first place my pre-order for the Kenobi series version of Darth Vader I could not believe how long they said the wait time would be. Now, after watching this video I have a whole new appreciation for the amazing talented people with this company that do things by hand. This is the first video that I have watched about the making of and I am blown away. What a wonderful bunch of craftsmen and women you have doing the beautiful work. New subscriber, new customer. Very impressed
Awesome work!
I love that kind a contect more than a revire. Please post more.
I so want your job. Amazing skills for an amazing job. Cheers!
This is perfection...🥺
Superb! Thanks.
WOW!
Damn thats awesome watching a master at work!
absolute gold
Good job! Amazing !
This is the way
Amazing stuff, Love these videos.
Just curious, why freehand airbrush the visor after applying alclad? I feel like even with a super precise needle you’d get overspray around the visor which would likely need to be touched up. I ask because the first coat is already gloss black after primer. Wouldn’t it make more sense to liquid mask or tape mask after that and then pull it up? Seems a bit less risky then what’s shown. Just curious as someone who also paints!
I was thinking about the same thing, pretty odd method of painting the visor
OMG ! this guy is so amazing!
Very cool technique with the puddy!
Amazing detail!!!!
This reminds me when woody was all damage and this guy came in and fixed his arm, gave him a nice cleaning and new colors covering at the end ANDY´s name on his boot.
I loved that guys cleaning kit, especially the glasses.
